Do any republican congresscritters have any town hall meetings scheduled?? If they do, will the "protestors" be fenced off a few blocks away?....or will they be arrested?
Probably be sent directly to Gitmo
Last night, congressman Jack Kingston, R-GA, was on the Bill Maher show. He claimed that he's had something like 11 town halls recently, and he had no disruptions. He made the further claim that he has Democrats in his district who are opposed to Obama's health care plan. Kingston denied these town hall disruptions have had anything to do with Republicans, and he seemed to imply that the reporting of these mob disruptions was overblown because, after all, his town halls haven't been disrupted.
One of the outfits promoting these protests is Conservatives for Patients Rights, an organization run by Rick Scott. The CPR website has a listing of upcoming town hall events they encourage people to go to. I have heard that these lists only contain townhalls sponsored by Democratic congresspeople. Sure enough, when I checked the list on the CPR web site, although I only checked a few listings, I saw only Democrats. In the State of Georgia, where Kingston is from, there are 2 congressmen listed, both Democrats. Kingston is not on that list.
And, by the way, if Kingston is correct in saying that Democrats in his district oppose health care reform, then I congratulate those Democrats because they apparently have not caused the massive disruptions that Republican idiots have at Democratic townhall meetings.
you're probably right!
I think the people who are screaming their Nancy Reagan litany of "just say no", should have to go ahead and finish it and tell the truth.......it really means "just say no to a black man being the president".......that's what it all boils down to in the long run. I bet not two of them together oould tell you a single thing about any of the health reform bills being considered in committees.
They would tell you the bill would murder your gramps and finance abortions on demand before protecting them from swine flu.
Any time Bush or Cheney were (or still are) slated to speak somewhere, it's to a hand-picked audience only. On the few instances anyone did speak up against the drivel they were escorted out and sometimes arrested. The cowardly hubris of the GOP is amazing.
AP . . that collection of anonymous, informed sources that lie in support of the fascist intent of corporate world takeover. . . is finally giving in!!! WHO'D A TUNK IT!!!!
