John McCain's Greatest Campaign Hits
By SilentPatriot Saturday Aug 09, 2008 8:30am
TPM put together this hilarious montage of John McCain's blunders and awkward moments from the 2008 campaign trail. Do we really need four more years of this?
Can you spot any they may have missed? I can think of two: First, his creepy smirk after proclaiming at one of the GOP debates that he would follow bin Laden to the gates of hell (but presumably not into Pakistan. Go figure.); Second, his uncomfortable deer-in-the-headlights moment when he was asked about his contradictory Viagra position. Feel free to add your own via the comments.

Rumor has it that the KKK supports mKKKain. They say he's the white man for the job.
McCain's issue isn't one of age, but of idiocy.
at 0:58 classic 'self' freudian slip by McBaggie. hilarious
what is it with GOP and their candidates smirks? sheesh, can they sneer any more. i dont think so. just imagine that galling and sickening image of all those GOPers, the ones who rejected McCain in 2000 with amazing slander via Rover, standing behind McCain on election night if he wins the Prez job? its not McCain that irks me, its that smirking, cheering, sycophantic crowd just laughing at Dems and saying 'we won' and you lost again. Barack should win just to stop that foul scene from unfolding. they and their policies are the causes of many sorrows and they and McCain must be stopped.
Help! We can't fight Russia all by ourselves! This about America! Freedom!
How bout that slowly dawning look of comprehension each morning when his staff explains to him who he is, and what he's doing?
It isn't a matter of do we really need it. It's a matter of people will probably let it happen.
some real David Brent moments in that montage.
Hard to believe that this is the best the Republicans could come up with. He is Bob Dole without the sense of humor.
I only lasted 1 min and 25 seconds into the video and had to hit Stop. Never thought the Republicans could actually find a candidate that might make the current President look smart in comparison.
"older than..."
yes McNasty is literally old enough to remember Pearl Harbor, born 1936, five years old in 1941
Rick @ 9:
I think what you really mean is this is the best Americans could come up with?

The next 50 years is going to be about Oil and Prestige.
101 reasons why Grampi should not be president.
Looks like the McCain aides are trying to prevent more gaffes by not letting him talk on the phone.
"Senator John McCain is so quick to pick up his gold-colored cellphone to solicit advice -- from senators, campaign consultants, even the stray former deputy press secretary -- that aides, concerned about his tendency to adopt the last opinion he has heard, have tried to cut back on the time he has to make calls.
Mr. McCain is known to sign off on big campaign decisions and then to march off his own reservation."

Age and ruthlessness versus Youth and Idealism.
Nasty Recipie
Silent Patriot ... Maybe you could write to TPM and have them add those two flubs you mentioned, especially the Viagra moment.
There's no way this moron will actually be the GOP choice. Something will happen and they'll find someone else last minute.
This little TPM video clip of McCain's blunders is extremely short compared to the ones that will be made after 4 years of McCain as President. Surely the people in power (CFR, Illuminati ,AIPAC, CIA etc.)have told McCain :
"You ARE the next president. It's not up to the people. It's up to us. Your job Johnny-boy is to keep the numbers tight. Lead in the polls or keep the gap small. We'll do the rest. We'll do WHATEVER IS NECESSARY. All you have to do is keep the numbers tight. Congratulations President McCain." (^_^)/
Steve @ 18:
McCain/Leiberman. . . McCain kicks the bucket and Joe becomes Prez.
This is bad. REALLY, REALLY bad. We must have a leader who is sharp and well-educated. McCain is neither. I know he is under a lot of pressure constantly traveling and campaigning, but hell, does he think his White House job will be a snoozer? God help us if he gets in. He is old and senile. Honestly, I don't think he is going to be around much longer with all of his health problems.
Most Americans did not select him. In fact, most Republicans did not select him. They are just as embarrassed about him as I am.
L.A. Confidential @ 20:
Israel will love that.
Racy @ 23:
Zionists will thats for certain.
Stuff like this will not benefit Obama. People heard dozens of Bushisms and saw how much of an idiot he was but they voted for him anyways. Half of AMerica wants a dumb president.
WHY, WHY WHY??? Why aen't the Obama strategists taking off the gloves with the this bumbling old fool. He has tried to emulate his hero, GW, so much that he is at the point where his bumbling speech and lack of knowledge has perhaps surpassed the master. anyone who has aligned himself in MCsame's corner has to be considered a mindless idiot as well. he alludes to his friend, Shaquille, i wonder is another mindless contrivance of mcsame, or is O'neill truely a john mcsame man??? Time to take off the gloves and go with him with everything you've got. I don't like the fact that Obama feels content that he has this one in the bag and there is no need to get his hands dirty. he needs to start hitting the mcsame campaign with the same vigor that mcsame is hitting him. is he going to go nice-nice into the loser's corner. Dennis wouldn't do that. He would and did fire both barrels.
McCain will probably be wired for the debates. Hope they give him a pat down before he hits the stage. I want to hear this guy speak on his own.

