Australian APEC Protesters Attempt "Mooning" World Record

bart moons bush? Gotta love those Aussies...Mass mooning of Bush/APEC at 3:00 this afternoon. From Bums For Bush (not exactly safe for work)

Bush is coming to Sydney. Thousands of police, total CBD lockdown, draconian new laws to stifle all protest. Just so nothing disturbs Howard's moment of glory.

APEC's agenda is more free-market madness, more nuclear power, more warmongers deciding how best to [common expletive] the world over.

Is this the future we want? Let's tell Bush what we really think about his visit. Only 4000 cheeks are needed to make the biggest moon in history - a world record Australia can really be proud of.

They should do this EVERYWHERE - it should be the official Bush protest.

Can you imagine how upsetting it would be for the little prick - that wherever he went in the world - 10's to 100's of thousands of people pulled their pants down to insult him. He'd have to live with the fact that the entire world knew it. Each new group/country could work to out-do the last. It would be AWESOME!

Even Fox wouldn't be able to ignore that.

Okay - so maybe they would . . . .

Be assured, my Arse will be proudly displayed !!

I cannot express in words just how much I dislike George W Bush and his actions. And I am embarrassed and ashamed that our Elma Fudd look alike Prime Minister is licking his boots like the cowering faithful dog he is.

Iraq is one of the biggest crimes of our generation, already, right now, the children of Iraq, the future generations of people from that region will hate us, and NO, it's not for our Fucking freedoms!

It is because we have killed and injured hundreds of thousands of their Friends and Family, we have destroyed their country.
Just about every single person in Iraq has been negatively affected by this tragic, disastrous and wasteful War.

The children of Iraq will grow up with hate in their Heart. Hate that we forced onto them.

Sadly, many of them will want payback.

THIS is what our leaders have done. They have forced millions of people into a corner, into a dark place where many will not recover from.

Please help stop the illegal and immoral occupation of Iraq.

we should march on the capitol in D.C., a very dignified march and totally in silence as someone else has proposed in an earlier post of another day. thousands of people marching and when the capitol building is completely surrounded or the area between the george washington spire and the capitol building is completely filled, then and only then everyone should turn facing away from the capitol building and then moon bush and his bastard administration.............

Wess's picture

I just wanted to add that on channel 7 (free to air, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch) is showing the march and protest on the TV LIVE and I think this will be going for the entire FOUR HOURS !!!!

I don't know whether this is a good or a bad thing?

Obviously they want to show the protesters scuffling with the cops (so as to show them/us in a bad light), but, if this doesn't happen and it is a "quiet" protest, then they may well be giving us some very good coverage.

Lots of interviews with the marchers and some very well spoken, articulate people are making some very good points.

Australia has had Equine Flu this season so there will be NO horses used by the Police at the marches and protest.
:-)

While I feel bad for the Horses, it's suck eggs for the cops because they will not be able to push the crowd around on their beasts of burden.

Quite a few people have died including about 8 children this year from Influenza. All Horse movement has been stopped because of the Equine Flu.

(I had the Flu this year myself and I know how bad it was, it was only the second time in my life I have had the Flu but it really does knock you about).

Just wanted to say that Channel 7 isn't own by Murdoch. Because of the media laws in Australia (which I think are being, or have been recently, overturned) Murdoch cannot own a free to air TV station, just as someone who owns a Free to Air TV station (I.E, Packer) cannot own a newspaper.

Sydney: Bare Bottom Protest against Bush & War (APEC)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8tjl2Opt0U
Added: 12 hours ago
From: news6776
07.09.2007 - Around 50 people have bared their bottoms in protest against APEC and the visiting US President George W Bush. A group calling themselves 'Bums for Bush' exposed themselves in Sydney's Hyde Park during a protest rally this afternoon (07.09.2007). Organiser Will Saunders says its a fun and Australian way to get the anti-Iraq war message across.

In a protest against the Iraq war and global warming, dozens of people bared their buttocks on Friday in a Sydney park not far from where world leaders were gathered for a regional summit.

bettestreep's picture

ryoko - you make a very valid point. If we aussies hate Howard so much - how did we elect him?

Well I can answer this in 2 ways - for eg. how did Americans re-elect Bush??? The first time was because the US Supreme Court RIGGED it so Bushie could win. The 2nd time was because Karl Rove and his cronies created a brilliant smear campaign against the superior John Kerry! Esp targetting voters about terrorism and gay rights - the 2 most evil things in American voters thoughts - and , sadly, still probably are!

How does this relate to Howard being re-elected?

Well he has used the "scare" campaign a few times now. Against muslims, asylum seekers, gays and blacks. Seems that has worked a treat. But his best was using the ol' "economy" ploy. Vote for me if you want interest rates to stay lower!!!!

And sad to say - Australian voters have been as gullible as US voters have been.

The GOOD news is that the Australian voters are now tired of this horrible little man with all his lying and half-truths and esp. his bum-licking of your Bushie! So he will hopefully be gone by years end. WELL - unless this latest Osama video doesn't scare voters again (why doesn't this all ring alarm bells??? What a freaking coincidence???? Methinks the video is such a desperate attempt to win votes....)

no longer a proud american's picture

what the clip showed and it was readily apparent was a second rate failing media whore of a talk show host attempting to engage a presidential candidate in his belief of a meaningful interview on current issues. This done only from the standpoint that it would boost sagging ratings and propel him to the top of conservative prostitutes. Only problem there, the talk show host came only armed with a popgun, the gop talking points, and he was hunting for a grizzly in kicinich. well, the outcome was clearly that the talk show host was over matched and he was "schooled" at every turn.

how can people of intellect and purpose put up with mental midgets such as tucker carlson. when they are laid bare, without the strength of a mindless audience cheering them on, we can see what they bring to the table...nothing. Kucinich remains my candidate. he is a man of strength, courage and conviction. we need to push his candidacy at every turn or the wonderful "media" of this here united states will continue to try and convince us all that he doesn't have a snowball's chance.

When I read this, I immediately went to my back door (that faces south) and pulled my pants down sending my moon halfway around the world in order to be counted. So, make that 4001 moons!

By the way, heard this joke and had to share...

A man died and went to heaven. As he stood in front of Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He asked, “What are all those clocks?” St. Peter answered, “Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock will move.”
“Oh,” said the man, “Whose clock is that?” “That’s Nelson Mandela’s. The hands have never moved, indicating that he never told a lie.” “Incredible,” said the man. “And whose clock is that one?” St. Peter responded, “That’s Abraham Lincoln’s clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life.”
“Where’s Bush’s clock?” asked the man. St. Peter responded, “Bush’s clock is in Jesus’ office. He’s using it as a ceiling fan.”

While a large percent of us seem to be walking around with blinders my friend, please don't over generalize. Half the voting public did not ask for this guy, and we're doing what we can to deal with him now. Unfortunately, what escapes the US in the form of "news" is nearly as whitewashed as what is allowed in to us.
