Just as a suggestion could we perhaps have an open thread to discuss Hillary's speech? Thanks for your consideration.
I saw part of that silliness on fox this morning and changed the channel. If that's all they can find to talk about, I'm not interested. They are like a bunch of old gossipers with way too much time on their hands.
Nail her on it: where the f@#k did she get terrorist fist-jab?? Not only that, but she didn't bring it up afterwards. I'm sorry, but she has some explaining to do.
When will the morons at FAUXNOIZ realize that leaders who invade countries unilaterally without due cause could be classified as terrorists? Obama is against such actions. FAUXNOIZ is a terrorist organization for supporting the criminals in the Bush fascist regime and their war crimes.

During the June 6 edition of Fox News’ America’s Pulse, host E.D. Hill teased an upcoming discussion by saying, “A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab?
Unfortunately, we can expect a lot of this from Fox and other conservative shills from now until November. And they know exactly what they are doing. Just plant a little seed in passing; something they can later claim to be misinterpreted or taken out of context. That's ok, though, it's a sign of desperation. After November, we can give them a big collective, "suck on it, losers!", when their guy goes down in flames.
The Fox Republican propagandists are trying so hard to claim that even the slightest hand gestures, looks, color of tie, means that 'Obama siding with the terrorists'. They fear is making them look desperate. Good. Let's laugh as they sweat.
The look on that idiot pundit's face when when the 'body language analysts' didn't say what she wanted her to say was priceless. It's true. Gestures have many meanings, among many groups, among many cultures. It didn't mean anything but establishing a connection with another person.
The Fox folk are scum and liars. I'm glad they're so stupid. They speak a language that only truly appeals to a certain 20 or 30 percent of the American population. The kind of dumbed-down language only hateful, frightened, anti-intellectuals appreciate.
They appeal to the worst in humanity. More and more people are starting to notice that.
I happen to believe that Fox isn't nearly as dangerous as CNN, and this is simply further evidence of it. This is so patently absurd, and so obvious as to where they're coming from, that nobody will be persuaded by it. This is partisan junk food, plain and simple, and the country has caught on. Their gig has no legs left.
But when Candy Crowley and the rest of the CNN team feed the public the notion that Obama is obligated to appoint Hillary as the veep, it makes an impact on public sentiment. And they do it all the time. Like Fox, they make a concerted effort to tell their viewers what they should think, but they do it in a way that isn't pandering to a specific and consistent ideology, so their efforts seem more sneaky and unfortunately, more sustainable.
I'm sick of FOX News' terrorist fist jabs. Whether it's lying or fear-mongering, I am sick of them. Likewise am I sick with the fact that it works with a significant portion of the electorate/viewing audience.

I guess I will have to call DHS and have them investigate a variety of professional and amateur athletes now that I have become cognizant of the terrorist narure of the fist jab. They can come in virtually any guise.
NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING is ever Vetted on FOX. They just come out like this ditsy gal and vomit up some hairball of a comment on the mike and it's supposed to be accepted by john Public. But hidden in there is the fact that she referred to Senator and Mrs. Obama as Terrorist.

Michelle is not as "refined" as Obama at hiding her TRUE feelings about America--etc. Her "Hezbollah" style fist-jabbing--mouth-twisted anti-American speeches is STRAIGHT from ISLAM!
This is the same blog that freely and willing allows Mann Coulter to publish "her" rants. Here is the cached entry that contains the vile smear. It's pretty f*cking sad that faux broadcasts a vile reich-wing comment as a some sort of "valid" criticism. F*ck you, faux.
I forgot to add earlier that E.D. Hill is the former Edie Tarbox who got her start as a video jockey (VJ) on either MTV or VH-1. Highly qualified to sling mud on Fox News.

What your pastor said once upon a time, lapel pins, Bill's past and now a fist. The MSM will do anything to distract the American public from the issues. Hopefully Barak, Michelle, Hillary and Bill will keep bringing our nation back to the issues. Enough of the lapel and fist distractions. Get to the issues.
Just like them to have no understanding of the rapidly changing American culture. And Fox calls itself a major American news network?
Everyone knows the fist-bump started out as a black thing, a simple, friendly greeting. Certainly healthier than the typical hand-shake and all those germs.
But just like rock & roll, jazz, and so much more, what started as a black thing is now widely seen in society everywhere....black and white.

I don't think we have to hold Human Events accountable for the lizard-brain comments that are made on their blog. However, we certainly can hold Fox accountable for repeating them.