Racy @ 27:
Why would you want to hear a Presidential Candidate say "check out the rack on that blonde in the first row" during debates?
A personal favorite is McCains answer on Faux News about his lobbyist-advisors:
"... Uh.. th.. the uh uh.. ah they.. they're not lobbyists"
interesting perspective:
McCain has been viewed as a viable president since 2000 because GWBush was the standard candle. My daughter's night light burns brighter than GWB, so McCain came off as some kind of a genius. Now, when faced with someone who is smarter and more eloquent, McCain is revealed for what he is: a hack.
I was informed yesterday by a client, a white man of a "certain age", that, while he didn't like Gramps McCrotchety, he was voting for him. He can't support Obama, in fact, he's actually frightened of Obama because:
1. He's not an American
2. He's a Muslim
3. We are at war with Islam, and it is a fight to the death
4. Being born in Hawaii does not qualify as being born in America
5. Obama has a radical preacher
6. He refuses to say the Pledge
7. His father is a Muslim
He's the third person this week I've run into that has parroted the same lines.
This guy was so concerned about my lack of fear over Obama that I have probably lost him as a client because I obviously don't love America if I can't show some terror about the prospect of an Obama presidency.
Point is: It doesn't matter what gibberish McCain spews. It doesn't matter if they roll him out on the stage and he does little more than drool. He's a white man and he has an "American" name.
Chuck U @ 25:
Yup. McCain is uneducated. That's why there are so many blunders.
So let's compare:
McCain - four years at naval academy graduated bottom of his class. His father was an Admiral and may have pulled him through (over 600 pages of his military record are missing...sound familiar?).
Obama - graduated magna cum laude from Harvard (Juris Doctor).
'nuff said.
SAD.
Maybe he'll win florida, the old folks there understand him.
It's that weird smile which is creeping me out. Reminds me of Lon Cheney Sr in London After Midnight http://www.denofgeek.com/siteimage/scale/800/600/20981.png or Moe from the Simpsons http://pagesperso-orange.fr/kwik-e-simpsons/wallpapers/moe-800x600.gif.
i rather get waterboarded than watch this video in its entirety... it's beyond torture

Is that so? Why don't we have a little discussion about who that might be...and if that new guy has a chance of winning.
They won't pick Ron Paul.
Mitt Romney?
Huckabee?
Who ???
Shouldn't you all be used to that after 7 + years of the most unintelligible , dishonest and worst president in US history emerging from the GOP ?
L.A. Confidential @ 29:
I'd take that though:)
my gosh......this guy makes bush seem like Einstein!

