Where's the outrage over NBC's exclusion of Kucinich from the Nevada Debate? When Fox excluded ron Paul many here called the Repubs chickenshit. Look into the mirror.

I know Keith O and C&L are BFF, but both stand to lose a bunch of credibility as hypocrites if they let this one slide.

We can't afford as a people to have any more voices silenced, especially those asking the tough questions.

I already emailed a complaint to MSNBC, does anyone have a direct address for Kieth O @ countdown?

Churches that endorse a candidate should have to pay taxes. The money going from taxpayers to churches is a travesty. Franklin Grahm (exc. sp.)got millions to go to Africa and preach abstinance. He wouldn't even bury his mother in the mountains of N.C. but instead buried her in Charlotte at their museum. ...which is the proud owner of a lit up talking cow. This is supposed to illustrate the way Billy went from cow farm to evangelist. Admission required. So he is even making money with his mother's remains.

I had not known, until being alerted by Crooks and Liars, that there was a web site devoted to keeping NPR honest. About a year ago, NPR basically did a smear job against Lt. Ehren Watada, allowing three voices to be heard criticizing his courageous stand against the Iraq occupation while managing to find no one to speak out in support of what the lieutenant had done. Perhaps NPR should be known as National Pentagon Radio. NPR Check's services will be sorely missed.

Very well said. Olbermann's address is Countdown@msnbc.com. About six months ago, I had written a few mildly critical letters to Olbermann, suggesting that he have some anti-war voices on Countdown. Apparently my criticism struck a nerve, since I was blocked from sending any more emails to Countdown. So much for this quasi liberal icon allowing anti-occupation voices to be seen and heard on his program. This simply reinforces the belief that the best way for progressives to receive their information is to tune in to Free Speech TV and Link TV and especially to Democracy Now! with Amy Goodman.

U.S. corporate elite fear candidate EdwardsReuters Friday January 11 2008
By Kevin Drawbaugh
WASHINGTON, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Ask corporate lobbyists which presidential contender is most feared by their clients and the answer is almost always the same -- Democrat John Edwards.
The former North Carolina senator's chosen profession alone raises the hackles of business people. Before entering politics, he made a fortune as a trial lawyer.
In litigious America, trial lawyers bring lawsuits against companies on behalf of aggrieved individuals and sometimes win multimillion-dollar settlements. Edwards won several.
But beyond his profession, Edwards' tone and language on the campaign trail have increased business antipathy toward him. His stump speeches are peppered with attacks on "corporate greed" and warnings of "the destruction of the middle class."
He accuses lobbyists of "corrupting the government" and says Americans lack universal health care because of "drug companies, insurance companies and their lobbyists."

I like the satirical report.....having said that........AMERICA IS SO F*&^%D!!!!!

A. Alexander, January 10th, 2008
Some thoughts on the candidates:

John McCain: John, you were against campaign finance and ethics reform before you were totally busted trying to influence legislation for the savings and loan industry. But your hypocrisy isn't the issue. I respect my elders and all, but I just don't want to wonder whether my president is wearing Depends or not. Being able to control the potty urge should be, if it isn't already, a major criterion for anyone running for president.

Rudy Giuliani: You are like the 80's hair-band, Motley Crue ... except that they could play three cords and you only play one: 9/11, 9/11, 9/11, 9/11, 9/11! There's a reason people told Motley Crue not to go away mad, but to just go away. Three cord music gets old in a hurry. Now, imagine how fast a one cord campaign becomes stale. That's right Rudy, time to learn a new cord or two. That "noun, a verb, and 9/11" act of yours is just annoying.

Mitt Romney: Okay, your name is Mitt. Do I need to write more ... really?

Mike Huckabee: Hey Huck, we get it ... you're the Jesus candidate. This isn't the Vatican Mikey, we aren't electing the Pope. Besides Jesus, what else ya got for us?

Fred Thompson: Fred, seriously, when the people are debating whether a candidate is even alive or not, it's time to give up the campaign. No, honestly dude -- you're scaring the children.

