Atlanta band Algiers recently released their 3rd album, There Is No Year. Like their previous releases, the album is a melange strange gospel and soulful post punk. It smolders at one moment and bursts into flames the next. The latter is appropriate way to describe a lot of the lyrics on the album as they examine and discuss a world that is becoming scorched with disorder, disinformation and distrust.
