further proof of the overall strategy to elect McCain...
http://theinternetisnotatruck.blogspot.com/

With dems like that, who needs repugs?

Oh they are shameless bastards. Any of their own they want to disinherit, they label a Democrat. How subtle...........

D'uh ok i guess I'l vote for McCain since he's a dem...

Well they label what they do as "News" why is anyone surprised.

Maybe teh Fox Newsies is just nincompooptent?

Fox news did this to Arlen Specter too... and to any other republican who doesn't stay inline.

lol

priceless

how many times have they done this. it's not just laziness.
they have no credibility, yet they have high ratings.
what gives?

I can't figure out their motive, they always have one!

Further proof there is no differnce between the two parties.

They never get tired of doing this stupid shit.

this really is dispicable behaivor.....but since their eating their own......I'll give it a pass.

Does Faux think we are in the run up to 2000 !?

Future FUX News chyrons:

Democrats Rigging Republican Primaries?

False Impression That Bush MUST Leave Office?

Is Now the Time to Invoke Constitution's Dictatorship Clause?

Fox snooze does that when ever they want to distance a repug that embarrasses them.

If any right wing moron who comes on here saying this is nothing but a mistake by Foxvda I have a great bundle of sub-prime mortgages for them to buy!

ok, so obviously this isn't a mistake, and foxnews must really assume that its viewers are stupid......

and how many times has this happened in the past?

Fox is disconnected from reality.

there is so much priceless punditry idiocy on this day about romney being the true conservative
and his looking to 2012.

the jon stewert show has comedy gold.

glenn beck is going on about how this country is in such bad shape and that what we need is
more conservatives to fix it......i swear he would suck romney off if he could.
you've 8 fucking years of conservatives.
not to mention the 12 years of house rule.

get if through your fucking head. conservatives worthless idiots!!!!!!

So, what you're saying is that Fox are a bunch of 'poor loosermen', and will instantly turn in to a network of petulant two-year-olds when they don't get their way? Shocker.

I think this is proof positive that this is done on purpose and it is NEVER an accident.

The real surprise is how quickly they've responded...

Seriously. I read this (your?) article the other day and it gave me pause. Now, FuxYous has been pulling this immature swapping out party affiliation with the Dems for a while now, so why should we believe it's an accident now? I wouldn't put ANYTHING past those people. It's not about honesty with Fox and the GOP, it's about getting their way, no matter what cost.

On the other hand, with all those obnoxious flying graphics, headers and that stupid crawl running all day, I can see how some underpaid, peachfuzz-faced intern can fuck this up on a GOoPer for once. If I think FalseNoise sucks as much as I think it does, then that leaves plenty of room for simple user error.

love it

All part of the strategy. If the independents think McCrazy is a centrist, they'll be more likely to vote for him. When it comes to an election, there is never a split in the Rethug party. They all march in lockstep. The far-right will vote for him anyway. They'd rather McCain over an African American or a woman any day.

oh for gods sake, clowns. pleease get rid of these people...

mudshark @ 13:

this really is dispicable behaivor.....but since their eating their own......I'll give it a pass.

Don't underestimate their manipulation. The purpose of bashing Gone InSane is twofold:

First, it reminds him that he still better acknowledge the wacko wing, lest he think he's completely free from their influence. It'll keep him in line.

Secondly, the FUX folks know that swing voters, independents and even once-loyal Republicans are fed up with what's happened under Republican rule. Diabolical and irrational hatred toward InSane coming from the likes of Coultergeist, HeadRush and Beck, makes them think, "Hey, maybe I can stick with the Republicans if this new guy is in charge."

faux news did this when mark foley was having all of his troubles for his "boy love" of congressional pages. they labeled him a d-florida.

that we as people allow FAUX PROPAGANDA to operate in our country, that we dont gather the torches and farming implements and as an angry mob storm newscorp and burn it to the ground and lynch all of its employees in the streets, is beyond me. ive got torches.....

i've heard they also eat their young!

Subliminal.

