Tomorrow I'm moving out, and will be without regular intertubes for a while, not sure how long it will be, and as much as I love Kindle, the internet browser on it will not allow me to post. I will be keeping up with the staff's original posts as I have a subcription to the feed on the Kindle. I just won't be able to snark, complain, click on ysb's youtube links, or even see what you all are snarking on yourselves. I hope I don't go into withdrawal. :-/

I'm not running off just yet, so I'll prolly repeat myself when I do go to bed, but if I'm not back online by last week of the month, Happy/Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Solstice, etc. <3 :)

notice the chasm of discrepancy between what Obama says and what he actually does?

calgarylady's picture
yep

Obama just says it more prettily than dubya ever did. That's one thing to be thankful for, I guess ....

The Animal House antics of ArmorGroup North America's guards have cost the company its 5-year, $189 million State Department contract to protect the US embassy in Kabul. Following a months-long review, the agency has decided it won't renew the contract, as it has done for the past two years, when it comes due in June, according to State Department spokesman Fred Lash. "The department's Office of Aquisitions Managment, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, and Embassy Kabul reviewed the contract and concurred that the next option year should not be excercised and that work should begin immediately to compete a new contract," Lash told me.

What a genius. Such a pity he stopped composing and performing. Can't count the number of times I've wished for his biting wit over the years.

My comment went to the wrong place.

Today was going to be a big day because of an inspection by the Department of Housing, but due to Schwarzenegger's budget cuts, the Department of Housing has postponed the election until after the new year. :-\

Damn, and I was so ready to move too!
