'Moderate' Tim Pawlenty Hires A 'Boatload' of GOP Dirty Tricksters to Run His PAC

Via Raw Story, Rachel Maddow points out that in a move to make himself the Republican presidential candidate in 2012, the so-called "sane, centrist, future of the Republican Party" Tim "Fear the Mullet" Pawlenty is putting together the usual assortment of Republican scum to run his political PAC:
Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has signaled with the creation of his Freedom First PAC that he has his eye on the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.
MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, however, believes that far from making him a credible candidate, the list of Pawlenty's consultants and strategists represents "a who's who of some of the worst Republican scandals of the past decade."
Maddow pointed in particular to Pawlenty senior advisor Terry Nelson, a former deputy chief of staff at the Republican National Committee "known for being the guy in charge when the infamous New England phone-jamming
case went down."
That dirty tricks maneuver sabotaged the Democrats' get-out-the-vote operation during the 2002 New Hampshire election and helped elect Republican John Sununu to the Senate. Nelson was the direct supervisor of RNC regional director James Tobin, who was convicted for his role in the case.
Maddow went on to describe how Nelson then left the RNC to beoame a media consultant, hired an advisor to the Swiftboat Veterans, and was behind the notorious race-baiting "Harold, call me" ad that helped defeat the 2006 senatorial campaign of Democrat Harold Ford but was condemned even by many Republicans.
Story continues below...Pawlenty has also hired former White House political director Sara Taylor, who became notorious in 2007 for her role in the US Attorney scandal and her inability to recall anything of significance when called to testify before Congress.

Ask a Republican about what their vision of the country is and watch the vacant stare you get back. They don't stand FOR anything. They're only AGAINST whatever Democrats try to do.
What's scary is that they're trying to piss so many people off about the political process that only a few show up to vote. And that's their one and only plan, and one and only chance at winning in 2010 and 2012.

The only way to counter these a-holes is to fight back early and fight back hard. The voters may dislike bullies, but they dislike pussies even more!
No Republican is moderate when seeking that party's presidential nomination. The truth is the GOP has careened so far to the right that it may not be possible to call any Republican genuinely moderate anymore. In relative terms, when compared to the ultra-wingers, there may be a few moderates, but you really have to torture the word moderate to use it to describe modern Republicans.

No surprise here , this jackass is a phony as they come , I was in Minneapolis recently and even the conservative Tribune called him on his switching immediately from a " moderate " to a birther ( etc.)catering to the nut jobs using their rhetoric just as soon as he became a candidate for the 2012 nomination . He will be irrelevant , just another Repug fart in the wind .
Well, if these past too-many years of dealing with republicans has taught me anything, it is how to commit blatant, often serious crime and get away with it. And if I should get caught, they have taught me how to stay out of jail and then become even more successful. Thanks, republicans!
I was in Texas fighting hard to prevent George W. Bush from becoming governor and fighting harder to prevent him from becoming president. Many people thought I was paranoid and did not think W could win because he was an idiot. Well, we know he still managed to take over the office of the presidency despite the fact he stole it.
I now live in Minnesota, and I can tell you Pawlenty is very slick. He looks good to the cameras and with Republicans image is everything. Attack Pawlenty early and often. Do not allow his campaign get off the ground.
His campaign will be the second coming of Lee Atwater while he smiles and looks pretty for the camera.
