Blackwater's Heartfelt Christmas Message
Photo and more from TPM:
Every Monday, Blackwater emails a newsletter to its supporters and potential clients called the Blackwater Tactical Weekly. Often it's a compendium of conservative-media pieces about how everything's awesome in Iraq, accompanied by a few quick company notes. But today's Christmas Eve. And during this season of reflection, the company would be remiss if Blackwater didn't place itself in its proper spiritual context.
Some excerpts:
GIVING... is something with which all Peace Keepers are very familiar... Giving time in ways that most do not understand... Giving up pleasures and presence of family to patrol streets, conflicts and battlefields... Giving up comforts that most take for granted... Giving companionship to a fellow Peace Keeper because you are together in the same endeavor at home and on foreign fields... Giving support to those in need of assistance... Giving life and limb, risking injury or death, so that the people they love and care for may continue to live in peace and safety in their world.
Of course, T.X. Hammes and other actual defense experts don't believe Blackwater and the U.S. military "are together in the same endeavor." Rather, Blackwater's wilding out makes things worse for the U.S. military in Iraq. But in Moyock, NC, nothing says Christmas like cynical exploitation of the troops! Read on...

F^#% Blackwater!
Merry Christmas.
Special Christmas message from yours truly:

Will be covering California with these things over the next few days.
Giving copious quantities of lead to the peoples of the world.
(Sorry, I couldn't help myself)
:Giving up pleasures and presence of family to patrol streets, conflicts and battlefields… Giving up comforts that most take for granted…"
....so that you may be the ideal TOOL for our controllers to rape and pillage
all of the un-desirables.
Giving the Iraqi people a taste of cold, racist brutality, American style.

Back atcha!
Erik Prince riding in on his white horse to battle Kali and his dark forces.
How ironic
I think we've found the Fourth Horseman.

fiver @ 1:
It's OK to say "Fuck Blackwater"......Fuck their "culture war" too.

I highly recommend this book about Blackwater:
Blackwater: The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army
Others say were supposed to think of it like this.
"It’s like Bonanza," says Wrenn. "The Cartwright family were cowboys, but wearing white hats. They were the good guys, the people you want your neighbors to be. Yeah, they carry guns, but it’s the nature of the business."
Okay, Lil Joe Prince then huh?
Blackwater sucks!
Prince is satan!
Blackwater may be the worst but there are other private mercenary armies now in Iraq in the 10's of thousands and none seem to be held to any law, American or Iraqi. These are the lawless bastards that will be following us home.
Avid Reader @ 10:
The author, Jeremy Scahill, did a great interview with Bill Moyers.
Militias like Blackwater are a real threat to our democracy. Who knows what they are bringing back to this country from Iraq as far as explosives, and other weapons.
L.A. Confidential @ 7:
Classic projection which gwpinhead has down to a personal science. How can we NOT hate them? Oh, right. That's what they FEED on.
Bluesage @ 13:
you're right, blackwater is the worst.
Nothing says peace-keeper like a little unprovoked slaughter. If Eric Prince knew what the word 'peace' meant, I think it might occur to him that slaughter does not make for long-term peace strategy. It's got to be hard for the Iraqis to think the country/paramilitary force that invaded them has had a change of mind and desires to make the country stable when they continue to randomly open fire on crowds and people driving to work.
But Jesus says it's okay. I mean, they're selflessly getting paid five times what the military gets, they have non-existent oversight and their founder belongs to a sect that believes that Islamic culture exists (like any non-Christian culture) to be crushed, so really the contractors are out there doing the Iraqis a favor for Jesus and conquering them. (Do any of these people read the Sermon on the Mount?) And of course, once the Iraqis 'see the light,' they'll appreciate the Blackwater contractor's sacrifices. The Iraqis just need to be shown the error of their ways.
I mean, the Iraqis left in the country, that is. And those not needed for prostitution, 'cause there's got to be some compensation for the poor mercenaries when they can't molest their own female employees/co-workers.
