That's because the melodic motif was also used in Mac DeMarco's "Chamber of Reflection" off of his album Salad Days. I posted that one a while back, but just came upon this song now and noticed the similarity. I'm not aware if DeMarco knew about it or did it intentionally, even though Sekito isn't credited on "Chamber." Check out DeMarco's song and compare them yourself:
