Hardball: Tom DeLay spreads Obama smears, reminds why he's so loathed

Just in case you forgot, Tom DeLay appeared on Hardball this afternoon to remind us just how much of a scumbag he is. Chris Matthews asks about the tone of the campaign and whether it's been appropriate. Of course not, Delay responds, McCain hasn't been assertive enough. Get that? McCain's campaign hasn't been sleazy enough according to this a$$hole. In order to make his case, DeLay goes down the laundry list of Obama smears, including but not limited to, he's a Marxist, a radical, a black liberation theologist, terrorist sympathizer, and Constitution-hater. Please don't watch this clip if you have high blood pressure. It should really go down in the Hall of Shame, something we can look back on in five or ten years from now and marvel at.

The AP, to their credit, does a great job of debunking DeLay's despicable smear of Obama re: his views on the Constitution.
Whatever you may think of Tweety, he usually does a good job of smacking around wingnut Congressmen. For some reason, though, he always grovels at DeLay's feet. I just don't get it. I really don't get why any network (other than FOX, of course) would give this putz a platform to spew his crap.

And both Hardball and Morning Joe have the best guests on,,,trouble is both Chris and Joe are shooting their mouth off 99% of the time. Joe Scarborough is a woman hater who has never shown any woman the least bit of respect. And Chris should be on 'Talk Radio' instead of TV where he could ask himself questions and answer them himself. His TV show should be called 'Fast Pitch Softball'. Chris asks his questions about 20 different ways and the guest has no chance to get a word in. Then Chris says, "thank you John or Jane Doe. We'll be right back with the 'Hardball Sideshow"????????? What the hell, Chris, your show is ALL Sideshow!!! Do your homework and figure out the best way to ask your question and then ask it........ONCE!!! Then allow the guest 30-45 seconds to answer it. Chris is a nervous wreck.
As for Joe Scarborough, he is simply a Smug, Arrogant, Self Righteous, Holier Than Thou, Big Mouth, Radical, Right-Wing ASShole. Why MSNBC keeps jerks like Joe Scarborough, Pat Buchanan and Tucker Carlson on their payroll is beyond me. There has been a lot of litigation surrounding the indictments themselves, though at least one is still standing, and DeLay awaits trial. Also, the DA in the case will not be running for reelection, and another DA will have to take over. It'll take some time.

There's a B for bold, an I for italics, an S with a line through it for striking, a box that resembles a discolored American flag that's for block quoting . . . . . and right next to that . . . .

So, if you copy a URL, then highlight something in your post, and then click that chain link symbol, a pop up box will appear. In which you can paste the copied URL. And that'll make the href work.
At least, that's how it's supposed to work. If you're doing that, but it's not working, you can try to manually enter the code.

I don't know what the fuck black liberation theology is but it sounds like to me if you're against it, you're for slavery.
"Black Liberation Theology" comes from a man called Howard Thurman who wrote "Jesus and the Disinherited" and who was himself influenced by Gandhi. He, in turned influenced Martin Luther King Jr. (all commie, pinkos of course)
I read his book "Jesus and the Disinherited" and was blown away. He showed how revolutionary the philosophy of Jesus was in undermining the oppression of the Roman Empire.
The oppressor expects the oppressed to respond in certain ways and he builds a system of oppression around that anticipated response. When the oppressed responds with Hate, Fear and Deceiption s/he is reinforcing the oppressors system. Jesus undermined that system by encouraging responses of Love, Courage and Truth. From there Thurmon outlined a stratgy of overcoming the racism indemic in the US by not falling into the trap of hate-fear-deception.
Does it work? Just look at Barack Obama and the way he's run his campaign. Then look at McCain flailing like a mad man in response.... :)

This time, in addition to turning down the volume, I sent an e-mail to Chris Matthews asking him why he even bothered to have this "washed up" nobody on his show because nobody even cares what he has to say. Don't mistake Matthews' handling of the Bachmann anti-American blow up for him being some sort of new and improved Tweety; he honestly thinks that controversy spread solely because of everyone that watched Hardball, instead of it going viral, so that's why he so forcefully pushed that story last week. At heart, he's still the same Chris Matthews that thinks interrupting people is journalism and shameless opportunism is a lifestyle. If by some miracle McCain manages to win the election, Tweety will be there all over McCain, acting like he never did any wrong and ran a brilliant campaign, while waxing rhapsodic over the wisdom of the red states.
