This Week with George Stephanopoulos notes the passings of filmmaker John Hughes, model Naomi Sims, former Carter aide and lobbyist Anne Wexler and screenwriter Budd Schulberg. In addition, the Pentagon has released the names of 14 servicemembers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

According to iCasualties, the number of allied servicemembers killed in Iraq is now 4,648, in Afghanistan, 1,297. During this same week, Iraq Body Count lists 113 Iraqi civilians killed in Iraq. For the month of July, 418 civilians were killed, including 20 children.