Right. Osama's always dapping his terrorist bro's.
These people aren't stupid. They know exactly what that gesture means. The idea is to get viewers to perceive all this stuff as one big, scary ball of negro-terrorist-illegal-alien 'otherness.'
The subliminal message is "don't be fooled. This guy's pretending to be like us but underneath that Ivy League education and Brooks Brothers suit, he's a bone-in-the-nose Mau Mau."
I remember when the raised fist got some black American athletes in trouble at the Olympics .. (30-40 years ago?) .. now that raised fist is as common as a high five ..
I guess these pundits maintain their lily white skin color by living under rocks ..
Like it or not, Obama is an "Apostate!" "Oh, No!" Dems. say!
Obama had a MUSLIM Father...received early ISLAMIC schooling!
No matter HOW Dems. and all other-DENIAL anti-Americans want to deny it, he's an "Apostate" in ISLAM!
An "Apostate" in Muslim eyes--is the "worst of the worst!"
For Dems: "Apostate"="Renunciation of your religion."
Points: I'm not even sure that Obama realizes this, due to so much "brain-washing" from Rev.!??!? Wrong!
But, Obama's "diplomacy" meetings with the worst-of-the-worst Muslim leaders--AKA--Iran, Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah, would put Obama in a laughing stock from an ISLAMIC standpoint--and an IMPOTENT standpoint for America!
To make it, "all better"--Obama should get his wife, Michelle, to do all his Islamic "diplomacy meetings"--since SHE comes off more a MUSLIM than Obama! Oh, gasp!?!?
Michelle is not as "refined" as Obama at hiding her TRUE feelings about America--etc. Her "Hezbollah" style fist-jabbing--mouth-twisted anti-American speeches is STRAIGHT from ISLAM!
Bottom Line!??! Dems.---Congress/Senate/OBAMA--wants SOCIALISM FOR STARTERS IN AMERICA--with it's 'CLOSE' SISTER--COMMUNISM IN THE VERY, VERY NEAR FUTURE!
Capitalism does NOT reward the useless/lazy/non-productive peoples of the world! THEREFORE--the HANDFUL of WORKERS IN AMERICA MUST SUBSIDIZE THESE PEOPLE WHO, PRODUCE NOTHING EXCEPT MORE BABIES/CHILDREN FOR AMERICA TO FEED!
(And--I DO say America-PERIOD! The REST of the world from A-Z--do not produce enough food or $$$ to put a hamburger on anyone's table!)
Oh! Excuse me Rev.!??! Wrong! America wants to STARVE ALL BLACKS AND OTHER PEOPLE WHO DON'T 'KOWTOW' TO AMERICA! YEAH, SURE, WRONG!

how does one apply for a job at faux news? do they do a IQ test to see how dumb you are? or do you get your brains sucked out of your head during orientation?

If E.D. Hill is so stupid or out of touch that she implied that the gentle fist bump between the Obamas was some sort of terrorist plot or signal, then it's time to arrest Mrs. Butterworth as she does the same thing with a 9 year old white boy in a recent comercial...
In the Caribbean (I'm from Trinidad and Tobago) we simply call it "a bounce". Now if that makes me a terrorist, then we've been bringing fear to people for most of my lifetime, as you would see tapes of West Indian cricketers doing this as far back as the early 1980's. John McCain needs all the help he can get. He will only win when his supporters paint Barack Obama into a radical corner, through playing on the fears of the ignorant.
A truly disgusting little nugget of hate and misinformation. This "news" network is a real serious joke. Even a republican should be ashamed to be getting their news from this un-American low class trash channel.
I guess no one at Fox News (I can't help but laugh every time I type those two words back-to-back) has ever seen this anywhere else. No one there watches "The Office" where Michael and Andy bump fists in a few episodes. Or "Deal or No Deal" where Howie Mandel does it with every contestant.
I guess all those people are terrorists AND secret Muslims.
Her approach to journalism consists of long legs and phrases with no content that send subliminal messages of fear to her audience, who are in the IQ range that is receptive to such signals.

Yep, Obama the Secret Muslim Terr'st would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for that old Al'Qaeda greeting he picked up in Afghanistan during basic training. Nice detective work, fox.
The scumbags at FOX News better get on their knees, read the 1st amendment of the constitution, and thank God it's there everyday. They abuse it like no one else.
Freedom of Speech and the Press are sacred in the republic they are trying to destroy.
Because if this country was the kind of dictatorship they fight for, and I was the dictator, they would be in front of a firing squad for high treason.
Either this dozy bint's dad gave a LOT of money to the GOP or she slept with the wrong producer. How desperately pathetic is FUX Noise to flail at another "muslim = terrorist" dig?