More proof that faux is the most incompetent network in cable history.

ok, so obviously this isn’t a mistake, and foxnews must really assume that its viewers are stupid……

well, duh!

it seems like the far right is working overtime to plant the suggestion that mccain is to "middle of the road"

it does seem like the are trying to implant that idea into the mainstream news.
create the meme, let the pundits repeat and repeat.

next thing you know middle america is thinking mccain may be reasonable.

those repugs are clever in being evil, it seems like that the only thing they are good at.
it's a sadist party.

Then again, this could be happening because the "D" and "R" are right next to each other on the keyboard. Even the supposedly brain dead Fox viewers know McCain isn't really D-AZ and would pick up on this immediately.

OK, how about someone putting together a montage of screen shots from all the times that they have done this? Should be a bunch of them out there. I can remember several times from before.

Fast times @ FOX Jr. High! grow up lol

This is great, when these right wing a$$holes eat their own, it can only bode well for the opposition. Let them all drown in their ignorant swill.

In the 19 states holding both Democratic and Republican primaries and caucuses, more than 14 million people voted for Obama or Clinton. More than 8 million people voted for McCain or Romney or Huckabee. Thus, you could say about 73 percent more Democrats turned out than Republicans.

Look at what the real message is. 2 weeks ago, Rush and Ann started saying that McCain is too liberal. Now a bunch of others are jumping on ship. The real message is that they think McCain will take away independant voters away from the democrats. They are trying to soften his image. Karen's (@28) point was interesting too:
They are possibly trying to keep still other sick-of-this-shit-to-the-point-of-embarassment republicans from jumping ship entirely. If they can make these ready-to-bolt voters feel good about voting for any republican (see: the Ron Paul Phenomenon, which, imho, was partly a lot of people too stubborn to admit what a steaming pile the republican party is, so they needed a new R-totin' hero to back), then maybe they can save a few more votes.

All of this adds up to a pretty desperate gambit, but the rethugs are cornered animals right now. If they fought dirty when they had their swagger up, think how nasty and crazed they will get from here on out, with the writing on the wall.

Well, sure. They know who signs their paychecks. Progressives/liberals/Dems wouldn't be able to play this kind of gambit even if they wanted to; they just don't have the media attack machine in place.

Please, please fox news. Go right ahead and shatter the last splinters of the GOP. Be my guest. That "tech glitch" is irrelevant to Dems because come election day, you won't find McCain on the Dem ticket. You can't separate yourselves from this one.

McCain is un-electable. Huckabee is no longer viable. The base is split down the middle, and a good number of them are likely to vote Dem. 8 million republican ballots cast on super Tuesday compared to 15 million Democrat ballots.

Those of you trying to understand Fox News and r'pug pundits, ask yourself what you would do if the world you constructed was collapsing.

hannity lmbaugh are already hedging. never underestimate the "principled" conservative's capacity for denial and hypocrisy and none is better at enabling denial and hypocrisy than limbaugh and the talk radio monopoly. by election time all will be on board.

As with many "Democrats" in the House and Senate, that label bestows an honor John McCain has failed to earn.

Ron @ 55:

No, it is quite clear he got that message from his advisors, to protect a 2012 bid.

Paranoia can believe anything. By attacking McCain, they may be sparing some votes for the fool from Independents (many of whom are disenchanted Republicans anyhow), and from super-moderate R -- but just as likely they are flapping around trying to recover any credibility after Raping the Treasury and costing their base their membership in the Middle Class.

Thinktanks are 'smart.' Limbaugh? He doesn't have us to run against any more, now he has to attack someone on their side, because no one on that side is walking away clean, and that includes Boy Wonder and his cronies.

