We're going to have a cicada outbreak this summer. It happens every few years, and these winged creatures are so noisy it can affect car accident rates due to sleep loss in humans. Seriously, buy earplugs now.

John Oliver was off this weekend, but he published this video to YouTube to highlight the upcoming cicada outbreak.

And of course, he used the story to teach us all some lessons in US history.

The cicadas hatching this summer were conceived in 1999. John Oliver decides to help the long embryo'd bugs catch up on what they missed since conception. (?)

"We no longer pay for music or porn, and we seem to be getting away with it!"

Can you help us out?
