I worked in retail for years. Most of it in Mom & Pop stores.There were those handful of years I worked in a large corporate mall setting though. My idealism of providing a service and good to people who really wanted something went out the window then. It was all about moving "product" and hustling useless and needless junk that people don't really need or want but they've been convinced that they have to HAVE it.

My thoughts are with those working in the Black Friday retail trenches today.