What does that prove besides McCain's adorable humility and Barack's arrogance and fancy-pants show-offedness? Don't you get it, this only proves that the uppity one doesn't know his place.........
After having lived through the Civil Rights movement, I'm actually kind of glad that the scab is getting picked off of American racism this way. My kids are in their twenties, and they are looking at this the way that we looked at the KKK and segregationists in the 60's - as if the racists were/are a dangerous relic of a past best left to die. Forced to die, if necessary.
It took knock-down, drag-out battles then and it may again. This week David Duke proclaimed that an Obama victory would be good for white supremecists because it would serve as a 'wake-up' call to the white man to reclaim his control.
If that isn't a battle worth fighting, I don't know what is.
I had a serious discussion with my mother in-law about John McCain and the condition he seems to be in. A lot of the signs he exhibits look like an early case of Alzheimer's. Look back on some of the tapes of Reagan moments, where Reagan would forget things, mis-speak, or just plain look lost, and you'll know what I mean. Keep in mind... this isn't a rip on his age. It just seems that over the last two years he seems to have gotten more and more lost.
Honestly, it makes me kind of sad to see this happen. I'm also terrified. I find it odd that almost half the nation is willing to back someone who looks like he has to be pointed in a direction before he is set loose and they just hope he hits the target.
Has anyone else heard about McCain's alleged responsibility for the Forrestal fire?
http://judicial-inc.biz/82jjohn_mccain_and_the_uss_forresta.htm
McCain's unqualified for President. How did he become the GOP Candidate again? Couldn't they have picked someone remotely better?
Remember that this is the only candidate in my memory who is not always authorized to speak for his own campaign. And no, I didn't make that up.

"A vote for McCain is a vote for the KKK" (show footage of McC juxtaposed with Klan rallies, etc ). I'm glad I'm not running Obama's campaign.
Krisken@42:
Don't believe the polls. The polls are wrong. If an honest vote was given today Obama would win in a landslide victory. The polls are being held intentionally close so that McCain will win pretty much the same way that Bush won...fraudulently. The people won't suspect a thing because they have been brainwashed into believing all along that the race was close. Trust me...it isn't close.
Racy @ 52:
I understand that the polling isn't correct. The news media needs a close race (much like the primary debacle) to feed their 24 hour news cycle. However, he does have enough supporters to have a repeat of the 2000 election. Barack Obama will have to win by at least a 5% margin to win the presidential election. Those Republicans are amazing at working polling stations and fixing votes in their favor.
afterburner @ 31:
America could have survived one term of McCain in 2000, anything would have been better than the retarded puppet GWB.
The Republicans made a choice and chose Chimpy over McReject in 2000, so what qualities does McC*nt bring to the table in 2008 ?
Don Rumsfeld hater @ 37:
Huckabee would be the dumbest choice the GOP can choose. Oddly enough, of that particular crop, McCain was the best...which says a lot.
ferrofluid @ 54:
Bush went crazy enough in the aftermath of 9/11 with collective punishment in Afghanistan. McCain was a hawk, much more hawkish than Dubya. A McCain presidency in 2000 might have actually seen WWIII start.

Funny how the media covered up the fact that no one in Harlem voted for Obama, even though it is a 95% black district. They all voted for Hillary. You gotta be kidding me. People need to get pissed.

I actually heard something (CNN maybe?) on Thurs or Fri that Obama was going to do the Klan some good because an Obama victory would help "re-energize their base."
And he knows how to fight wars and win them. Just like he did in Vietnam.
Someone whose claim to fame is repeating "My Friends" until listeners are close to considering suicide isn't someone that should even be allowed to visit the White House , let alone be elected to it...................
Racy @ 58:
Um...not every black person will vote for Obama. Some may choose Hillary. People in Harlem especially might have done that 1) because in the early primaries, Hillary led over Obama among blacks, 2) Hillary was New York's senator, and therefore a more familiar and known quantity than Obama, and 3) why exactly would Harlem be required to vote for Obama? Are blacks supposed to vote for him simply because he's black?
Chuck U @ 25:
Oui.
It's depressing.
What's the cause of this?
General_Rennenkampf @ 65:
Very funny General! Many people in Harlem came out and said they voted for Obama...where are their fricken votes????...and yes some people WILL vote for him because he is black. Just like some people will vote for McCain is white. Race is an issue here whether we like it or not.
McCain may have had that uncomfortable "Viagra" moment, as Dana Milbank called it, but in the interest of truth here, you should know that Carly Fiorina was mostly wrong and her complaint outdated regarding how much insurance companies cover birth control vs. viagra; it was true that there was a major disparity in coverage 5-10 years ago, but nowadays, over 85% of insurance companies do cover birth control medication/contraceptive methods.
General_Rennenkampf @ 56:
You're giving Bush too much credit -- Cheney's ran the show since 9-11.
Racy @ 67:
Name one or two.
"Many people" is meaningless as a statement. I expect something slightly better. And "many people" might just be many people you know, not the majority of Harlem, who might well have seen less to gain from Obama than people want to admit.
Ronnie Retard and the GOP spin machine ; dumbing down Americans since the late 70's ............
Marvin El Canucki @ 69:
Even so...Cheney didn't go apeshit after 9/11. McCain, OTOH.....
General_Rennenkampf @ 65:
To say that NOBODY voted for Obama in Harlem would be logistically impossible. Even if Barack was a gay republican with HIV, 2 divorces and a mug like the elephant man, at least 1 person would vote based on race.
If McCain's campaign is worried about him staying on message now, imagine how nervous they'll be the night of the first campaign.
Schieffer's final comment on "Old White-haired Dudes": Remembering when phone booths had doors "to keep conversations private." And to keep people in wheelchairs out. Nice work, Bob.