POLL: Time For Us To Label Fox?
by Cenk Uygur
Tue Jul 24, 2007 at 07:24:15 PM PDT
Fox calls itself a "news" channel. They labels themselves "fair and balanced."
But tonight, as CrooksandLiars.com shows, Fox continued to smear Daily Kos without shame, calling it a hate site akin to David Duke. After the 2006 elections, Fox reported without an iota of proof that terrorists were cheering for the Democrats. And we all know that Fox reported Barack Obama was schooled in a madrassa. The examples of propaganda go on and on to the point that it becomes maddeningly obvious that the labels Fox gives itself don’t fit.
• Cenk Uygur's diary :: ::

Simply put, Fox is a Republican mouthpiece masquerading as fair and balanced news outlet. Even their so-called news anchors and reporters are thoroughly opinionated, slanted, and biased.
I will defend Fox’s right to exist to my dying breath. As much as I loathe their programming, I think it is important for a democracy to respect the freedom of speech and encourage different voices. But a little truth in advertising is also essential.
We label our food products, so you know what you’re eating. We label our movies, so you have a sense of their content. Even the Word Wrestling Federation, after many years of pretending the fights were real, finally succumbed to reality and changed their name to World Wrestling Entertainment (a little lawsuit from the World Wildlife Foundation also helped to nudge them in that direction).
We must also honestly label television and radio programming so the public is not misled. The labels Fox gives itself intentionally deceive--so much that some in the news industry and political world still treat Fox as if they are a real news operation with actual journalists.
So enough is enough. If Fox won’t label themselves honestly, it’s time for progressives to start doing it for them. Below is a poll asking whether you think institutions like Yearly Kos, the Democratic National Convention, and Democratic presidential campaigns should fire a shot across the bow by making Fox walk around with "opinion media" credentials instead of the standard "media" credentials given to other media outlets.
There are a lot of other things we can do as well. Continuing to ensure Fox gets no Democratic debates, fact checking them, and holding them accountable for their lies. But as an opening salvo, we can give Fox a choice: If you want to attend Democratic or progressive events, you will do so as "opinion media." Short and sweet.
There’s nothing wrong with opinion media. I work for Air America and we are opinion media. Unlike Fox, we don’t pretend our anchors and hosts are newsmen with no opinion. We never try to deceive the audience into thinking they are receiving neutral news when we are giving our opinion. There is truth in advertising. If we call Fox "opinion media," everyone will be clear on the network’s actual role.
I believe an excellent place to start this process is the Yearly Kos convention. If one convention passes out badges labeling Fox as "opinion media" as opposed to news media, it will encourage others to take this logical step. Eventually, the Democratic presidential campaigns and the Democratic convention in 2008 will follow suit. If Fox resists, they will just bring attention to our point about who they are.
What do you think: Should we label Fox "opinion media"? Tell your opinion below.
The Young Turks

It feels fishy because when you're expecting the enemy to come over the hill for seven years, it makes you nuts. And then we're like the Japanese soldier on that island who hunkered down for a decade after the mighty Japanese fleet was at the bottom of the sea.

Bushco fell apart in 2003. Mission Accomplished was all she wrote. Establishing the airbases was the main task, along with bankrupting the country. They TRIED to install a surveillance state -- and failed -- and they TRIED to install a police state -- and really failed. But those were pipedreams anyhow.

Stomp them into the dirt. 2009 Attorney General John Edwards has a LOT of work to do.

It is theoretically possible to sue networks for falsehoods like this, but it is very, very difficult to win such suits.

No doubt. Their entire strategy now is He's White, and he's a Male.

Nevermind the redhots in the party, vote for our white male.

It's catchy, but the polls just showed you -- and them -- that it isn't going to work.

Too funny. They did it again. How many times now? Faux News it is.

Fox is just being Fair and Balanced in their ineptitude.

McCain is also a TIRED old white man.

He is going to have to suspend campaigning for at least a month, to rest.

Or, he could campaign until he croaks, and then Mitt can come back for the penant race, dressed in crepe and talking in somber Mormonic tones about the Tragic Passing of this New Reagan.

Is anybody still surprised at the antics on that station? My question is why Shillary feels so comfortable over there. I wouldn't and don't give them the time of day.

