This Week with Christiane Amanpour notes the passings of five soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

US Army SGT Adam D Craig, 23, Cherokee, IA
US Army SGT Kevin W White, 22, Westfield, NY
US Army SPC Riley S Spaulding, 21, Sheridan, TX

The total number of service members killed in Iraq is now 4,770; in Afghanistan, 2,445, of which, 155 are Canadian. During this same period, Iraq Body Count tallies 112 Iraqi civilian deaths.

And although, This Week with Christiane Amanpour limited their report strictly to American troop loss, we acknowledge the passings this week of golfer Seve Ballesteros, screenwriter Arthur Laurents, and actor Jackie Cooper.
