Between Ted Kennedy's speech and the clip and 2 speeches highlighting Michelle Obama, I was moved far more than I expected to be.
I generally hate conventions, but I think the Democrats hit it out of the park. The reaction of the 2 little girls was the icing on the cake.
I was very proud to be an Obama supporter tonight.
Contrast that with John McCain, who staged a deliberate set-up that allowed him to say to Jay Leno that for 5 1/2 years he didn't have a kitchen. Good grief. That was almost a verbatim line he has used to deflect criticism in the past.
I think Mr. McCain has just jumped the shark at the same time that Michelle Obama glided right past it.

Anyone having trouble keeping awake to this thing must know everything. There was some important insight for your country to see and hear and it was important enough to invest the 3-4 hours. Incidently, probably as much time you appear to spend at the computer.
Treat it like 20 years of raising your child. Not every moment is mind-boggling......but in the end it was worth being there. So no more crap about these things being boring. The comments are oft times borish but the program is not boring.
And I'm Canadian.....we're looking for any scrap of promise that will restore what was lost these past 8 years. Maybe that's it....Canadians differ from Americans with their patience and willingness to learn.

But how PATHETIC is it that the USA has to depend on COMEDIANS to give us the straight dope on the current events??? Isn't that what we PAY JOURNALISTS TO DO??? No, people - this is NOT a sign of strength, this is a sign of decline. I love the Daily Show as much as anyone, but I would RATHER have it so that the Daily Show would be a comedy program, and not one of the few independent voices and one of the most important programs in American Journalism.