A "major" news organization that repeatedly can't remember the political affiliations of those who are at odds with the base? Hmmmm. I mean, theyve never tacked a D on to Orrin Hatch or Rick Santorum.

Except that it is run by a gaggle of eternally PMSed wenches.

I can vouch for that, I've quit visiting that site because of the caustic atmosphere there.

By caustic atmosphere do you mean Trolls?

That and their nazi-like fem-mods. Those Nazi-wenches threatened to ban me because I used "reich-wing". I am not exaggerating what-so-ever.

Hahaha.....well don't know about that, I've never actually posted anything, but they seem to be in quite a little spat the last while. Something about trollphobia or some darn thing. Not sure. You posted there?

I use to post there for years, but, as noted above, was told I was not welcomed because I wouldn't stop using "reich-wing".

Absolutely. It's not one the most harmonious sites. It is useful for some informative blog posts about Faux but that's all I can recommend it for.

Eh. No surprise here.

The Champ is out.

I think people need to look at this as a bit more significant than Republicans not liking something about McCain. How much more Liberal is McCain than Hillary? Even though she is too Republican for me -- she's more Liberal than McCain, so what gives?

My guess is, that Hillary had a lot to talk about with Rupert Murdoch, and the shills like Rush Limbaugh know that investigations cannot go forth -- and that the economy is going to tank. Hillary may have done a deal to do nothing that will make the Democrats look effective.

I hope I'm wrong, but with the mysterious disappearance of Kucinich and Edwards from the race -- who had plenty of cash, and who the media chose to ignore because they weren't "serious candidates" and they weren't serious candidates, because the media ignored them (self-fulfillment 101). I just feel like the NeoCons cannot afford investigations, and the caging going on in California and New York, were done to swing the vote to Hillary. There were a lot of cross-over Independents and Republicans who voted for Obama, and if they didn't check a little Rovian "gotcha" box that made no sense at all, their votes aren't counted.

Fair and balanced doesn't imply accurate or truthful.

Sounds a "tad" P.C.
Fanatics of all political stripes share the same acute lack of humor and total inflexibility.

I love it the Mainstream Media did not have the chance to spin the shit out Michigan and Florida in the Democratic vote so now they are furious.

America the basic fundemental rules in the Democratic primaries states that they can throw out all election numbers and broker the delegates. Which would blow all the spinning time the media has made so far. Only those who read the rules understand that.

I read a comment saying that if the Democrats select by brokering that they, that one person, will never vote again. The electorate should read the rules because the Media is not going to help you understand Whats going on. They want to convince you who to vote for. Actually control the election.

These Journalist should zip it. Especially Chris Hardball and the political fix. Here Chris Matthews has Andrea Mitchell wife of Allen Greenspan spinning the shit of politics, all privy to high level insider classified federal reserve stuff, world bank stuff, international monetary stuff, and the American treasury, and , please if you believe Andrea Mitchell is unbiased and not well connected to the richest people in the world your brains are a box of rocks.

Chris Matthews and Andrea have been screwing America while Andrea has been screwing Allen Greenspan. Isn’t it curious after Greenspan dumps the leadership roll in the federal reserve all of a sudden America has the worlds greatest banking scam. Sheesh. Get with it America.

further proof of the overall strategy to elect McCain...
http://theinternetisnotatruck.blogspot.com/

I have been saying the same thing, all day and been ridiculed for it.

we're on the same page Ron.......no...you're not crazy.
And you're not alone either.
Some people are refusing to get it yet.

And watch out when they put Huck on the ticket to bring out the evangelical right.

The adults acting like high school kids have taken the asylum - I mean Fox "news".

Once again, FOX News demonstrates exactly how fucking stupid they think their viewers are.

That's right, FOX fans, FOX thinks you are stupid. And they have a point.

Dr. Matt @ 107:

No, you're just insistently being sexist and hyperbolic.

As opposed to having something to say.

VitriolAndAngst @ 111 "How much more Liberal is McCain than Hillary?"

