I forgot...
By John Amato Sunday Mar 02, 2008 5:00pm...does China have a preemptive doctrine too?
In spite of a marked improvement in relations, however, the US has increasingly urged China to be more transparent about its military build-up. Admiral Timothy Keating, the head of US Pacific Command, recently said China needed to provide more information about its military intentions...
Hey, at least we're transparent about that.<snark>

Using the link, this is as far as I got John,
".........the Pentagon said on Monday."
Always with the bad guys versus the good guys. Damn those evil Chinese. How dare they carry our debt. LOL. Seriously, what happens if China does get ticked off at the US sabre rattling?
More Bushie fear-mongering.
How dare the Chinese do what they want with their own military. Don't they know they're supposed to clear everything first with the US???
Just classic how a country with enough weapons to blow the world up countless times is going to lecture another country for building up its own stockpile.
Gee, I just can't figure out why the rest of the planet hates good ol' America.
China's public military budget was about $30 billion for 2005. Isn't that what we're spending in Iraq each day? And China might not be investing in space-based weapons if the Bushies weren't already attempting to weaponize space, in violation of an international treaty.
He is getting away with peeking at all Americans cards. The Chinese can do more then defensively ante up now and stacking the deck is getting more and more difficult. They did figure a way to track and shoot down a stealth bomber and that scares the fear mongering bullies.
Have to have a strong military so we can intimidate our creditors.
Another thing you have forgotten is at least one post of the Isreali slaughter in Gaza this past week. not one mention,, pretty pathetic .
We're the Leader of the Free World.
We need to Remind Bush...
I understand from my friends at the American Freedom Campaign that you are planning to veto the intelligence authorization bill because it contains a provision forcing the CIA to adhere to the Army field manual with respect to interrogation techniques and the treatment of detainees. I urge you to reconsider this action.http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/2165/t/1027/campaign.jsp?campaign_K...

Can you fill us all in on who was the Crook and/or Liar?
Our own nations history is a parking-lot of hypocrisies. We promise one thing and do another, we promise one thing and then walk away from the promise as if it were only a myth. Does anyone here think this nation has changed any? The more historical references I read the more I am convinced that this nation is quite literally no better than ANY other nation on earth, save our constitution.

I posted about it. Tragic. Israel needs nations to say enough is enough. The UN needs to act unilaterally if need be. Screw Bush and his military dictatorship. Send in UN forces.
Today, the United States of America, the greatest military force in the history of the World, cannot successfully win a war in a country the size of California. The reason we are the greatest military force is because we have a nuclear arsenal greater than the rest of the world combined. But.... are nukes everything they are made out to be?
First off, the first nuclear strike, against another nuclear country, will probably be the LAST nuclear start of a war because there will be no world left to fight over. If we use a nuclear bomb on a punk country like Iran, yes we will survive for a while, but all bets are off the table about having legitimate cause before using nuclear weapons, and we will be target #1 for all the world's sickies. So, should nukes be counted as military force, if their use will lead to world destruction. This is my introduction to the current topic.
Does China, the U.S., or Russia(some dummies still call this U.S.S.R), really want to start a war with the others. I say this because to the victors go the spoils, and does any of these three powers really want to have to control 300 million(or 1.3 billion Chinese) people? Hell, Israel can't do it to only 1 million(?) Palestinians, and the U. S. can't control only 26 million Iraqi's( before a high percentage of Iraqi"s skipped town to try to save their own lives). This sentence answers itself.
On a s(N)ide note, remember how we won the Cold War by bankrupting the USSR by making them build so many nukes? Well, don't you think that China and Russia are laughing at us all the way to the bank(China literally, since they hold so much US government debt) with us doing the same thing in Iraq that the Russians did with their thirst for Nukes? King George is destroying this country financially, morally, and militarily with his stupid Crusade against Evil Doers!

Israel. Killing. Innocent kids. Again.
Speaking of China.. let's help get the consumer advocacy site www.BuyBlue.org up and running again.
Take back some power by using the information to spend our dollars more wisely.
They're even looking for feedback and ideas...

How about killing innocent Americans - U.S.S. Liberty - no investigation, no apologies, no Congressional investigation and no reparations - now that's one hell of an ally!

I think their sweatshop build-up is a bigger concern. But if they were that worried about their military, they shouldn't have done trade with them after the Tiananmen Square incident.
The good people across the world are waiting.
Whatever happened to the Peace Talks?
Some Soldiers in Israel and China are also going AWOL.
How long has it been.

Maybe Huckabee can play a peace concert in Israel, Iraq and Iran.
McCain can take the lead vocals.
China. Here's reason to reconsider doing business with those fools.

Let's take care of America.
Hasn't anyone else thought that if the greatest military power in the world can not win a war against a handful of people in a small sandbox...
...then maybe they have no intention to win the war. Afterall, it has been an exceptionally successful effort if your goal was to raise the price of oil and increase oil company profits...
pre-bush, gas was .99 cents a gallon or less. with bush, it's pushing $4.00 a gallon.
very successful. that is, if you're an oil man.
Blue Lensman @ 9:
The Crook? Seriously? You still need help with that? Amazing.
If we are arrogant enough to have something called US Pacific Command, then China can do the same idiotic thing if it wants to. I have no sympathy for imperialists of any kind.

Or an arms contracter.
Why would China tell chimpy anything?
So chimpy can bomb the hell out of them?
Get real!
Israel isn't bothered by being transparent why should China?

Excellent point. Unfortunately, Barack Obama is not helping matters by proposing to increase the size of the military, which is already gargantuan, by almost 100,000. As other commenters have noted, saber rattling by the United States is not the best way to win the hearts and minds of so many people around the world, who already view the U.S. with much deserved fear and loathing.

Funny.
That's what the Palestinians are saying on their own freaking land.
Stay in Canada.

Can you believe that limpdick is telling his squidbilly listeners to throw the numbers, in Texas, by voting for Hillary?
Well then you will believe Abrams (MSNBC) is actually putting forth the argument as if limpy's voice is relevant. What a crackhead.
HAHAHAHAHA
This from a country that outspends the rest of the planet on its military combined. Hypocrites r us.
How odd we have a President who talks about keeping AmeriKa safe and secure. Boasts about how our soil hasn't been attacked since 9/11 because of the extraordinary powers that he has taken... but yet our borders are wide open and the Chinese Government walks away with U.S. military secrets like we go shopping at Kmart. Let's hope the Chinese military, as big as it is, is as cheap and breakable as the rest of the garbage that comes out their country.
