Wow, thats pretty definitive. I wonder if they'll do something with it.

Wait, i don't.

Wow, that's pretty definitive, I wonder if they'll do anything with those stats.

Oh, wait... I don't.

Who in the hell is the 6%? The White House employees?

These polls are nothing but manipulation tactics by the so-called "liberal media". They trot these polls out to try to sway voters. I hope it doesn't work this time.

Media: Do. Your. Job.

I think it should be:

Government: Break. Up. The. Corporate. Media. Monopoly.

Listen to your own poll Dobbs!.

www.mediamatters.org seems like a legitimate organization working to reform the media so that it represents American interests instead of corporate interests and provides a place where we can band together and speak with one stronger voice. Who knows if it'll work, but I'm not ready to give up yet.

Gee I wonder if FUX NEWS will have problems interpreting that poll. You know those are so hard to read. LOL!

The 6% were Mitt Romney's family. They prefer the media talk about Mitt's hair 'cause that's all he's got.

What is the point of it anyway? It's not as if it will trigger any change.

It's nice they asked! But we know they do not mean it.

Wow. How uninsightful. When you ask people a question with an obvious slant and answer like that, of course you are going to get a response like that. However, as every pollster knows from day 1 of polling school is that people often say different things.

I think at this point the correct response is to:

1. cue the simpsons clip where the evil executive woman focus groups the kids about their wishes for the new 'poochie' character.

2. bash crooksandliars.com for pushing such an empty piece of nothing and apparently completely lacking the intellectual ability to deconstruct it.

i mean really.

Q: How can you make a Republican slow down?
A: Put a sheet of paper in front of him.

Q#2: How can you make that Republican stop?
A: Put words on it!

Q: Why do people put Republican stickers on their car?
A: So they can park in the handicapped spot.
Q: What does a Republican use for contraception?
A: His personality!
Q: What is the difference between a Republican and a vacuum cleaner?
A: You have to plug one of them in before it sucks.
Q: If a dollar bill was laying in the center of a room, and the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, a Republican with with intelligence, and a stupid Republican were standing in the corners, who would get the money?
A: The stupid Republican since the other three don't exist.

A son tells his mother, "Mom, when I grow up, I want to be a Republican."
His mother scoffs and replies...

"Well, you can't do both."
Q: What should you call a Republican?
A: It doesn't matter. They won't listen anyway.
Q: What would you call the smartest Republican in the world?
A: Mildly retarded.

Q: What do you call 10 Republicans sitting in a circle?
A: A dope ring.
Q: What is the difference between a Republican and a savings bond?
A: One will mature and make money.
Q: What do you call a Republican with half a brain?
A: Gifted.
Q: What did the Republican get on his IQ test?
A: Drool.

Whaddaya bet the MSM says this poll has a 'margin of error of 94%?

Three days after Hillary Clinton's stunning comeback victory in New Hampshire, the imbroglio over the pollsters' dismal performance continues unabated. But while the speculation centers on the potential impact of latent racism or a feminist backlash among New Hampshire Democrats, the exit polls suggest a more simple explanation. In a nutshell, Hillary's voters originally made up their minds a long time ago, and on Election Day, they came home.

For the details, see:
"New Hampshire Explained: Hillary's Voters Came Home."

id like them to report this fun fact a little more. oh the fix,, it is always the funnest part.

Ten googillion.

The media nearly vilified Gore in 2004 and undercut his power and intelligence by focusing on irrelevant minutiae (like his weight, appearance and style, his delivery and intonation-who could forget the endless 'lock box' jokes and related coverage, and not just SNL parodies but on Page 1). Substance was ignored in favor of style, and the end result was an ill prepared President, leading an ill conceived war. This week, Hillary said in her NH 'thank you' speech that "This campaign is about people." I certainly hope not; it's about Issues. Among them, Homeland Security and Domestic Preparedness, which we've heard virtually nothing about from the candidates. A media (corporate or independent) that doesn't report with integrity on the issues that will prevent our nation from reaching its greatest potential and prosperity must assume partial blame for putting another incompetent president in the White House if it comes to this. For the sake of our Nation, let's hope not.

Hate to dampen this party, but Lou Dobbs polls have to be *the* most unscientific, meaningless, subjective waste of media air time. They set a low standard, even for CNN. The questions are loaded with emotion to entice viewers with nothing better to do to rant about their favorite hot button topic.

Don't take this remark to be a defense of mainstream media.