McCain is NOT a liberal. He is opposed to torture because he's a torture victim. He opposes mass deportation because he has a multi-ethnic family, and thinks it would be a disaster for his party to try it.

"Hillary may have done a deal to do nothing that will make the Democrats look effective."

She doesn't have that power, and her relationship with Murdoch is not particularly mysterious -- or conspiratorial.

"I hope I'm wrong, but with the mysterious disappearance of Kucinich and Edwards from the race"

What is so mysterious? Kucinich retired because he's in some danger of losing his day job. Edwards left the race because Obama became a phenom and E's stump speech failed to produce enough votes in the face of that phenomenal outpouring of support, which leveled Hillary's obvious advantages.

"I just feel like the NeoCons cannot afford investigations,"

Well that's just tough. There is only so much they can hold back, and the year is just barely getting started. Do you REALLY think that R will be able to run a yearlong campaign without mentioning the incumbent?

"There were a lot of cross-over Independents and Republicans who voted for Obama, and if they didn't check a little Rovian "gotcha" box that made no sense at all, their votes aren't counted."

Republicans are NOT allowed to vote in Dem primaries. Independents, in CA and some states, are.

The 'gotcha' box was put into place by the SUPER-CROOKED Republican votefraud Queen, Connie McCormack, who is currently advising on international elections (failing upward). The REPUBLICAN RoVs in CA are in a conspiracy, and currently suing the loyal SecState to stop her from gutting their votefraud system--to no avail.

Much is going to change this year, and not much of that is good news for the Rapepublicans.

LOL! All plausible deniability on this one goes out the window. And with Mitt dropping out, even better. :) Let FOX be the force behind the 3rd party upset. ;)

I believe that's an abbreviation: "(D)umb-AZz"

Honestly, where is the FCC or the BBB on this one? It's getting kind of old.

Does anyone know why I can't get John's email working for comment? It's on the page but it won't open - weird. I have seen NATTA on this blog about HR 1955 (Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007), posted unanimously 404 votes to 6 in the House! BOTH parties are up to no good and no-one is talking about it. This is legislation that could shut down a great medium like this blog!

So what about it John? Any chance of shedding some light on this? Or are we to succumb the partisan circus as usual? I've always been a great fan of this site but I'm wondering why this hasn't been touched, especially with all of the FISA and Cheney impeachment coverage. And sadly on that note, our hero Wexler was one of the 'aye' votes on HR 1955. What is going on?

There is NO way that is a mistake. Somebody behind the scenes made a funny. They don't care about being respectful or presenting accurate news on that network. This is one of several times they've conveniently mislabled people before. I mean, they never slipped up and made Tom Delay a Democrat, have they? But they made Mark Foley a Democrat in the middle of his scandal. That network is incredibly slimey.

I'm kinda starting to wonder what Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck, etc, etc are trying to do. But, for one thing, they are clearly trying to sway conservative voters away from McCain and towards Hillary Clinton, rather than Barack Obama. Why do they feel so comfortable with HER, as opposed to HIM? Do they truly feel that Clinton, someone who they've constantly and consistently portrayed as "liberal/socialist," at best, and "communist," at worst--for YEARS, is more conservative than McCain, or do they feel it will be easier to rally conservatives against Senator Clinton if she is the oppostion candidate?

If it comes down to Hillary vs McCain, will they then finally "see the light?"

I just don't know.

But it's very suspicious, all of them crawling out of the swamp virtually at the same time. And everything is warfare to these folks.

EVERYTHING.

peaceful easy feeling @ 35:

Then again, this could be happening because the "D" and "R" are right next to each other on the keyboard. Even the supposedly brain dead Fox viewers know McCain isn't really D-AZ and would pick up on this immediately.

lol, that is so laughable... it might just be me, but sounds like a repub thought of the most hippy sounding liberal stinkin name he could come up with, before confusing a D and R on the keyboard (i'm curious as to how many typos go up on the screen other than D and R, hmmm) and supporting the merely "supposedly" brain dead Fox viewers... but brain dead people dont watch tv much less fox, only brain washed ones do.

laffable

so, basically they label anyone they don't like a democrat, even if there's (oh, i dunno) a ONE HUNDRED PERCENT chance that he's a Republican (R, no D!)...AND RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT!?...I wish to god one day, news channels will get penalized for adolescent dumb ass shit like this that's done ON PURPOSE!