Exactly. Same goes for the likes of ABC (The Path to 9/11, Gibson and Stephanopoulis).
I'm surprised there isn't more anger on this thread. It's not as if Hill's comment were posted on Free Republic. An employee of Fox News referred to possibly the next President and First Lady of the United States as a couple of terrorists, albeit with a Cavuto question mark. They should be punished for this...if not by the FCC, then by the DNC, DLC, and certainly the Obama campaign. He shouldn't make any more apearances on the network, at least until they disipline E.D. Hill or apologise for her remarks. In fact, if Obama's campaign hasn't already been alerted to her comments by now, then there is something seriously wrong with his media communications staff.
Btw, like everyone else, my reaction was: "Those right-wing nutjobs at Fox are at it again. What else is new?" But then I took a step back and realised how utterly unprecedented it was. If Fox News, again with a Cavuto question mark, said Sasha and Malia were being raised to become little suicide bombers, would that be acceptable? Personally, I don't see much difference.
Geezus, I'm sure that the Obamas have a private joke about this gesture between the two of them. Look at the look on Michelle's face. It's going to be amazing what the right is going to throw out. And sadly, scary how many idiots are going to eat it up.

I have enough faith in the rest of my freedom loving Americans that when push comes to shove, calling a presidential candidate a terrorist is propaganda that will backfire.
Obama and his wife love this country, they are both great Americans who we should be proud of. This candidacy marks a potential turning point in our history the likes of which fox news can't hope to withstand.
And if I'm wrong and things go from bad to worse economically, mcsame gets elected and squanders what's left of our credibility and treasure, then watch out, because this country will go into open revolt. There is a wave growing that will not be stopped.

No wonder we're losing the war on terror: conservatives cannot tell the difference between "terrorists" and "people we don't like". That's why we're fighting the WOT in Iraq and Dunkin Doughnuts instead of dealing with the terrorists behind 9/11.
The grown ups will be in charge come January. The voters will end this madness. Hopefully Fox news will suffer the same fate as the GOP it represents.
If I am correct, I think the first time I saw the fist bump was when Tiger Wood and his caddy Stevie did it on a PGA tour and everyone went wild, then the rest of the PGA tour players started doing it also and now it being done on the LPGA, and baseball, basketball prime time t.v. shows etc,..wow!!!! some many terrorists.

You know that depending on the camera angle, the "George Bush" bump, especially with male military types, extends far below the chest, so much so that it could be considered frottage.
Yeah, I guess these Republicans don't get out much. This has been out there in the public so long, that even white people do it after scoring a point, verbally and otherwise.

This "fist bump" is a smoke screen for the far more terrifying playful swat on the ass seen seconds later. He touched her ass in public. Won't someone please think of the children.
Howie Mandel greets contestants on Deal or No Deal, by bumping fists. I and the guys i work with say goodbye every day by bumping fists. I have never seen one video of terrorists bumping fists. It seems like another wise crack to link Obama with muslim.
Clearly the target audience of this piece of media stupidity was 70+, to those who dont understand this "terrorist fist jab" you are reminded from the propaganda terrorists that bumping a fist with your wifes fist means begin terrorist training.
Sheesh, this crap has to contribute to Alzheimers, seniors should be warned of this network

Dunkin Doughnuts is the central theatre in our war against terror. We're fighting 'em there so we won't have to fight them at Krispy Kreme.
It's a black thing. Maybe if most of those Faux reporters actually lived near black people, they'd get it, too.
Wrong! It's a heavy metal thing. The black community stole it from us head-bangers (along with chain wallets).... :-p
On a side note, where in the FUCK did she get terrorist fist-jab? What the hell was the point of throwing that into the intro and then NEVER mentioning it again during the course of the broadcast!?
Absolutely, resolutely fucking sickening.
Besides the fact that it's desperate right-wing propoganda, the whole "it this a young people's thing?" shows just how depressingly out-of-touch these rich, white talking heads are with the world.
Jesus Christ, honey. Leave the studio just ONCE in your life, walk down a city street, and you'll know what a "fist-bump" is.
Then again, these are the types of people who would get hypnotized watching kids in a skate park....
Doesn't understand the fist jab. But she and her "body language expert" can understand and giggle about Bush doing the chest bump. They even saw it during football games!!! But they never saw a fist bump during those same games? Like it's some kind of foreign gesture? Please....
If something untoward were to happen to Barack (think MLK), would Fox bear scorn and culpability for these sort of comments? Would they feel remorse for their unending beating of the dead-horse Rev. Wright? Or the madrasa canard?
Clearly, Fox seeks to create a divide between Obama and what Fox tells Americans what they really are. This has the potential of being very dangerous.
Beware folks. It's this kind of constant drumming that could set a whacko off.
I think it's about time congress revisits the Fairness Doctrine. What Fox is doing is not in America's best interest.

