Fox News hosts nearly lost their minds when their reliable Trumpster, Geraldo Rivera, dared show some political and intellectual independence for a minute and a half.
Jedediah Bila brought up the anonymous op-ed that appeared in The New York Times last week, and parroted the right-wing talking points, outraged, OUTRAGED, and insisting the author be hunted down by the Department of Justice and punished for the vile traitor that he or she is. What do YOU think, Geraldo? Should the DOJ get involved???
While he talked a good Republican game about how furious, FURIOUS he is on the Orange Menace's behalf, Geraldo landed actually on the side of reason, here. He said a lot of shitty and untrue things about people in the DOJ (how patriotic!) but stuck to his guns about the fact that nothing in the op-ed was of a national security nature, nothing was a threat, and President Putinlecher should just move on and learn how to take a punch.
Flustered and betrayed, Bila and Hegseth kept trying to convince Geraldo of the imminent danger this op-ed author posed. What if NEXT time a threat is revealed? What if NEXT time a secret is exposed? What if this guy or gal is double talking our allies?
NO, Pete, we wouldn't want that, would we? Double talking our allies is the Manbaby-In-Chief's job. Threatening the security of the nation is HIS bailiwick.
Back to Geraldo: no matter what outlandish scenario the Fox nitwits came up with, he stuck to his assessment - at least about the fact that DOJ is not needed here, and there is no security threat at all about this letter. I'd argue there isn't much anything at all about this letter at the end of the day, but that's another post entirely.