Senator Clinton: I'd say your name, but I might be accused of being sexist. I'd question your policies, but I might be accused of "obsessing over" you. Really, you think men are "obsessing" over you? Frankly, that you seem to think you are "all that" is kind of creepy in a presidential candidate ... male or female. It's a lot like a guy grabbing his junk and saying, "Yo, babe, you know you want it!" How about you get over your bad self already! Difficult as it might be for you to believe, people who won't vote for you just might not like that you voted for the Iraq War; or they might not like your policies; or they might not like your generally prickly demeanor; or they might not want to endure another eight-long-years of a scandal-ridden Clinton administration; or they are tired of listening to you triangulate on every important issue; or they want the troops out of Iraq before 2013; or they are just tired of the whole Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton circle-jerk; or they don't appreciate the way your campaign is employing racist tactics against Obama; or they lost faith in the Clinton brand after Bill did the whole "depends what the definition of 'is' is" thing; or . ... You get the idea, huh? I mean, there are easily elevendy-billion reasons why people won't support you ... none of them relating to your gender. Honestly, the only people who seem obsessed over your gender are yourself and the people in your campaign.

Barack Obama: Here's a clue Golden Boy - you are playing a contact sport against the nastiest and dirtiest team to ever have played the game ... the Clintons. They make Rove and Bush look like warm and fuzzy people. The Clintons don't play nice and they don't play fair. If you want to be president of the United States, you need to beat them. If you aren't ready to throw punches, stop wasting our time. Otherwise, if you are serious about this, go put on your big-boy face, grow a set and get to work. Because right now, from where I'm sitting, the Junior Senator from New York is beating your butt. Sure, the New York Senator's campaign is winning on pity votes, but they'll win any way they can. And that's no joke.

John Edwards: John, I like you. You are a nice guy. I get it, it's personal. I get, too, that you are from a working class family. I get ALL that ... can you say it without having to scream at me all the time?

Of course. The republicans want to confuse (WE THE PEOPLE) with voter fraud issues when the real issue is election fraud. The republicans have been guilty for many of the recent elections. Most recent is the convictions of 3 in Ohio.

Isn't 'Holy Crap' redundant?

I'm starting a 'Church of Heavenly Devotion to the Holy Pussies Created by Our Lord God Almighty, Hallelujah, Blessed Jaysus'

We're gonna have Hymen Hymns, Clitoral Chorals, Organic Orgasms, Priapic Priests, Labial Lap Races in the pool. There will be daily midnight readings of our Good Book, the Kama Sutra. Complimentary condom dispensers will be affixed to the ends of each pew, and the fonts will be filled with Dom Perignon and Cristal.

And all of this will be tax free! God Bless the US of A!

Conyers does NOT care about Wexler’s Petition to start Cheney impeachment hearings!

Read the transcript from Democracy Now.

View the video of his speech from September.

He will NOT allow impeachment hearings to take place.

Conyers knows that Pelosi will undercut the efforts of impeachment rather than helping to build a bi-partisan coalition to impeach.

Conyers knows that Pelosi will again be Speaker of the House next year and she will take him off the Judiciary Committee if he goes against her wishes. It’s a “lose-lose” for him and impeachment.

Let’s help him and the rest of the members of the House of Representatives by removing an obstructionist Speaker. It can be done and must be done to start the impeachment process.

Love the headline over at Huffingtonpost, "Clintons are politicizing race"... Can someone send them a dictionary with the definition of politican circled?

Next Huffingtonpost headline will read, "Bipedal Clintons insist on walking on two legs. Obama supporters outraged!"

Jane Smiley's piece makes the case quite nicely.

Eroll- thanks for the link.

I just sent the following-

To Mr. Olbermann and the staff at Countdown-

As a big fan of the show, I was very disappointed to find out that (MS)NBC decided ti recind their invitation to A candidate who is inluded on the Democratic ballot for the Nevada primary. The Small d process is only enhanced by the inclusion of ALL voices. Please don't stoop to the level of tatics employed by Fox news that you were only too happy to highlight for the 'hypocracy of democracy' that they were.

Do the right thing, keep fighting the good fight- (real name) gueuzeman, (my city) NY

what chris mathews was really saying was hillary was able to show her toughness to stand up to the republicans and what her husband did.where otherwise would not have seen her toughness as soon as we did and she might have gotton to the senate just not as fast.until the awkwardand unplanned arrival of her embarrassing antics of bill.yes it was unlike conventional means but poeple could see a woman who is not afraid of the establishment. she got here sooner rather than later or it would of been john kerry all over again....see the whole clip of cm's interview nto just sound bites ......

Oliver Willis used to be a good read until he fell into the clutches of something I don't understand at all. He was even handed and appreciative of what it means to be a liberal then suddenly he's all Obama all the time and diss all else. Making one's choice is all well and good but sliming what you believed yesterday for no apparent reason isn't good journalistic sense for this rising young writer. I'm disappointed in him. I thought he was his own man.