Just plant a little seed in passing; something they can later claim to be misinterpreted or taken out of context. That's ok, though, it's a sign of desperation. After November, we can give them a big collective, "suck on it, losers!", when their guy goes down in flames.
a "terrorist fist jab" ? lol wtf is that ?
whats this ? terrorist devil sign ?
George and Laura Bush...Satanists? > http://www.prisonplanet.com/images/january2005/220105sign2.jpg
It's a black thing. Maybe if most of those Faux reporters actually lived near black people, they'd get it, too.
"A terrorist fist jab"?
ROTFLMFAO!
You've got to be fucking kidding me!
They really said that?
geez
the idiocy
I'm sure E.D. Hill knows all about fisting.
Hey, the extreme right wing can go right ahead and completely alienate the under 30 and urban crowds.
Nothing surprises me anymore in this country. Nothing anybody says or does.
Everything changed after 911.
You mean its NOT a terrorist fist jab?
NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING is ever Vetted on FOX. They just come out like this ditsy gal and vomit up some hairball of a comment on the mike and it's supposed to be accepted by john Public. But hidden in there is the fact that she referred to Senator and Mrs. Obama as Terrorist.

As the indies and few remaining reasonable republicans RACE to Obama I would like to be among the first to thank Fox News.
E.D. Hill: A blonde bimbo? A twice (or is it three times) divorced gold digger? A barely dressed know nothing Foxbot? Hmmm. You decide.
So E.D. Hill has joined the ranks of the unhinged at Faux News. "Terrorist bump"? Oookkaaaayy....
OMG! Does this mean my teenage boys are terrorists?
Apparently a comment on Human Event.com in a blog entry by Cal Thomas is responsible for putting this reich-wing bullshit out on the internet(s).
Highly qualified to sling mud on Fox News.
it's a good thing that Obama isn't relate to the homeless florida terrrrrrists who wanted to put the sears tower to a match, literally.

Its a good thing Fox has a "Body Language Expert" on hand to dispel the immediate reaction of "terrorists!!" after watching Obama terrorist fist-jab his wife. LIke, that was my first impression. Thank you Fox for letting me know that Obama is not a terrorist!

Thanks, Dr. MAtt. I was trying to track it down, but it has clearly been scrubbed.
I don't think we have to hold Human Events accountable for the lizard-brain comments that are made on their blog. However, we certainly can hold Fox accountable for repeating them.
Seriously, this is the "right-wing echo chamber" we've been talking about. When "Larry from Abilene" gets semi-quoted on national teevee, you can thank Rupert Murdoch.

They should get out a bit more often I think !

If E.D. Hill is so stupid or out of touch that she implied that the gentle fist bump between the Obamas was some sort of terrorist plot or signal, then it's time to arrest Mrs. Butterworth as she does the same thing with a 9 year old white boy in a recent comercial...
Clearly the 'fist bump' must be code for 'Phase 1 completed of "Operation Take Power And Then Kill All The Honkeys"'.

Fox News anti-Obama campaign is more than just tasteless smearing. Its dangerous putting all these stupid ideas in sick peoples minds.
Yep, Obama the Secret Muslim Terr'st would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for that old Al'Qaeda greeting he picked up in Afghanistan during basic training. Nice detective work, fox.

cg @ 21:

Pathetic.
If you said this on CNN or MSNBC you'd be seeing an immediate apology the next day. But of course were talking about Fox, a station that routinely touts the depths of their ignorance and hatred. Wonder if they went to Rove and asked him, "what's the most outlandish thing I can say about this?"
Apparently Fox is trying to reach their base on this one: the KKK.

There is a wave growing that will not be stopped.

when i saw this on the TV it made me smile, big smile!
the next day i found some pictures here, and that moment was the first one...
i printed it and posted it on my bulletin board here in front of me...
this is so ridiculous... and yet, that "terrist" seed has been planted...
You make 'em stupid . . . we'll make 'em Republican stupid.
The chest bump is just one of George's signals that he has switched his role as King of the Land, in the Shakespearean sense, to the role of Fool; who, unfortunately will only say more foolish things as this nightmare unfolds.
I saw Julia Roberts and David Letterman do a "fist thing" on TV. Maybe they belong in Guantanmo. Honestly...
You know as a white guy and an Obama supporter, I'm suddendly offended. Where do I go to complain?
#124: "The chest bump is just one of George’s signals that he has switched his role as King of the Land, in the Shakespearean sense, to the role of Fool; who, unfortunately will only say more foolish things as this nightmare unfolds."
You know that depending on the camera angle, the "George Bush" bump, especially with male military types, extends far below the chest, so much so that it could be considered frottage.
I always thought it came from the boxing ring as in "Shake Hands" only with boxing gloves on, you bumped your fists together .

Yeah, I guess these Republicans don't get out much. This has been out there in the public so long, that even white people do it after scoring a point, verbally and otherwise.

Absolutely, resolutely fucking sickening.
Besides the fact that it's desperate right-wing propoganda, the whole "it this a young people's thing?" shows just how depressingly out-of-touch these rich, white talking heads are with the world.
