about a year ago you said you were with Etta James for 14 yrs ? , did you ever play at the showcase in Oakland Ca on 33rd and telegraph , I have always been a big time Etta fan having first heard of her about 62 , and I lived on 33rd street .

Of course Obama putting his foot down and doing, would send a lot of Democratic Congresscritters into a sheer panic. It would be interesting times, I think Pelosi &co would suddenly find the table top. They would sacrifice Obama to the Republicans to save their maggot hides.
I played with Etta James off and on for over 20 years. I was her music director for a couple years in the late 80'. A great pleasure for me. One of the first records I ever bought in the early 50's was "Roll With Me Henry." Don't remember all the hundreds of places I played with her though!
i would sneak out of the house and go sit on the corner with my git-tar and listen to people like bobby blue bland , albert king , bb king , ike and tina , seems i remember muddy waters , howling wolf , john hurt , and so many more , age and adult refreshments will do that to you ( this was 1958-1963 era) hell I remember beatnicks and bongos .
Always thought Etta was the real " soul " woman , even got in a fist fight about her , man oh man that woman is all WOMAN . What a great pleasure it must of been for you , i can only be envious of you .
