We're just days away from the election and I have to admit, I'm a little scared. Not because it's Halloween, either. I know the progressive blogosphere has been working day and night to get out the vote, but have we gotten enough people to commit to vote to counter-balance these clearly low-information voters? Because argue between ourselves over the spinelessness and timidity of the majority, there is no way you can convince me that letting these chuckleheads with their irrational fears and abject stupidity get their candidates in office won't make the country much, much worse.
Speaking of irrational fears and abject stupidity, Fox News Sunday has cornered the market this Sunday. None other than the tea party queen Sarah Palin will grace the final mid-term election coverage push. And if that's not enough, you could always watch Michael Steele on State of the Union or John Cornyn on This Week or Peter King on Face the Nation. And since we're only days away from an election, curiously, we've had another terrorist attack thwarted. Again. Funny, that. Counterterrorism expert John Brennan will be on both This Week and Meet The Press to discuss the Yemeni explosive threats. Maybe we'll start examining cargo planes more thoroughly.
ABC's "This Week" - Sens. John Cornyn, R-Texas; and Robert Menendez, D-N.J.; and John Brennan, White House counterterrorism adviser.
CBS' "Face the Nation" - Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y.; Gov. Tim Pawlenty, R-Minn.; Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.; Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa., and Brennan.
NBC's "Meet the Press" - Democratic National Committee chairman Tim Kaine; Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss.., and Brennan.
NBC's "The Chris Matthews Show" - Panel: Norah O'Donnell, John Heilemann, Howard Fineman, Helene Cooper. Topics: How Many Senate Seats Will Republicans Pick Up Tuesday? Will Barack Obama Do The "Clintonian Backflip" That Republican Leaders In Congress Are Demanding? Was It Possible For President Obama To Limit Midterm Losses And Still Pass Health Care and Stimulus? YES: 8 NO: 4; Would President Obama Be Smarter To Stay On The Attack Against Republicans? YES: 10 No: .2
CNN's "State of the Union" - Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele; Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and Brennan.
CNN's "Fareed Zakaria GPS" - The American Dream: the idea that anybody can get ahead, can succeed, can enrich themselves with hard work and smarts. Is that idea dead?
"Fox News Sunday" - Sarah Palin; Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md.
So as I get my kiddies ready for trick or treating tonight, what's catching your eye?