Look, the American people are wrapped up in the Olympics. Is Congress on vacation yet?/still? The repubs must be planning on stealing the election. You think Nancy Pelosi is going to prevent that? GET REAL FOLKS!! Hey, you think the people are gonna pick up their guns and shovels and sling shots and march to Washington?? They might start to do that and then Britney Spears or Naomi Campbell will overdose on anti-depressants or get arrested in a public bathroom and the American people will put down their shovels and sticks and be glued to their TVs. The repugs in power will see that the American people are organizing with weapons and they'll say "QUICK, RUN A STORY LIKE PARIS HILTON IS PREGNANT WITH BRAD PITT'S BABY" and that's it. It will work. Yes, the American people are that stupid.
So back to my question. McCain is obviously showing signs of Alzheimers. If the Repugs panic and replace him -who do you think his replacement might be?
General@70

Zero votes in Harlem? Did you hear what I said General? Zeeeeero votes for Obama in Harlem. Seriously, if that isn't voter fraud, I don't know what is.
Marvin El Canucki @ 66:
Dumb Americans.
Sorry if this is a double post, but it didn't post when I submitted:
Here is the record on the Harlem vote according to the New York Times:
"Black voters are heavily represented in the 94th Election District in Harlem’s 70th Assembly District. Yet according to the unofficial results from the New York Democratic primary last week, not a single vote in the district was cast for Senator Barack Obama"
At the sprawling Riverside Park Community apartments at Broadway and 135th Street, Alician D. Barksdale said she had voted for Mr. Obama and her daughter had, too, by absentee ballot.
“Everyone around here voted for him,” she said.
At the Archive, a cafe and video store on the border of Bushwick and East Williamsburg, the manager, Brad Lee, agreed. “There were Obama posters in everyone’s windows,” he said. “There was even Obama graffiti.”
MAJOR election anomalies in black districts in New York. ZERO votes for Obama in Harlem...impossible General, it is completely impossible.