It's so tough to be a 'peace-keeper,' ain't it?
Important issues for today include whether or not mercenary armies are good things. My Fifth Grade History teacher would have thought we're nuts.
lucid fiction @ 4:
& being paid quite handsomely for your efforts too.....
isn't that something....
what I am curious about is this current controvery regarding the CIA and the interrogation tapes...
is it partly in due to divert attention from Blackwater?.....
Lest we forget, Blackwater spawn (thousands) will return HERE...absorbing into our SOCIETY. Goons accustomed to big salaries. What say we do about that inevitibility?
Well armed sociopaths abound . . . warm thoughts?
I made a billion on us tax payers and killing innocent iraqies...........
Avid Reader @ 22:
& fuzzy ones too....
Damn....
...'so go and kill,it doesn't matter who, just kill'....sick bastards
crazytown @ 21:
Yeah, I've wondered when the "disposal problem" that these guys represent will be brought up in public discourse.
Potrero Calif seems to have thought of it, too.
Avid Reader @ 22:
What we should be attentive to is what is NOT being said. Then we should definitely start saying it.
The chinese ingratiated themselves with the Tibetan people just before they nailed them.
Kind of like taking a French bath with cloying perfume to cover the stench that underlies.
(Not to dilute the message, I am of french heritage and can joke of my own, eh?)
I watched Eric Prince being questioned by Dennis Kucinich about Blackwater's activities.
He had this bored little cocksucker grin on his face, like, "Who's THIS guy? Why do I have
to answer these questions?".
Blackwater and other mercenaries are a problem for our country,
but there are MANY MANY more of us than them.
FUCK THEM.
What a Pompous, Pious, Pontificating Putz, is this Prince of Death.
Erik Prince gives new meaning to "Pees on earth".
And I though these mercenaries were just hired guns with a license to kill. Had I known they were actually peace keeping angels from on high I would have ignored the bodies and flaming wreckage in their wake.
It is always funny to see how these so called "Christian" peeps like Prince (last I checked the asshole is a fairly devout born again evangelical) always try to find a loop hole in the teachings of Jesus to justify their positions, and sleep like a baby at night. Even though their actual possitions/interests are diametrically opposed to what that Jesus feller was all about.
So there we have it, this Prince bastard figured out that since they can be contracted as "Peacemakers" that boom... he is down with Jesus. Even though the "Peacemakers" that Jesus was referring about were fairly different in concept and practice from the "peacemaking" that Blackwater et al engage.
It is like that sketch in which a filthy rich guy had contracted a company to make a huge needle with an eye large enough for a camel to pass comfortably through. And thus, finding a loophole so that he can enter heaven, afterall it was Jesus who said that "it would be easier for a camel to pass through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter heaven..."
In my opinion this whole born again bullshit business is more about motivational speaking and finding loopholes to justify the plight of subuvanites than actual Christianity....
These Blackwater thugs were deployed to New Orleans after Katrina to patrol the streets and scare the hell out of people. It should have been and should always be our National Guard that comes to the rescue in a national emergency but they were in Iraq along with most of the equipment from the area. Bush and his Dick have literally shattered our country and made a mockery of all we should stand for. I hope these bastards leave quietly in 08.
We need to discuss this fuckhead Prince's future role being squeezed through the back door.
We need to discuss getting our National Guard back under the jurisdiction of the state governors before it's too late. This has only happened since the convenience brought by Katrina. I wrote Olbermann at the time and begged him to do a story about this, and he DID! That was the end of it at the time.
This is very timely to raise again while the prince of manlove is wearing his Sunday Best.
sulphurdunn @ 31:
Sweetheart, I believe you didn't receive those state-issued rose-colored glasses so these mercenaries endeavors would appear more palatable....
rmb @ 15:
That may be part of the plan, crush the hearts and minds of all that oppose. If their hearts and minds aren't crushed, then blow a hole through them.
