The Latest Industry To Ask For Billion Dollar Bailout? The Porn Industry

Hustler's Larry Flynt and "Girls Gone Wild's" Joe Francis say it's the adult entertainment industry's turn for a bailout, TMZ reported.
The economy has hurt their businesses, too, Flynt and Francis said -- sales of XXX DVDs are down 22 percent -- and they want $5 billion from the government.
Congress must "rejuvenate the sexual appetite of America," Flynt said.
I'm pretty sure that Larry isn't actually looking for money so much as looking to make a statement on how the bailouts have thus far been handled, but (and forgive me, it's too easy a joke) if the porn industry goes down, how long will it take before America goes down as well?

You are absolutely right. They have HUGE production costs. You have what the actors get what's that 6 maybe 7 hundred and then there is the writing. They must charge a fortune for those scripts. Not to mention costumes, sets, promotion, the costs are just endless. Just one bed can cost a thousand dollars! and laundry on the sheets!!

I would rather see somebody like Larry Flint, who did us all a major free speech favor with his satirical parody advertisement of Jerry Falwell, get bailout money. (The ad had Falwell nostalgically reminiscing, whilst sipping a glass of his favorite spirits, about the first time he has sex - with his mother behind the family's out house. Falwell sued Flint and the case went all the way to the supreme court, which ruled in Flint's favor - saying that parody is a form of protected free speech) It's a better use of our tax dollars than the corrupt and criminal banking industry will give it.
I think he desereves $5 billion from a grateful nation, just for the Falwell parody contribution to our freedoms. Also for all the other times he has poked the corrupt and the despot in the eye with a stick.

The Porn Industry is a supporter of the Republican Party and donates millions and Karl Rove is one of their biggest fans. Daddy Bush and his son's are long time members of Porn. Some of the Republican Law Makers like Larry Craig, Mitch McConnell and Ashcrof go for the maile Porn but Porn is Porn as they say on the Hill.
Law Makers are always there to help businesses during these Economic times it's only the Taxpayers that shouldn't get a bailout. Boehner thinks his State of Ohio is doing fine and McConnell sees no reason to give his State or any other State money right now. Iraq got 1 Trillion dollars with any questions asked. 109th Republican controlled Congress gave Bush a blank check but Americans will have to deal with nothing. Once Obama can't get the help the American people are bagging for then and only then will McCain/Palin get to take over the White House will Republicans think about helping taxpayers.
Boehner and McConnell didn't say much about the zillions of dollars that went to two wars and to rebuild Iraq after we blew it all to hell. They are all about rebuilding everything but America.

Could I get a small bailout? Just a couple hundred thousand to pay off the mortgage and credit card. Is that much to ask? I think not by recent figures put out there. Has anyone figured out if we added the amounts of both the bank and auto bailouts, if that amount were split up and given to each American person/family, how much would we have gotten? If we were out of debt, wouldn't the market pick up? I know, it's stupid. I'm just fed up.