fastfeat @ 77:
Now that's not fair, is it? I would be willing to cede that Americans are ambivalent, even lazy. However, to say we're dumb and that is the cause of what is going on is a huge oversimplification of the situation. Misinformation from the government, taking advantage of disasters to make radical changes, and the media are all contributers to the erosion of the belief that we have a say in our government.
As for McCain being dumb, I don't think that's the case either. I'm still convinced it's Alzheimer's disease.
he will not last 4 years in office. His memory is worse than Ronnie Regans,
Karl Rove @ 81:
Yes, we heard you the first time (figuratively, that is).
Rove very confident on CBS.
They have the dirt on Barry.
Fox is starting to attack Hillary.
Something is up.
Ever notice how the only mentally impaired politicians you ever see are Republicans, and they can achieve the highest positions despite their stupidity? Reagan, Bush, etc. It's because anyone who is not a corporate servant Republican would be weeded out early by our media if they weren't sharp. Corporate shills get a pass. You don't need to possess even *average* intelligence to be a successful Republican. The corporate media will always give you the benefit of the doubt; they'll ignore your mistakes when they can, and spin them in your favor when they can't.
Seriously-- look at McCain with fresh eyes for a moment. He's a joke. But even a doddering old joke can be a viable presidential candidate in this country, so long as he promises to serve corporate America.
O.T. Watching Faux news Sunday with the guest Rick Davis, he claims to be reaching out to democrat voters. If they were really reaching out they would be correctly be calling them democratic voters. They cannot get away from trying to get the rat in there.
ah, jeez @ 32:
You pretty much nailed it. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but there are way too many gullible retards in this country. They'll do anything to maintain their blind hatred of anyone that's a little different. All it takes is a little tweaking from the MIC media, and they'll march to any tune.
McCain is pretty much our "Weekend at Bernie's" candidate, which is fine by waaaaay too many people in the U.S.
He graduated 894th out of 899 at Annapolis. I know there's video out there where he makes this statement and laughs about it. He thinks it's funny that he's stupid!
One which I had missed was that Putin was the former president of Germany.
Not unlike FOX News Channel, McCain is not just exploiting the ignorance of his supporters -- he's counting on it. (Bob Cesta – Huffington Post) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bob-cesca/protecting-mccains-ignora_b_1175...
McCain is counting on people to be stupid and not to know any better. He and his surrogates are going to keep on doing it because they're getting away with it and the media is letting them.
Of course the media knows what it's doing also. They want to keep the race close for better rating! So they're counting on people to be ignorant too!
Krisken @ 79:
Agreed about McCane and Alzheimer's.
And perhaps I over-simplified things with my "dumb Americans" remark, but, face it, we, as a nation, ARE dumb. Not everyone, of course, but as a group, well...
Maybe I've just spent too much time in American towns that "education has forgot" lately--Fresno, Knoxville, Pensacola--but I assure you, stupidity IS alive and well here. And just like Americans voted for bush because "they'd like to have a beer with him", many will vote for McCane despite his "senior moments" because he sounds more like them. Oh, and, don't forget, he's not black...
So...that's our next president, eh? I'd have to agree with Krisken; if I were seeing this man in the Hospital Emergency Dept I would have to note that this patient is probably mildly confused and make a note to watch for "sundown syndrome," which refers to the tendency of organic brain syndrome (senile dementia, alzheimer's etc) patients to become even more disoriented at night.
Keep an eye on this guy, especially after dark.
In my household, McCain is also referred to as "Mrs. Tweedy" (from the movie Chicken Run) because of that creepy, waxy smile he frequently flashes after he thinks he's scored political points.
Krisken @ 73:
You're right, saying NOBODY voted for him is logisitically impossible. Stating that all of them did, OTOH....
They missed out the absolute classic..
"I love when the fed lowers rates, I wish Interest rates were zero!" - McCain
Wow, i had no idea he was so..... off. I mean, I know he isn't the man to lead the country, but wow. He kinda makes GWB seem like a good speaker.
The Corporate Consortium managed to get Dim Son "elected" twice. The Democratic party didn't say "boo" about it. Make no mistake, John S McCain will be "elected" the next President of the United States. If there is an "election."
As many versions of this video need to be made and linked as possible. Bush was a gaffe machine, but he was also a good campaigner who had corporate America and the evangelical nutbase in his corner. McCain doesn't have those groups solidly behind him, and he's a shitty campaigner. But he does have the MSM covering his arse every single day. If videos like this were produced by the DNC or MoveOn, then it'll eventually make it into the MSM. And if that happens, McCain will collapse in the polls.
OT Georgian troops reported as having withdrawn from province they invaded/liberated/are being used as a tool for oil corporations/condi.

