Midday Open Thread - Spike Jonze's Subversive Perfume Ad

Yeah, it's a web ad for a bottle of perfume. But it's really a short film about rebellion.

A video so full of awesome, you can actually forget it's a perfume ad, and I would.

Spike Jonze directs Margaret Qualley, star of the HBO series "The Leftovers" and the movie "The Nice Guys," in a video for Kenzo perfume. Qualley is also, obviously, a remarkable and highly trained dancer.

Choreography is by Ryan Hueffington, who does a marvelous job allowing the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles to accompany Qualley as her dance partner.

The soundtrack is “Mutant Brain” by Jonze’s brother Sam Spiegel, featuring Ape Drums.

Enjoy, dance along, and it's an open thread...

Can you help us out?