The answer, my friend. is blowin' from the horse's mouth:

"The reason I'm raising money for Hillary is because, apparently, my party, the Republican party, is relying on fear and loathing of Hillary to unite the party," Limbaugh said.

(D-AZ)

Not the first time. Boy, either there's something wrong with the "D" key (sticks or something) in the streamer title dept., or the typist has trigger-syndrome of the right hand bird finger.

Oops, I meant left hand.

bryancri @ 18:

ok, so obviously this isn't a mistake, and foxnews must really assume that its viewers are stupid......

and how many times has this happened in the past?

If the dems are in control next year, they really need to go after the reinstatement of the fairness doctrine. Then, they need to hold hearings on why FOX is allowed to call their blatant repug propoganda news, and change the laws accordingly.

He is the Republican Lieberman. Maybe they should form a party of two to attract cranky old farts who want endless war in Iraq. Discuss.

Coulter, Limpnuts, Dobson, Delay....the most loathsome creatures of the Republican right coming out strongly against McCain really make him more appealing to the swing voters. Has anyone thought maybe that's their strategy?

The USA is a one party state..Could any two candidates such as Clinton McCain be any more alike.

Edwards Paul 08!

They did this crap on purpose; they've had McCain on enough times to keep the chyron stored in memory somewhere so they don't have to retype it.
This is just a propaganda trick and a clever swipe at him to rile up the base for Huck- even though he is mathematically eliminated like the Miami Heat.
What are they going to do at the general and he's facing either Clinton or Obama- leave it as D-AZ while they are D-IL or D-NY? That wouldn't make sense and they know it.

FOX News: we distort, you comply.

Big John @ 133:

The USA is a one party state..Could any two candidates such as Clinton McCain be any more alike.

Edwards Paul 08!

In fact Bill Clinton said himself if it came down to McCain and Hillary it would be the most civil presidential election in history.

Anyone need more of a reason to vote against Hillary?

I wonder what a broadcaster has to do to loose his license? FOX makes so many errors either on purpose or do to incompetence, you would think there would be a threshold at some point.

Who are we at war with again? Is it Eurasia or Eastasia?

Brian Ward @ 137:

Who are we at war with again? Is it Eurasia or Eastasia?

According to McCain, both. With more enemies on the way.

Oceania! That's where the dragons are!

It's sickening how often this kind of 'accident' appears on Fox News.

Does this really surprise anyone? And can we all band together and file a lawsuit against Fox for deliberately and repeatedly broadcasting false information in the guise of "news"? Seriously, I'd sign a petition to get that going.

their polls and ratings are all bullshit. Their popularity is a lie....... they should be told by the people, in unison....... that they aren't wanted.

mudshark @ 95:

again...on tuesday...8 million repugs turned out to vote,15 million Dems turned out.
What's that tell ya?

It tells me that if this keeps up, P residential Directive 51 will be the only way for the neo-cons to remain in the White House. It seems like they're willing, not to mention able, to do just about anything to acheive their goals.

I still don't understand why they continue doing this considering great blogs like C&L expose it......

Ivan @ 146:

I still don't understand why they continue doing this considering great blogs like C&L expose it......

Because they're idiots

It is my suspicion that the wingnut media is congering the old uniting hate rhetoric to lather the conservative zombies from the dead.

Once they are out of their graves they will be hearded into feeding grounds like in night of the living dead.

Then given liberals as the red meat brains they need to eat.

1st- make hate.

2nd- direct that hate.

Conservatives vote against things they hate or led to think they hate.

Simple enough?

You'd think even the Fox Droids would figure out by now that Faux Noise is cooking the crawler. No, I guess they're not that smart.

Ruthless People @ 134:
