C&Ler Bill G reminded me of this clip by Max. It's "Blumenthal's latest that takes us on a shocking and at times bizarre tour of right-wing Pastor John Hagee's annual Washington-Israel Summit". Hagee introduces Liebermann by saying that he supports Joe's vision of attacking Iran.
Hagee: Therefore it is time for America to embrace the words of Senator Joe Lieberman, and consider a military preemptive strike on Iran to prevent a nuclear holocaust of Israel.
Lieberman: I want to take the liberty of describing Pastor Hagee in the words that the Tirah uses to describe Moses....he is a man of God.
How long has Joe Lieberman known Pastor Hagee anyway? We do know as far back as July of 2007, that's almost a year ago---Lieberman was hanging with Hagee, comparing him to Moses and knew nothing of his extreme positions? Will the press finally ask Joe about his relationship with Hagee now?

Hillary voted for the AUMF which was designed to slow boosh down with two requirements he never met. But the Congress as a whole didn't call him on it, because the nation as a whole was in a blood-spilling mood.

And while she has voted to call the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist group, I think Obama voted present or not at all, he's made incendiary comments regarding attacking the Pakistani-Afghani border unilaterally if it appears Ben Laden is there, and the then Musharraf government didn't do anything about his presence.

LIE-berman has sold himself so far down the river that only a truly twisted attitude would justify any of what he advocates - in addition to a place for himself in the "promised land". Norways population is 4,7 million, and Irans is at 70 million, so yes, they are 14-15 times OUR population, not yours.
My point was that Iran spends less money on military pr inhabitant than any other middle east country, and Norway are insane warmongers compared to Iran, judging by military spending pr capita, with about 13-14 times the military spending Iran has, for each citizen.
In addition, about 40% of Irans budget is spent to subsidize food and gasoline for their inhabitants, in order to keep them from protesting overly much. No sane people can look at these numbers and claim Iran is a threat to world peace.

Yes, I watched that horrid show! While, indeed, Lieberman was shown as the buffoon he is, the tragedy of the movie was that it pretty much gave the 'cons a free pass and portrayed them as simply, 'the oppostion,' the other side, honest disagreers (most especially the extremely sympathetic portrayal of senior's buddy, james baker). This 'well, they're all the same' meme is the most pernicious of the MSM's rantings. Shameful movie, I thought.

What nonsense. The number of nukes that Israel has is not a U.S. state secret, and even if it were an Israeli state secret Carter would have no obligation to keep it so. Besides, Carter left office in January 1981 and does not know any Israeli state secrets- probably never did.
It is true that the Shrub Regime chooses to pretend not to know about Israel's nuclear program, but Carter is certainly not bound by the Shrub idiotcracy.

And we only knew they had nukes when they tested them in cooperation with the old Apartheid government in South Africa- late '80's or early nineties. And even if Carter knew about Israeli research in the '70's...well, it's 30 years on, and everyone knows that Israel has nukes now.
And you're making a leap if you assume that Carter got this info in a security briefing. This could be info he got from Syria or Israel's pals in Turkey (a disaffected Islamic Republic type who went around the secular Turkish military/security institution?), a think tank, the UN, or, even, for reasons alluded to in my first comment, Israel itself!
