To make even a short list of groups that German band Neu!, who formed in Düsseldorf in 1971 when Klaus Dinger and Michael Rother as an offshoot for the early line-up Kraftwerk, continue to influence and inspire here in 2016 could be a bit of daunting task.

A lot of post-punk, electronic, indie rock, noise-pop and, naturally, experimental bands owe a debt to them and plenty pay tribute in many forms because of it.