Ron @ 84:
Watch out, DemocRAT voters should work a treat with those PUMAs.
General_Rennenkampf @ 92:
Did someone say that? I missed that.
So everyone agrees with me that McCain will be the next president ?
Or... you are all confident that Obama will be (?)
I think we all agree that he has some kind of senile dimentia/Alzheimers, right?
I mean - everyone (Dems and repugs) would be laughing hysterically and shocked if a candidate in his 40s had the speaking style of McCain. Most people act unfazed like, 'hey he's in his 70s. Of course he mixes up Somalia and Sudan, says Putin is the pres. of Germany. I mean the guys in his 70s.What do you expect?"
I'm convinced that nobody can stop the CFR from putting McCain in power. Maybe they want a docile old man in the WH. They can just tell him, "Johnny. Remember the red button. It's time. Go push it." The Illuminati can have their WW III, WW IV.
I'll bet that the repugs will steal the election since they succeeded twice. At the same time- they'll be some sex scandal or major distraction. As for the ones that do protest-they'll be put in FEMA Concentration Camps.
Your options : Sweeden, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Spain. There's a whole wonderful world out there folks. P.S. I don't live in the USA (anymore)
Krisken @ 100:
They throw a strawman of my argument at me, I can return the favor.
ah, jeez @ 32:
Ah jeez,
Unfortunately I think you are right on here. The electorate, by and large, just doesn't give a shit about reality - as long as the NASCAR races keep going, as long as they themselves don't actually have to go to war, as long as they watch only FuxNews, as long as their preachers tell them to vote for gramps, and as long as Obama remains black.
We are in for a tough time in the near future!
He's like Reagan and Bush but without their intellects!
Forgot the one where he's telling everyone that "The American People" believe Iran's President is the official that controls Iran's military...Therefore his assertion is correct.
If we start creating policy based on what the American people think, we're totally screwed.
Ruthless People @ 106:
He really IS like Bush.
Ruthless People @ 107:
...oops. Just did a McCain.
Shawn @ 105:
The opposite seems to be and has been true for quite some time. They (the corporate elite/behind the scenes interests like the CFR) commercialize marketing and public relations campaigns to get idiot Americans to believe whatever they want them to believe. And it works. Just look at the latest example, drilling for oil offshore.
So in a way you are right, but not how you think. They ARE creating policy based on what the American people think. They're just telling the Americans what to think FIRST.
Damn! And I thought for eight years that Bush was the epitome of stupidity!
Dummer than a wall. God save America!

Must be why that Illinois district has sent a Republican member to the House, uninterrupted, since 1917!
garcia @ 109:
God save America? I'm wondering why Hagee and Pat Robertson aren'y coming out saying God has damned and punished America. Think about it. Since a minority of the American people and a majority of conservatives on the supreme court installed Bush the Supreme Decider we have seen fires, floods, droughts and hurricanes in biblical proportions. The greatest terrorist attack ever has happened. Our once record budget surplus in ruins, now in a recession and our international reputation in ruins all since "Gods people" the GOP were over all three branches of government.
Maybe we need to check Bush's ass to see if the number "666" tatooed on it? Maybe it's on Cheney's ass? Maybe God IS trying to tell us something? All this shit didn't happen when the Dems were in congress and in the White House.
Is this God's message? Vote Democratic or continue to suffer his wrath? Hagee, Robertson, where are you??? We need your guidance on this, hello???
fastfeat @ 89:
It's a calculated move, no question, to keep Americans two things:
1) Distracted
2) Dumb
And it's working, it's how after 6 years of outrageous killing in Iraq most Americans remain indifferent, even with their own sons and daughters returning horribly burned and in flag draped coffins.
War is Hell, right alongside reality. Good thing it is kept hidden from most people. (Who are the Cubs playing today?)
This guy needs a joke writer and a decent delivery.
Love that weak grin though...
This election should be won in a landslide. But it won't be. It will be extremely close. Close enough to steal. And it will be stolen again.
Only thing is America can't survive another 4 or 8 years of the neo-con rule. We are going to collapse.
If McCain or the switch-a-roonie they have planned gets in, we might as well kiss the America we knew good-by.
Almost impossible to watch from start to finish.
And it reminds me of you-know-who.
He really does have a creepy grin. He looks like he's really nervous when he does it, as if he is wondering if you see through his act.

