McCain's Lobbyists In Trouble
By Nicole Belle Sunday May 11, 2008 3:00pmSince Friday, McCain has lost two advisors because of their firm's work in Myanmar. Well, it turns out that's just the tip of the iceberg. McCain's campaign is loaded with people who have worked on behalf of some of the nastiest dictators on Earth.
Reform Watchdog Group, dedicated to campaign reform, is asking McCain to fire those lobbyists. You can sign their petition here.

As I said before....
This guy has so many lobbyists working for his campaign, he doesn't have enough appointments for them...
McSame/McBush = Bush 3rd term....its that simple
Obama 08
Wow, I'm shocked that McCain would have lobbyists for foreign interests on his team... shocked I tell you!
You want "old Washington politics", he's your man. Maverick, my ass.
I'm Shocked. A member of the Keating 5 up to his arse in corrupt alligators? You can knock me over with a feather.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!
I would disagree with the attempt to get them fired. Having these stout hearted fellows at McSame's side will certainly help him lose an election. Why would we want to interfere with him being indicted and such for the people he allows to use him?
He is probably beholding to them in a big way to even put them on his campaign, so he can't fire them. All the better. What is the new name for his next slogan? The "SS Express"?
If the nazi party has money they haven't spent on Ron Paul, they will give it to john. And john never forgets to return a favor for a dear, dear, dear friend. Too bad they don't realize what it means when he calls anyone a dear, or dear, dear, or worse, dear, dear, dear friend.
SURPRISE!!! the lobbyists' dream candidate, who lets his lobbyist campaign staff do their lobbying from the
straightshit talk express, seems to have a few on his staff who work for fascists.Well, as I see it, if your are a repug lobbyist, then you work for fascists anyway. but that's just me.
McCain's a joke. What a hypocrite!
Any of these go by the name of Duke?
Fire all lobbyists and you will have a government for the people.
Until then, business as usual no matter what Obama and his kool aid tell you.
Lobbyists who work for McCain?
Don't you have that backwards?
Rusty Shackleford @ 10:
You do have a point there.
Awww. Give Grampa a break. He doesn't even know what day it is much less who is working on his staff. All he cares about is that the nice lady who changes his adult diapers shows up once or twice a day.
It figures..... McCain is just a tool and this is but the latest example to highlight this reality... In a different age, this would be the kind of shit that would get a politician campaigning for the office of president shitcanned as a contender... But with republicans these days??? Just more burnishing of the resume.... I do not want these kinds of motherfuckers running things in this nation anymore... They have had their 15 and parlayed it into 30 plus years on Reagans dead coattails... I've had enough.. so have a lot of people...
Publically financed campaigns would go along way in eliminating this particular kind of shit... Probably wouldn't shut it down completely but would hamper this kind of scheming, in that candidates would no longer be 'that dependant' on lobbyists and former lobbyists to gain traction with the public or work the money generating process, by having these louts scheming in the background of presidential races. But again, repubs and more than a few dems don't want to have anything to do with real, honest, legitimate campaign finance reform...... So we as voters, remain left to sift thru this kind of shit.....JD
sofla @ 2:
The Repubs clearly don't want his ass, and he came begging the Democrats to join the party in 2003. This old man isn't a "maverick", he's just confused and unwanted. President? Yeah right. McFraud, you can't get across the street without assistance.
oldtree @ 5:
When I read this, I had the same basic opinion as you, but for somewhat different reasons. I think it is tactically better to leave them there, and kind of table making an issue of this until after the presidential campaign is well under way. Then jump all over this. No reason to give McCain an out, by saying, "As soon as I found out, I asked for their resignations. It will be enough (probably) to satisfy the moderates, who are currently uncommitted, and we want to attract to our side.
With such direct and blatant ties to KNOWN and unrepentant terrorists, will McSame now resign from the US Senate and suspend his Presidential campaign as his name is now permanently added to the No-Fly List ?
If corrupt politicians go on to lucrative lobbying jobs, what do corrupt lobbyists do when they get fired?
Go into politics? Probably. Not that it matters.
It's a lot like trying to empty a lake with a spoon.
Who is McCain's campaign manager? This person should have checked out the whole crew so that things like this wouldn't happen.
This gives us an example of the type of people McCain would surround himself with should he become the president.
To tell you the truth, I cannot understand why anyone would take his campaign seriously and consider voting for him. He is kind of pitiful as he stumbles along trying to be one of the guys when he is unable to mentally keep up.
The way his voice becomes sort of sing song and soft when he is talking about sad or sensitive issues is just so phony. The inflections in his voice sound like a teacher reading a book to a bunch of pre-schoolers.
Now that Barr has tossed his hat in the ring as a libertarian for president, McCain has one more thorn in his side. Plus Ron Paul has not gone away.
Fox news was asking this afternoon if Hillary might split from the dems and run on a third party ticket. I doubt she would but I hope they didn't give her any ideas.
This will be ignored, as usual, by the reich-wing McCain Stream Media. If it somehow slips on the McCain Stream Media, Faux will be there to defend their guy.
pissed off patricia @ 19:
That could really hurt. She has the cranky, jilted wife vote all sewn up.
No surprise. I haven't met a GOPer yet who wasn't a dictator wannabe.
pissed off patricia @ 19:
Barr and Paul could easily pick up 5 to 10% of the reich-wing vote in November.. These two will be the Democrat's best friends.
getalife @ 9:
At least you're good for a laugh.
pissed off patricia @ 19:
she's murdick's favorite candidate, so I think she'll still have the opportunity to take any ideas from anyone.
she's campaigning like a repug anyway.
McSame is such a scum bag, just like his BFF Bush.
WooHoo!!! I've been waiting for this...
If someone's not having sex with someone else the murkins are not interested in it.
What's on the food channel?
IN A RELATED STORY....

IT WAS DETERMINED THAT WITH ALL THE KICKBACK HE GETS, THE LOBBYISTS ARE IN A POSITION WHERE THEY MAY DETERMINE THAT THEIR BEST BET IS TO FIRE MCCAIN

These guys have had quite the clientele.
SLORC, Savimbe, Mobutu ... oh my my MY.

I'm not sure McCain will like my new website.
The McCain team is no different than any other GOP campaign team. They are always stocked with corporate lobbyists that will do anything for anyone at anytime for a buck. That is the GOP way.
McCain himself has worked for one of the "nastiest dictators on earth" -- George W. Bush. At least McCain has insofar as carrying the water for The Decider/Liar/Murderer/Torturer is "working" for him.
xargaw @ 33:
$20 candidates
We need a grassroots campaign to mail in $20 monopoly bills to GOPpers.
Lets ridicule and rub their noses in their sleaze.
Liberals and Progressives to annoy the Goopers could wear folded up $20 monopoly bills as flag pins :)
That would drive them wild.
ferrofluid @ 36:
This is a brilliant idea, just make sure your name ain't on it.
BRILLIANT!
So the right wing talking heads accuse Hamas of backing Obama; maybe they should ask why is Burma endorsing McCain?
why won't the mccain source link work?
Lobbyists? What lobbyists? I was nowhere near any lobbyists!!
ferrofluid @ 37:
They could show up in Congress with those little oil cans that make that loud clacking noise too. Everytime a gooper says "honor" or "Iraqi government" or "national security" just make the noise like the tin man. So old and rusty...they need that oil, gotta have that oil!!!
Frankly I am shocked that anyone in this country is shocked by McCain and his nasty cabal. This is not a news flash, folks!