Why do you think they were so far off in NH..Instead of asking the people who would vote all they did was watch the jumping thumping bunch supporting Obama and said HE'S GONNA WIN....\

I think it makes Americans so damn angry that they don't push the candidates on the issues. I have yet to see one article, one interview nothing from Obama telling what he would do if he should become president. That doesn't say he wouldn't have good ideas, but what in the devil are they. He's not been asked why he said he would bomb Iran, although Edwards and Hillary have been panned over and over because they voted for that resolution.

He hasn't been asked why he says Ted Kennedy one of the most respected senators who has really done a lot from this country should quit.

He hasn't been asked why he misses crucial and very important votes in the senate. I can not understand why they give this guy a pass are they afraid of being called racist.
The way Jesse Jackson Jr screamed and raved on TV that the reason people didn't vote for him in NH is because he was black. What in the devil do you think will heat up when he isn't voted for in the south.

Where would we be without websites like this tracking "the media""?

Nope, won't/doesn't work...been checking out MediaMatters for over two years and
have not seen any improvement in the MSM, in fact, it has gotten worse.

The result of this poll?

All the individual members of the media will start talking about how "the media" needs to do a better job focusing on the issues when it comes to presidential candidates rather than the fluff or real or perceived feuds 'twixt them. But none of them will ever say "Hey, WE'RE a part of the media, TOO! That means WE need to do better, too!" And within 3 days, it'll be back to "Hillary's Vagina: How Much Damage Will It Do?" and "Barack Obama: HOW Muslim Is He?" And "John Edwards: The Invisible Boogey Man Who Lives Under Your Bed And Isn't Real So We Don't Even Know Why He's On The Ballot, Really."

In other words, nothing will change. At all.

I just learned the term "Bradley effect," and I think this is the same phenomenon to an even greater degree. The only statistic that counts is people's actual viewing habits -- their votes, if you will -- and not how they answer some poll.

Surprised Lou didn't blame Mexicans for the fiasco in New Hampshire.

someone should ask lou if the 246-point drop in the market is the fault of illegals.

Also tired of hearing media tell us who IS and Isn't "ELECTABLE".
The Media News (news?) has an UNFAIR advantage over it's viewer in voicing their OPINIONS. They can influence the outcome of an election, by the actions they do or omit.

Their job is to report facts. When your reporting is false, YOUR so called facts, come under heavy public scrutiny. When that happens, then the public begins to loose confidence in your reporting and your credibility is diminished.

Voters should determine who is electable for themselves. They have a mind. Let them think about it. Lack of exercise of the mind equals a weak, retarded capacity to think things through.

This is quite comical coming form Lou Dobbs, Mr. Anti-immigration.

case in point: dennis kucinich

had our corporate overlords not feared his candidacy, it is likely that his coverage wouldn't have been so negative and mocking. and the fact that when polled on issues alone his positions jibe more with the american people than most, if not all, of the candidates.

Are you sick of the media reporting on Brittany in terms of her chrisma, appearance, etc. instead of the issues?

The media of people's emotions in prematurely calling off election challenges is a MUST CHANGE issue as well.

Until A LOT MORE people start demanding legal elections, a lot more fascism is coming our way.

The media and the RNC are busily turning us into gamblers.

Hey, you saw the roll, nevermind that the dice are fixed, you saw the roll! So pay up, shut up, and go away...

People on liberal blogs are attacking Kucinich for calling for a recount (which I think he has to file by today!), because he's a loser, a sour grapes loser, a cheap loser who doesn't deserve to interfere with the emotional gratifications of (enslavement) closure.

And who would want to interfere with the media's story that it was all about tears? Liberals are SO SAD. :-(

This is really starting to get a "hall of mirrors" effect to it. The media reporting on the media, holding up the mirror to the other guys and trying to claim that they're better than the other guys...

The media treats Presidential election candidates like they are on American Idol. Frankly, I'm tired of it so I don't watch the mainstream media. I am not looking for a candidate that can entertain me. Nor do I care if he/she is great to have a beer with. I look at the candidate's positions on a issue and then I pick that position apart. In other words, I am looking for someone that has fairly reasonable ideas on an issue and that can lead. I'm glad that other people feel the same way as I do.

Wow, Lou's viewership increased upward from 11 the day before.

