Reid is about as PUKIE as those who actually identify themselves as such. He and Pelosi are as criminal as Cheney, and the whole BUSHCRIMEFAMILY. They are co-conspirators of the coup de tat of 2000. They are all scared because the Spanish just won't shut up like they 'should' and leave them to continue their whoring take-down of what used to be a pretty good place to live. At least in Burma, they know who the war-lords are, the enemy in Burma has a face, not like the USofBLOODYISRAEL's coup de tat with the culprits still hiding behind some facade of 'senators', 'reps', 'pres.', Rahm, Kissenger, Biden, OH!, us?? We're just the LOBBIESTs, we aren't the enemy. The ENEMY in the USofBLOODYISRAEL, still hides behind the PROPAGANDAPRESS.

Actually, I think that the guilty are now squirming because they thought they had it all under control, but, the Spanish who keep wanting to prosecute torture/renditions have them all SCARED.

Reid is all for obstructing justice. That audio was incredible. He continued to deny that there was ample evidence that the law was broken and an admission by the person who broke it (Cheney).

He can't even entertain the hypothetical that if a crime was committed, there should be prosecutions. Reid ends by saying he stands with Obama on the issue of a special investigative committee; he doesn't want it. He said that investigating the matter is a rush to judgement. Um. Judgment can only come after the investigation. And Reid has a degree in law.

Please remind me what the difference is between Democrats and Republicans?

Hows that

Republicans shit on your head and laugh at you while they are doing it. Rather sadistic SOB's.

Democrats shit on your head, and tell you its the newest style in baseball caps - so you actually feel good about it. They were obviously raised with a modicum of compassion somewhere along the line.

They want you to know that they really care about you, even though you are still getting the very shitty end of the stick.

Is there another party behind door #3?

I visualized Ron Paul holding a donkey when you said door number 3.
Monty Haul's Raw Deal Show.

Ditto .

ugh

harry reid is the most pathetic "leader" I have ever heard of. my 2 year old can kick his ass.

end? School of the Americas prosecutions? Gulf of Tonkin fraud prosecutions? Invasion of Iraq prosecutions? There are only so many jail cells, and there is simply no room unless the marijuana laws are changed, which Obama thinks is laughable.

because it may lead to other possible crimes,
does not mean you should just bury your fucking head!!!
it goes where it goes.

If we can't get the congress to start an investigation, can we get a newspaper to do it? You know, that is supposedly why a free press is so important.

Or, since media is busy digging its own grave, maybe we can get congress to pass a law that allows the citizens to create a commission with subpeona power to investigate the government. If it is packaged right we might be able to get them to pass it without reading it, like TARP and the PATRIOT Act.

Of course none of this would be necessary if everyone actually paid attention and didn't keep sending people to congress who don't want to do the job of representing the public interest.

as a democrat myself, reid and pelosi are at the
least, disappointing. but they are really beginning
to be two fucking assholes when it comes to letting
bush and cheney just ride out of town without being
subject to the same laws they insist we all follow.
if it's the law of the land, then it's the law
of the land for ALL. not just for those who make
less than $50/thousand a yr. the french revolution
was the solution to nobility abuse. class/tribal warfare
is not far around the corner, if those we elect
don't start respecting ALL of us and not just their
fucking buddies in washington, d c.

i don't believe we should overthrown the current govt,
but the frustrations being felt by those who elect
our representatives in washington, are not going to
put up with this crap much longer and it won't be
pretty.

our leaders repreps in washington
had better follow the law or 2010 WILL BE INTERESTING
for sure.

Seeing the Forest

Here's the new scheme. Employees at firms like AIG are manipulating their TARP money to give hugely favorable deals to other companies. The other company gets a windfall, the employee who handed over the money gets a new "job" for extremely high pay. In other words, a bribe.

I would call it a kickback. Similar idea.

We have a Predator State, its purpose is not to protect the citizens from the predators.

Its purpose is to protect the predators from the citizens.

As I wrote elsewhere on the Pro Publica piece, that's a neat trick, hold prisoners (many of them innocent) indefinitely, but destroy their records, which earlier articles reported were often a complete mess to begin with.

Harry Reid says Cheney tortured, but proposes letting him off!

Harry Reid and the Dems are afraid of Cheney and Bush. I think there's too much dirt on everyone in Washington. Prosecutions would bring the whole house of cards tumbling down. To save their own asses, consent to ignore the crimes will follow.

"We're a nation of laws, not men; but when men decide that the law is not to be followed all bets are off."