My Dad used to say, bless his soul, "if you thought of it or seen something chances are many other have seen the same thing." It is from that advice I make the claim John McCain is not fit to be president. What has to happen in order for the right-wing MSM to admit this fact?
Without the media's silence about McCain's true image and forgetful condition, the polls would show a blow out in progress. Instead, with the help of a few well placed daily tracking polls, McCain's remains close to Barack Obama. Can you imagine where Obama's polling numbers would be if this tape were of him? He would be laughed out of the election all together.
There is a strange feeling to why the media does not touch McCain's shortcomings. Within the close race perception lies a greater plan to steal another election. Something must be done with this perception of a close race; they can start with the two daily tracking polls. Gallup and Rasmussen polls are acting like a gate valve to lower Obama's numbers as needed. Without these two distortions , Obama's lead would be between 9 and 5. For now, taking away these two daily manipulating polls would be a good start in correcting this phony perception of a close race.

Ugh...we are being led by an ex coke-addict recovering alcoholic that can't speak the English language better than a three year old...and we want to consider handing the leadership to a bumbling old fart that has as much "sharp tact" as 99% of the people in a nursing home?
God help us. HOW do you not see a better option than this old fart?...forget the platform they present. Geeeeesh. We are a nation of idiots. And this laughable old prick is going to get 48% of the voting public to support him. What a bunch of morons!!
OK, so why do some polls place him in the lead in Ohio?
This is meant to be a serious question. Non serious answers include "the electorate in this country are stupid" and "there's a conspiracy among the pollsters".
I think we need to find a serious answer and then work on changing things.
Oh yea, right, he would call Congress back in session to vote to give oil drilling rights without cost or concern to big oil companies. Maybe they could also pass a bill saying they have to give up the 68,000,000 acres they already have but are not drilling. Why? Bigger oil profits with a shortage that really isn't.
John McBush on the other hand has not voted in the Senate since APRIL 2, 2008. He's been out flying around on Cindy's private jet instead of voting in the Senate.
The Republic party is so low they can't get much lower. And with an old worn out leader like McBush it will only get worse. Or as George Bush would say, "worser". Time for another Aricept, old John.

Yes read about that and more here:http://www.wclt.com//news/special/articledetail.cfm?articleid=23261
Haven´t heard of this one before: President Putin of Germany.
I guess if this creep somehow manages to become your next president you´ll find yourself missing GWB.
I heard that McCain only does one campaign event a day versus Obama doing about 3 or 4 a day. Think about that. McCain only does one political event a day and he still looks this tired and old.

When he made that quote I called his Washington office and got into quite the yelling match with an aid. The aid said he has served for 26 years with a stellar voting record and could be excused from voting since April 8th since Obama has so much more money than McCain to spend. (I know, I know, what??!!!!)
Then we got into it over the fact he gets full disability from the Navy but has a full time job. Truth is, the aid shouldn't have been able to say anything about the campaign because he is paid out of taxpayer funds. Not campaign funds. But when has that stopped them.

Thanks for that...I find it interesting that McCain has not been swift-boated for this. I ran across an old navy man who is still pissed about the Forrestal fire. Said McCain caused the whole thing out of his own stupidity and arrogance but it was covered up. I wonder if there are any more eyewitnesses out there. Of course the media wouldn't cover this anyway. Scared bunch of chickenshits.
The video leaves out one of McCain's bigger flubs -- the Lexington gaffe.
Captain McCain reminds me a lot of another "Captain": Queeg!

I live in that district and trust me, we are working hard to change that. Republican candidates here are not unbeatable. Bob Michel almost got beat in 1982 when he was in the House. And there is nothing wrong with Eureka College, a small liberal arts college where you can receive a fine education. When Reagan attended there he was a Democrat. Then he got assimilated by the Republiborg collective.
You forgot the most important blunder he did when he said Iraq borders with Afghanistan
That smile alone is reason enough for me not to vote for him, despite all the other good reasons. I want my president to have integrity and that is the most anti-integrity gesture I have ever seen from a human being. You can tell a lot about a person from their smile, and McCreepy's tells the entire story:
"Good, delivered the zinger line...oh yeah, need to smile to show I'm not a complete lying bastard...see, I'm one of you, I care about your piddly little lives...gosh I hope this works..."
McCain is a sad and pathetic old man. RETIRE!