Oops! I hope the bastards leave quietly in "09". I've not heard much from the candidates on Blackwater and what they will do to reign in this private army lawlessness and cancel these billion dollars contracts with a freak like Eric Prince.
Bluesage @ 37:
That's really an important point....
WE need to start asking questions to these prez candidates....
yes... and give group sex freely to your male colleagues, so they won't have to drug it out of you...
ticktock @ 38:
BINGO!
(that is, if we have an election..or if we do, if it IS an election given the media mindfuck it actually is, as we, if we, go through the motions of an election.)
Brown Shirts! That's all they are.
Pete Bogs @ 39:
Just watch about getting a tooth snagged on those fishnet stockings.
crazytown....
I feel you, just need to keep clarity in the more than likely cloud of BS that will be shed during this election....
Ask the question and don't stop until you get a real answer....
Got to split, good luck everybody (we'll need it)....
It is worrisome to think that these highly paid killers that are now roaming around Iraq killing people as well as animals, apparently just for the sport of it in many cases, will be coming home. Something like Blackwater might not be so easy to just roll back and disban.
I couldn't read this without thinking about the Peacekeepers of the "Farscape" universe:
Fits, yes?
The Mafia used to give out a lot of stuff during the holidays too.
Bluesage @ 44:
Which is why we MUST question ALL candidates. Especially to get Hillary and Obama out of the closet.
Honestly, who doesn't think Blackwater and automatically conjure up an image of giving?
How about "giving mercy to those who are standing in front of your barrel"?
I think these are the guys that our elite will rely upon in the future, should democracy rear its' ugly head in the USA.
RickinSF @ 50:
"But we're not gonna LET 'em are we"...quote gwpinhead '04 debate with John Kerry.
Pretty amazing abuse of language, when "violent, mercenary war-mongers" get called "Peace-keepers".
"You are my Parish". Is there any doubt Prince is speaking of himself here?
Hitler had the SA, Cheney has Blackwater.
Eric Prince might want to consider what happened to Ernst Rohm.
I can't for the life of me figure out what goes through the minds of people that still buy this crap. Ignorance is no longer an excuse. Then again I can't understand what was going through their minds in 2000 and 2004.
On the issue of Blackwater loose in our towns: there are a lot more of us than there is of them. If it comes to that, and we know this is what they have in mind (as that little CONSERVATIVE california town showed us) as they attempt to diss the integrity of our own military right down to the national guard, the main point is to return the NG to state jurisdiction where they belong. This is totally crucial.
The best these jagoffs can do is make a few 'examples': otherwise they are wide open to being swamped by the likes of you and me.
Dear God............
I pray to thee that Erik Prince's penis rots, shrinks, turns putrid, and falls off.
I pray to you, oh maker of all things, that Erik Prince develops festering boils and cysts on his "nether regions" so that he will be unable to sit or shit.
I pray that a tapeworm enters his eye socket (which one is up to you, O Lord) and plays cookoo clock whenever he speaks.
And finally o ye of all wisdom, I pray that his company and all that is connected to it is found guilty in thine eyes of mass and wanton murder and slaughter and that you will see fit to strike it down with a few well-placed thunder bolts.
Thank you Lord. That is all.
The best these jagoffs can do is make a few 'examples': otherwise they are wide open to being swamped by the likes of you and me.
Maybe there are more of us, but WE won't have immunity from prosecution, which I am certain will obtain when these "jagoffs" return stateside.
Bush's America
white men hiring contract killers with tax dollars= patriots
brown d00ds playing paintball in Virginia= terror suspects
Peacekeepers?!? Peacekeepers?!? Where does he get the balls? Peacekeepers?!?
Someone please explain to me how Blackwater=Peacekeepers? Cuz, I'm not making the connection.
These sick, deeply racist, failed football players DESERVED to be burnt alive and tied to a bridge. No one ever asked what would make the Iraqi citizens react so violently that day when given the opportunity. They are the new klan, hiding behind this criminal government. Just wait until these mothers fuckers come back to the U.S. with nothing to do and no one to murder.
Peacekeepers??????? How Orwellian! Fuck Blackwater, they are hired mercenary thugs. A private militia for hire. If Congress had any brains or balls they would shut them down. If there is a coup, I hope I get to see the expression on Pelosi and Reids' faces when they are escorted by Blackwater Peacekeepers out of the Capitol to "an undisclosed location".
Erik Prince is the worst kind of Extreme Right Wing Christo-Fascist Militaristic Piece of Shit imaginable.
RickinSF @ 57:
Maybe there are more of us, but WE won't have immunity from prosecution, which I am certain will obtain when these "jagoffs" return stateside.
I know, yeah. Then is when we go about creating our own laws, necessity being the mother of invention. Then is when the states begin to either secede and/or take back their power (which is already happening in response to unreasonable fed demands).
It is they who've trashed the constitution and gone rogue, not us. It behooves us to reinstate our founding principles even if it takes a few decades.
I had to laugh when I read that section from Blackwater. They make themselves sound like they are Santa or Jesus Christ walking around Iraq. Blackwater is not there to bring comfort and joy. They are mercenaries and are there for the money pure and simple.
#62: Exactly right. I can see a devils pact between Blackwater and our military midgets.
Nohobear @ 62:
Gee, I thought Pelosi and Reid ALREADY shut down the legislature.
wow! Shooting Iraqi civilians = peace keeping. Well, I guess I have been wrong about the meaning of peace. I thought it was all love and joy, but silly me. We must destroy the peace to save the peace...in some twisted logic that confuses me...
Blackwater=SS
This religious nut is clearly going to HELL......
death, violence, money, guns and greed.... a nice mix, which will surely put you in god's good graces...
Stupid question: Why is it that a private army in Afghanistan is considered a terrorist organization, but one led by an American "born again" "Christian" is not? Hmmm.
This American Peace and Stability Corporation is peopled with foreign nationals hired underneath the nose of their own governments...go USA!
ucsbclassics53 @ 68:
Melanie Morgan will tell you we're winning the pieces.
180.000 Black Water men in Iraq? I wish that piece of information to be wrong because I refuse to believe it.
In 1932, Ernst Roehm's SA commanded 170.000 men. Definately, not a pretty.
I wonder how giving Blackwater would be if they were not getting paid for their endeavors around the globe. Its one thing to be drafted and still remain above the level of discontent and hae that accompanies every war but completely different when one is getting tens of thousands of dollard in enlistment fees or hundreds of thousands of dollars as paid mercenaries.
*picture!
ticktock @ 20:
Ahh, one of the many strategies they like to use.
FOX is probably just dying for some type of tabloid filth to bobmard the
airwaves with, you know, to divert our short attention spans.
You folks don't seem to understand that murdering Iraqi civilians is a part of our new Iraq war strategy. The more Iraq citizens we eliminate, the less violence there will be, which will reduce the anti-war sentiment which is growing in the US, and around the world, and is anathema to the Bush administration.
The less Iraq citizens there are, the fewer targets there will be for the US Army, the Sectarian Insurgents, and the Foreign Terrorists, So as Blackwater kills the populace, reducing the available targets, should they inadvertently knock off a US soldier, a sectarian insurgent, of a foreign terrorist who is not a US soldier, it will be even better, because in addition to fewer targets, there will be fewer shooters.
So Blackwater really is working in the cause of peace, reduced violence, an end to the Iraq war, in short, doing 'God's' work, as is this administration.
So let me join the Iraqi people, and friends of peace throughout the world, in offering a Christmas prayer for Bush and Prince,
'Oh Mighty Lord, watch over them, do not let them stumble, ease their path, as they set off tonight on their well deserved journey to the netherworld, Amen, Hallelujah!'
