Mike's Blog Roundup
The Bobblespeak Translations: What Obama really said yesterday on Meet the Press. Later in that hour, David Gregory actually did his job...for once
Prairie Weather: The most important health-care document released this week was not Sen. Max Baucus's Healthy Future Act. It was the Kaiser Family Foundation's 2009 Employer Benefits Survey.
Calculated Risk: Senator Dodd pushing new bank regulatory plan
skippy the bush kangaroo: Environmental news
The Washington Note: Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might be Obama's Khrushchev
Rising Hegemon: Conservatives and Porn

Obama Appears to Take Shot at Blogs, Supports Corporate Newspapers. Uh, Weren't the Blogs a Key to His Victory? "I am concerned that if the direction of the news is all blogosphere, all opinions, with no serious fact-checking, no serious attempts to put stories in context, that what you will end up getting is people shouting at each other across the void but not a lot of mutual understanding," he said. This is both a naive, misinformed, and New York Times Addicted elitist sort of statement that is rather disconcerting. While many blogs are opinions; many more are doing the investigative work that the corporate print media should be doing. Pres. Obama is chillingly sounding like a "D.C. Villager" who is caught up in the corporate broadsides of entrenched power. 9/21
Some stuff you can't make up!
It should concern him that Jon Stewart is considered the most trusted journalist in America right now.
Sounds to me like he is caving to the traditional news media and intellectual property lobby.
Yes he works for a corporation and he is human and can be used as a tool, but he has gotten closer to exposing some of these idiots than any journalist I have seen in a while. Such as his interviews with Cramer about the financial crisis and cnbc's role in it.
Everyone has their reigns but Stewart's bridle is a little looser than the other networks.
I strongly suspect that, on balance, most conservatives have better sex lives than most liberals. As evidence of this, consider interactions between the two groups at the Tea Parties. The liberals seem to be more cranky than the conservatives and I have a suspicion as to why.
Consider the guy who got beat up in St. Louis or the guy who had his finger bitten off. Ouch. I doubt that any Tea Baggers bit off anybody’s fingers, as this would have definately made the news.
I would also not trust a banking plan put forth by Senator Dodd.
Bill. Why are the conservative states the largest consumers of porn? With Utah leading the way? Religion and sexual satisfaction don't go together.
The use of porn does not necessarily signify sexual unhealth, in my opinion. There was a South Park episode where Stan’s parents rented a movie to watch in the privacy of their own bedroom. I see nothing wrong with that and I think that those two are relatively conservative.
Dogma religion is a whole different ball of wax as it largely exists to propagate itself. Dogma religion wants to force men to put up with women’s crap without an alternative, and should be seen for what it is.
aren't you?

One of the biggest cash cows in porn is lactators.
I wouldn't mind puttin' ketchup on that.
Diabolus est Deus Inversus
I know a lot of so called liberal people and several (I hate to even think about them) republicans. For each and everyone of them the liberals are much more happy. Always joking and having a good time. No so much with the republicans, first off most of them are to stupid to understand a joke, much less how government works.
If they were smart we would not be having the problems we have now.
You know the things like having our Army in other lands killing brown people for fun and profit. Wallstreet robbing the country.Corporations in control of the media but more important the control over the news that is released in America.
Until we release the strangle hold that the corporations have on our government and the media America no longer exists!
republicanism is a mental illness!

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama's top commander in Afghanistan has told him that without more troops the United States could lose the war that Obama has described as the nation's foremost military priority.
Will O-bought-ma bow yet again to the corporatists who own him???? Afganistan has defeated, soundly defeated every foreign predator who has been foolish enough to try to 'conquer' it. Lemmings get ready for another jump off the cliff of the ZIONIST$$$$$$$$$$ MOB.
Gotta love Bobblespeak translations.
That's why I dropped Direct TV a long time ago. I won't support Rupurt Murdoch and the big perverts in the Reslug party, like the boy chasing Limp-Dick Blimpaugh and Larry Craig for a few.
