The most glaring example has to be Tim Russert's "favorite Bible verse" debate question. I would have answered, "Why Tim! It's John 11:35! You know, "Jesus wept." And if he heard your stupid, pandering question, he's weeping again today."

It's not just those quotes, but the entire book of Matthew that needs to be pointed out to the rabid godbots and the pandering politicos. Matthew contains the Sermon On The Mount, the "big preach" in which Cheez-its tells his followers rules for how to live, and one of the three things Cheez-its is most famous for.

This brief article was disrespectful. The 3 Christian candidates do have integrity. I am sad for liberals. They are so misguided. Do liberals really feel that Christianity, or faith in general, are out of fashion? I guess for liberals the concepts of morals, standards, and personal responsibility are just to be laughed at.

You are right, I don’t like any sin, especially my own.In Romans 1 26-27 Jesus makes it clear that homosexuality is a sin. I am not saying they aren’t “normal”, because we all fall short,so we are all abnormal. I am not judging anyone . The difficulty is separating the sin from the sinner. If someone is a habitual shoplifter, and you came to them as a friend and said,he man, don’t you think it’s wrong to steal. They may get offended , but you are just trying to help.I don’t often accept it well at first, but when someone points out my sin, they are usually right, and I can then strive to set a better example.My belief is that homosexuality is a temptation , just like anything else. I could be tempted to have sex with women outside my marraige, but with God’s help, I am able to overcome.I’ll shut up now, I’ve probably already created enough troble with my views.

Um, dude, Jesus never wrote one word in the Bible. The writings in Romans were the works of Saint-Paulie-come-lately, not Joshua Ben Joseph. Paul was the one who condemned homosexuality, Joshua Ben Joseph never said boo about it. Jesus also said, as I recall, that to make a show of religion is its own reward, something you are doing in your arrogance presuming to help. No, Jay, I don't know ANY people who call themselves christian, who are regular, decent people. EVERY SINGLE ONE, I've met, including those in my family, are nosey, ignorant, self righteous, holier-than-thou, hypocrites who are CONVINCED that their religion is the best, and anyone who doesn't believe as they do are going to hell.
That being said, I DO however, give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Most sunday xtians, though, prove their ignorance after only a few minutes of speaking.
They speak against abortion, while being in favor of the death penalty, they speak of Jesus, who was peaceful, yet they support the war. They wave the flag, and their crosses, and want the two to merge. They think America is a christian nation, it is NOT.
So Jay, I say unto you, you wanna beleive in a mythological deity, go right ahead, knock thyself out. But DON'T push it on me.
I am sorry to hear that !! We all need to set a better example. I lived a long time without God in my life , and I just want others to enjoy what I've found. I'm not pushing, just inviting others to join in. God doesn't force himself on anyone , if we want to ignore him, he allows that. One thing that God doesn't do is stop pursuing us with his love. I try to follow that example, I just love people the best I can.