Here's another motherfucking case in point:

"NBC un-plugs Kucinich from Presidential debate: Re-writes criteria to exclude candidate with ’dissenting’ positions"

"Less than 44 hours after NBC sent a congratulatory note and an invitation to Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich to participate in the Jan. 15 Democratic Presidential debate in Las Vegas, the network notified the campaign this morning it was changing it announced criteria, rescinding its invitation, and excluding Kucinich from the debate."

It's an online poll. It's no more scientific than all of the online polls that say Ron Paul would be the best president this country has ever seen. Should the media report more on the issues? Really? A Lou Dobbs' poll? That's like asking a bunch of chimps to either pick up a banana or touch the electric shock buzzer. Tomorrow's poll will probably be "Do you love America?" Vote Yes or No. Next week: "Do you, a Lou Dobbs viewer, believe that immigration is an important issue?" To sum up... I'd believe Karl Rove before I believed a Lou Dobbs' poll. This is a stupid poll with an obvious outcome.

"Let's talk about real life". That's what my old college perfesser used to say whenever somebody said something off topic or crazy. Perhaps the MSM IS doing it's job which, in a reality we can only catch a glimpse of, is to shepard the Chosen One into the White House. What do Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul have in common? They're whack jobs! sayeth MSM. And is it a coincidence that the most seasoned and "presidential" of the Dem candidates (Biden/Dodd/Richardson) can't garner support in the Britney Spears/OJ universe? Yesterday, Kerry turns on the marginalized, populist , and next target John Edwards. Today Larry "Lieberman WILL drop out" O'Donnell follows up and calls Edwards a "Loser". And what about that 40% of ALL DELEGATES, known as Super-Delegates and numbering 842 convention votes, who will come out of the woodwork after the MSM created Clinton/Obama tennis match has been served up to the sheeple. Democracy, the peeps, get 60%, and when they stray from the script, the Super-Delegates will make everything right. My first impression of Barack and Hillary, lo those many months ago, was that neither one was electable. For the sake of the future Supreme Court, and in opposition of ABSOLUTE TYRANNY, I hope I'm wrong. See you at Gitmo!

Here's an 'online poll' that REALLY looks suspicious:

Optical Scan (NH)
Clinton 91,717 52.9507%
Obama 81,495 47.0493%
Total 173,212

Hand Counted (NH)
Clinton 20,889 47.0494%
Obama 23,509 52.9506%
Total 44,398

Huh, that's quite a coincidence, don't you think?

There is a manual recount in NH coming so sit back guys because the next days will be fun. Kucinich already requested it and Paul will probably follow suit.

So as much as the media want to portray Obama as unelectable, beatable and vulnerable because of the NH fraud, they will ultimately fail.

What a coincident that today we had "Tiger Woods" racial comment controversy, OJ is going back to jail and so is Marion Jones, "race and crime" is simply pouring from the MSM screens on this Friday afternoon.

Maybe the people when they closed the curtain simply put on the hoods, took out the knives, tasers and pistols, and finally safe from the outside pressure that screamed : "You must vote for Obama." "You must vote for Obama" slowly began to pass the finger down the ballot in search for the soothing name that would finally end their nightmare that the media brought upon them. Check. Vuala!! And silently told themselves, "Thank you Hillary for freeing me from the pollsters, thank you for saving my soul, I lied to them, I said Obama, yes, that's right, I said Obama, but I did it only because I'm so weak, I'm so weak, and I'm so shy, I can't be honest with a man full of papers filled with names and statistics asking me a simply question, no, no, no, it was my weakness.

Yeah right. And the media is so f******g strong, right? What an outrageous argument!! People voted for Obama, because it was the right thing to do, every single of them, every single of the majority as shown by the scientific polls that always work and worked for the Republics. Inner searching in the voting booths? Geez. Dennis, better get this circus rolling in the right direction. There are 48 states to go.

Voila is spelled Voila.

People voting for Obama because it's the right thing to do?

That's not generally the reason why most people vote for a candidate.

I agree. Don't know how these dolts come to the realization that they are newscasters and journalists. They are not. They do however, want to make everything about themselves and they stupidly think their shrinking numbers don't reflect that. It's all about infotainment, not news. It is so ridiculous, yet they just can't get it.

If you really are curious on what specifics Barack Obama has in mind for his administration, have you tried going to his website www.barackobama.com? He gets very specific about his plans for the future.

I think that instead of waiting for the mainstream media to spoon feed us the information that we seek on a candidate, maybe we should show a little bit of initiative and do some research on our own. The media really only cares about ratings, and reporting on Obama's plan to end corporate tax shelters obviously isn't gonna bring in viewers like a story on Hillary's fashion upgrades.

Also if you're wondering why Obama never addresses specific policy issues in his soaring speeches, can you really picture him firing up a crowd with a speech about expanding the earned income tax credit? It would really drag down his message on hope and unity.

Today's poll questions: Are you tired of Lou Dobbs running the same stock footage of illegal aliens?

Well, an online Lou Dobbs poll always makes for good filler on a slow news day. The media is still catching its breath over Hillary getting emotional, it was a landmark moment in American political history, on part with the moon landing and VE and VJ day. Once they regain their composure they can start another media feeding freenzy on Obama's church, Edwards haircut or Hillary's fashion sense.

Well, yes, but put it to a vote on an electronic machine and see just how far yer poll gets you.

Someone should start a campaign to publically hang one member of the national media every year....I believe one can argue that the poor and shoddy work they do could be grounds for a criminal complaint of treason against the United States. I cite the horrendous job they have done in Iraq for starters...or how about going along with shithead bush about wmd?

My first candidate would be that ass crack bill kristol....

No. 21 The Smiths Go To Washington says:

No. 21, are these folks appointed by Clinton administration? How can OBL have nuclear info when he was living in a cave?

Is that why the republicans do not trust the Clinton admin.?

What about 9/11?

The only way to change the way media control pushes the agenda is to boycott the products that advertisers buy air time to promote. If their sales show marked declines in areas where there was traditionally heavy ad saturation and correlating sales peaks, then they would make a move to jump out. But until then, there is no incentive on behalf of either the media gurus or the ad execs.

Just like everything else, our citizens can't unite to do anything. And so it just remains the same and we then get the hundreds of thousands of us on these type of forums that can vent online.

Think 65% of our country can stop buying McDonalds for one week? Burger King? Coca Cola? Visine? Kibbles & Bits?

Um, well.. Hate to say it, but that's a pretty worthless bit of polling that. (of course, since it's an online poll, that means it's actually meaningless to begin with..)

But that's a pretty dang argumentative and loaded poll question that. I mean, if you asked a non-loaded question (e.g. 'Are you satisfied with the media's coverage of the primaries?') I don't think the result would be anything like that.

That said, in my opinion there's two kinds of people: Those highly critical of the media, and those who should be. Unfortunately, the former group is smaller than this poll would indicate.

My rant on the topic is here, cleverly disguised as a piece on John Edwards.

"Less than 44 hours after NBC sent a congratulatory note and an invitation to Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich to participate in the Jan. 15 Democratic Presidential debate in Las Vegas, the network notified the campaign this morning it was changing it announced criteria, rescinding its invitation, and excluding Kucinich from the debate."

http://www.dennis4president.com/go/homepage-items/nbc-un%11plugs-kucinic...

Our democracy is dead—FUCKING DEAD! This is the equivalent to assasination. God Damn those fuckers at NBC AND THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE. Both are complicit in this. BOTH have conspired to silence Dennis Kucinich. Fuck you NBC! Fuck you DNC!

Fascist America has truly arrived...

Dennis Kucinich should forward with his platform as a genuine Democratic and run instead as an INDEPENDENT if corporate and media oppositions succeed in preventing him from getting the nomination by using their dirty tricks and fraudulent actions.

WE NEED TO HELP HIM GET through this. HE IS OUR ONLY GENUINE VOICE forour people.
The almighty boob tube is waging a war on DEMOCRACY and those that genuinely stand for it.

ITS TIME FOR PEOPLE to start cracking the whip and put them at their place. Without the people like you and me; the consumer of the product they push....they would not have the POWER that we have granted them. The crap that is destroying our DEMOCRACY; the trash that pollutes the mind of our children; the advertisement that tells us what to do ; what to buy; and that if we don't buy their crap; WE are less of a human-being that does not come to their manufactured standard of what they consider humane and civil........IS a total manipulation, propaganda all a scheme to buy their product. This time the product they are selling is a person (that will be an agent for CHANGE?) Change to what? A candidate that will finally deliver the ultimate CHANGE to FACISM? HELL NO!

ANY true AMERICAN patriot working for these UN-PATRIOTIC Media Conglamorate should excercise a walk-out in PROTEST and to demonstrate that you will not be a part of an establishment that go against the principles of our DEMOCRACY.

If every AMERICAN demonstrate unity and defend by participating in a WALK-OUT.........NBC will cease it's OPERATION. For ...without the AMERICAN workers... there will be NO .....NBC.................

Take a look at the WRITERS GUILD..........look what the POWER of UNITY can do......It sends a message.......without them....entertainment industry...is NOTHING.

That is just ONE fraction of our SOCIETY.

IMMAGINE WHAT WE (collectively) as a whole.......as AMERICANS (undistinguished by political party) can manage to do when WE reclaim our DEMOCRACY. WE are the UNITED STATES of AMERICA......the citizens of this GREAT NATION. WE are NOT SLAVES....WE ARE FREE PEOPLE and should ACT like one. WE are the EMPLOYER AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS of our OWN government. AND our PUBLIC servants are betraying our TRUST and not exercising their DUTY to hold those accountable for the VIOLATIONS OF PUBLIC INTEREST.

FCC are a public entity that should take it responsibility when MEDIA and Corporation defy our principles of DEMOCRATIC processes.........instead they and our government are catering to them and giving them a free pass to manipulate public opinions for their own corporate INTEREST....deciding who should and should not be included in a Presidential debate. Denying us that moral obligation to present the candidates and allow the public to decide for themselves WHO should be their next PRESIDENT and allowing them the common means to deliver their message........instead denying them that opportunity because it does not meet their standards (criteria)...which means MONEY is totally UN-AMERICAN and UN-PATRIOTIC.

IT is a blatant act of EXCULSIVE versus inclusivity that AMERICA is accustom to. IT is discriminatory act without CALLING it for what it really is "Discrimination". Shame on YOU...SHAME on what you are doing to our DEMOCRACY. Shame on what you are doing to our NATION and our Genuinely GOOD PEOPLE for the hell of MONEY.

If MONEY is what drives these SHAMELESS CORPORATION........then AMERICAN should take it to challenge where it will HURT them the MOST. When they destroy our LIFE and LIBERTY them WE CAN SHOW THEM WHERE IT HURTS................and the ONLY WAY they will understand the PAIN they have PUT us through..........IS.........MONEY.

Withhold from spending. Turn off every NEWS on TV.

Let GO to the system that made it possible for forclosure of your home to occur. Stop buying a new car until it is so old and run down. Turn a blind eye to the crimes you see in the malls just like the Congress turns a blind-eye on the abuses of our lawless President.

When there is a distinguishable elements that separate the haves and the have nots....the crime will be the inevitable curse of the GREEDY victims.

If you are among the sleeping beauties in a world of DISNEY, you will wake up to a nightmare that you wish you never woke up to...........and it is happening NOW and it has been increasingly happening clearly in the past since the NIXON WATERGATE. AND the last of that group is still NOT finished. They must be STOPPED before it is too late.

Lous Dobbs is a bad person. He hates all the peoples who are poor and try to make a living for being lillegal. We only want more lives for our childrens and to stop the racisms. We work hard to clean the pools and cuts the lawns. We like the peace and go with the army to make the USA safe from the iraqs. Why not love us Mr dobbs?

And all they are going to do is SLANT the coverage of the issues in favor of the candidates they support (Clinton, Obama, McCain and against the ones they hate Edwards).

If anyone's not doing their jobs, it's the fat a$$ American voter who sits on his behind waiting for the television set to tell him what to think about everything, instead of doing his own research on the candidates' positions.

Dear Mainstream Media,

We don't want your FUCKING OPINIONS.

We want the GODDAMN FACTS.

Sincerely,

Not a Sheep

Come on AMERICA excercise your "CIVIL RIGHTS"... muscles .....like you never have been ;.........BEFORE.... 24hour fitness gym ever came into existence.

Express Your SELF. Don't let the boob tude turn you into a couch potato......WE HAVE ENOUGH.....FAT CATS in our government and corporations.....that is making you LIKE them.

But this time they are helping themselves to everything you have left that is YOURS while you fall asleep and unaware.

Excercise YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS....get on your feet and participate in the POLITICAL WORKOUT......before it is too late and the damage becomes IRREVERSIBLE.

Be careful what you wish for: with the media's emphasis on the platforms will come a greater emphasis on shouting opinions as to which platforms are better. So it would be a step in the right direction, but more needs to be done.

You didn't show the follow-up question:

Do you think the national media gives a rat's ass?

Well, they've 'given' us a rat's ass before.

I think he's somewhere in the Holy Land at the moment.
