Oh, this one was fun to watch. Ari jumped onto the ice with a Hypocrisy Double Axel, immediately attacking the Obama administration and the "Democrat" party for... wait for it... being childish!
Yeah, Ari, because calling the Democratic Party the "Democrat Party" is so awesomely mature. (I know you are, but what am I?)
But that was just the beginning. Ari was spinning and leaping all over the place as he clutched his pearls, wondering over and over what happened to the "post-partisan" Obama? To hear him talk, he was puzzled and hurt by the vicious slash and burn tactics of the president and his party, and kept repeating how "childish" it all was.
Shuster wouldn't stand for his nonsense, though. He cited chapter and verse, including the time Ari attacked Move On and the entire Democratic party as "unpatriotic" over the General Petraeus ad.
Just go watch it. If this is the best media spokesperson the Republicans can throw at us, we're in good shape.

Why do the Repubs keep trying to get the Dems to fight by their (unfair) rules. We're supposed to fight fair, act like grownups, and be "bi-partisan" (meaning bend over for them). The same talking points were used last night on CNN with Anderson Cooper. The one question I wished Shuster had asked is simply this: If Rush represents only a wing of the Republican party (the one that hopes Obama will fail) as Ari suggests is it not fair to ask every Republican publicly if they are members of that wing? Do they have the courage of their convictions or not?

How did Obama create this distraction when it was the conservative Republican's own convention.

A simple question that was asked repeatedly, and it's one that I think Ari Fleisher SHOULD answer and not be allowed to avoid answering is: Do you think it's unpatriotic for someone to say that he hopes the President fails and that all republicans think that too? It's a simple question. There is a simple yes or no answer. But that answer would be too revealing and Fleisher knows he doesn't want to reveal his true self. How's that, coming from and upstanding honorable member of the conservative, right wing, intellectual, elite republican establishment? He wants the President and thus, the country, to fail? Priceless.
