However, we would be remiss if we didn’t also note the passings of comedian Greg Giraldo and television producer/screenwriter Stephen J. Cannell. According to iCasualties, the total number of allied service members killed in Iraq is 4,742; in Afghanistan, 2,124, of which, 152 are Canadian. During this same period, Iraq Body Count lists 39 Iraqi civilians killed. For the month of September, 247 Iraq civilians were killed.