What are the chances that this truly evil and sick man (Eric Prince) will go to jail? Now that would be a nice Christmas present.
Dr. Rick Lippin
http://medicalcrises.blogspot.com
Giving? More like taking, $200K per hired murderer.
As a general rule I respect mercenaries (the Iraq war is a clusterfuck not of their making), but let's not pretend they do it for any reason other than money and cheap thrills.
ticktock @ 20:
We spent years debating the merits of change in Iraqi policy. The Petraeus report came out in Sep., and since then... what? Four months of nothing!
Why, they're doin' a heckuva job...things were startin' to get calm afore we sent 'em in. We couldn't have any of that! We had to keep them Iraqis in line.
Meanwhile....KBR/Halliburton employees are raping their own so they don't have to rape them in America! Spit.
Killing for Christ. Heehaw, it's a heck of a lot of fun. Woohoo!
Quit complaining and start taking some gun safety classes. Don't end up a sheep.
Blackwater "selflessly" took a billion dollars from the government. Now, they will get billions more to be "selfless" in the war on drugs.
So Prince is "born again". Someone should ask him "WWJM" (Who Would Jesus Murder)
Merry Christmas from the rent-a-killers at Blackwater.
The Prince of Darkness sends a Christmas card -- hope he gags on a bite of fruitcake and goes bye-bye.
Blackwater's Christmas Card sounds like one of the Hitler Speeches. "Sacrifice, for the motherland!"
I wonder how this mercenary would react if an Iraqi private security company came over here and sprayed Christian civilians on their way home from church with bullets?
"Peace Keepers"? I guess a murdered person is peaceful.
Are we going to start calling burglars "property upkeep worry alleviators", or con-men "open-priced monetary gain fantasy enablers"?
You mean these jack asses actually have supporters? These are some nevi ass bastards. They are just washing our faces in this hell they have brought to this country and they know they have coverage from the white house, congress and senate whom all continue to fund them.
It makes you just want to vomit.
F$^&ing help us.
"HEARTfelt" and Blackwater don't belong in the same sentence together.
*
"GIVING" innocent Iraqis a chance to get together with Allah well before their time Eric?
Speaking of Blackwater and maybe other similar groups, I thought that the only people allowed to carry true automatic weapons within the U.S. were active duty (real) military and perhaps some selected law enforcement officers. Can anyone shed some light on that?
Wasn't Blackwater carrying fully automatic weapons in New Orleans?
In New Orleans, I suspect they were deputized.
As many are bound to be when they're repatriated.
Say hello to the future of US law enforcement.
"Giving in ways most do not understand" -
Well, yes. Because most recognize that Peace is the absence of war & conflict, and this outfit is meaningless without it.
jim @ 97:
My cousin is married to a woman who's ex is a Blackwater merc. He was a cop before he was hired by BW, one of those cops, who thinks he is above the law, uses excessive force every chance he gets. You know, an asshole cop. These are the types who seek employment with BW..."feeling too restrained by "LAWS" and codes of conduct? Join BW today, where you can shoot civilians indiscriminately and get away with it!! Blackwater...where our motto is.. Hey, we got immunity!"
rmb @ 15:
I know I'm late on the draw here but:
Blackwater is not a militia. They are a private mercinary contractor. A militia is ordinary citizens who live normal lives but are prepared to take up arms and act in case of an emergency.
Blackwater is none of those things. To call them militia is to give them credit they don't deserve.
I would also like to add:
The militia would be the one's fighting Blackwater at home if our government went crazy on us. Todays "unorganized militia" (which is an actual part of the militia law) are the ones Blackwater was taking guns away from in New Orleans.
That's why I take such exception to that term used on Mercenaries.
This all applies to American definition of Miltia, not the ones in other countries, by the way. The term has several definitions depending on where it is being used.
Plisko @ 100:
I agree! These bloodthirsty mercs have no honor.
Methinks militias will be popping up all over the country if things continue to deteriorate in this country.
