I've come up with the perfect "Honest McCain Campaign Poster"
http://gopnot4me.blogspot.com/2008/08/honest-mccain-campaign-poster-18.html
Will they thank me? Nnnnooo.
Anyone else have trouble staying awake watching the Dem whatever it us?
Jon Stewart, you are an incredible man.
Meat @ 3:
And yourself?
Perfect. Truer words have never spoken.
I noticed everyones eyes glazed over when Michelle mentioned "Working Hard" to get somewhere in life.
Okay. McCain was just on Leno and got asked about the houses. He cited his 5 1/2 years without a house, a chair or a table. Also, he still hasn't asked his staff, because he thinks he has five houses. Wow. He really is batshit crazy.
That billboard is for real ? Wow, I love it. Jon Stewart and his crew in their faces. HAH !
pricklygirl @ 7:
Guy has servants (staff) to keep track of everything. Like most people in his income bracket.
Gun nuts try to kill Obama at the DNC.
Tax shelters rip off billions from the feds. Biden's son was the equivalent of Neil Bush. Only in Bush's America would a weapon of mass destruction be awarded landmark status. Bush wants Russia to recognize Georgia, but is against Georgia recognizing South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Looks like the CIA is in full swing this election season.
L.A. Confidential @ 2:
Did you watch Ted Kennedy's speech?
L.A. Confidential @ 2:
Tired from watching the convention, L.A., but wide awake to troll, ay?
calgarylady @ 8:
Cons driving by will think it's a compliment.
guido @ 13:
Seen LAC here alot longer than you "guido". Just a thought....You might want to know WTF you're talking about before opening your pie hole.
Meat @ 12:
Didn't inspire me. Nice guy, deserves a round for public service and everything but didn't hear anything cutting edge, transforming, and transcending.
guido @ 13:
I'm posting your trolling.
Yeah. No white oligarchs in the Democratic party.
Uh, huh.
Loved Michelle's speech. Hated the music they played after..."Isn't She Lovely?" You're kidding me? That's all they could come up with? Made me cringe. Don't get me wrong, she is a lovely woman, but her speech wasn't about being lovely. Why do Dems do stupid stuff?
Oh I've seen and read plenty "johnny." I'm just trying to keep LA awake, apparently the convention was boring him...but allow my pie hole to open again to say "nice to meet you too."
Johnny2Bad @ 18:
Oh no not at all.
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/Conventions/story?id=5648474&page=1
Between Ted Kennedy's speech and the clip and 2 speeches highlighting Michelle Obama, I was moved far more than I expected to be.
I generally hate conventions, but I think the Democrats hit it out of the park. The reaction of the 2 little girls was the icing on the cake.
I was very proud to be an Obama supporter tonight.
Contrast that with John McCain, who staged a deliberate set-up that allowed him to say to Jay Leno that for 5 1/2 years he didn't have a kitchen. Good grief. That was almost a verbatim line he has used to deflect criticism in the past.
I think Mr. McCain has just jumped the shark at the same time that Michelle Obama glided right past it.
The FBI suspected potential mortgage fraud, but looked the other way. A new Kitty Genovese for the new millennium?
pricklygirl @ 7:
there are homeless in america going without for longer then that.
Oh, and is anyone else glad that Obama ain't running during a Zero Year?

They should play there, specially for John McCain; "Money Money Money" of ABBA at the convention.
(no really.. they should..)
After receiving the endorsement from Daddy Yankee earlier today, McCain began to start dancing to Gasolina in joy! Read my article or you can watch him dancing to the song on YouTube

You need to bring this to John Amato's attention... it really does deserve and honorable mention at the very least!

Yeah, true, but you know how these things work. They've got to stoke this fire a few days in a row. Teddy's the warm-up act of day one. And besides, he was still better than Nancy Pelosi, and she didn't have half of her head shaved.
Tequila @ 23:
The sound you hear in the background even beyond the sound of John McCain's carping, snotty campaign commercials is the whoosh of capital leaving the system.

Ah, the infamous 'I see a profound truth that you cannot because you aren't as clever/wise as I am!' argument. Dude, people here are simply enjoying the DNC. End of story. Everyone knows that the event is more ceremonial than anything else; I can't imagine that too many posting here are watching and having their minds changed about any specific issue or person. So why are you here, attempting to rain on parades? It makes you seem the opposite of the aloof observer you pretend to be.
Ron @ 51:
Good times bad times I've seen my share.
L.A. Confidential @ 16:
Ted Kennedy is battling brain cancer, sir. This was a bonafide moment that speaks for itself. That's why many people were in tears. That's what makes it important.
L.A. Confidential @ 55:
Why don't you do like the rest of us and at least try to make it better instead of whining all the time. If you didn't like the coverage of the convention, I'm sure your remote could have clicked onto a sitcom or a reality show.
Nice billboard.

Ted Kennedy's speech was incredibly moving. Historic, even. It brought tears to my eyes and gave me hope for the future.
Way to go, Senator Kennedy. Well done !

Perhaps we can put all the homeless people in Gone InSane's many houses. He doesn't seem to be using them at the moment.

Ya know .. in the European Courts of Olde .. the Jester was the only person allowed to mock the King (or so I've been told) .. and it's interesting that the establishment Media all towed the Party Line .. but it's the Comedians who have really taken the Bush-Cheney Gang to task.

PLUTOCRATS, John, PLUTOCRATS!
Sheesh....I thought we'd made that clear by now.
The Democratic party is the party of (primarily white, male) oligarchs, and the Republican party is the party of (entirely) rich, white, male plutocrats. One party is only marginally better than the other, but still a significant difference. Unlike the Plutocrat Party, at least the Oligarch Party doesn't have a platform stating that only people with copious amounts of money are entitled to rights, freedoms, and protection from the government. (Not to mention HANDOUTS from the government.)
right on! @ 92:
A million dead Iraqis IS quite an answer in itself. our global torture gulag combined with extraordinary rendition makes us the envy of history's worst fascists and dicktaters.
In Britain they are thinking of building several new super prisons called Titans, 50 acre sites which would hold 2,500 prisoners.
strange when the current prison population is only 80,000
meanwhile there are calls to cut the prison populationand save money and ease the suffering.
of course with the dominance of for profit companies influencing and running some prisons, plus the entrenched attitudes of the police and their overtime, courts and lawyers, prison unions and their well paid members.
Its in all of these peoples interests to keep on incarcerating more and more petty crims, pot heads and the mentally ill.
Prisoner number were dropping in the 90s and up until 2001, then the UK gov as with the US gov, politicians found out that voters got their jollies off by being tough or seen to be tough and it paid to lock up the small people.

The race issue in Barack Obama's campaign can come up in peculiar and jolting ways.
On Aug. 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, guaranteeing women the right to vote, was declared in effect.
amazing that there had to be a law for this.
And why aren't Stewart and Colbert running again?
pricklygirl @ 7:
thats because he is living in 2000, he prob thinks he is running against Gore,
back then they prob only did have one house for every year he spent in the bamboo love shack.
or its ten houses divided between Johnny and Cindy Lou.
McCain the groundhog candidate, forever doomed to rerun the 2000 primaries.
That sign should be at every entryway to Washington DC.
A good reason to keep church and state separate Who knew that we've had that problem for so long.
US prison population 2,300,000 out of a general pop of 306,000,000, or 751 per 100,000
UK prison population 80,000 out of a general pop of 60,000,000, or 133 per 100,000
The UK prison industry could grow to a capacity of 400,000 inmates,
if it wanted to keep competitive with American prison companies and their profits/ dividends.
I bet they are crying over their spreadsheets in the UK.

911 Commission co-chairs claim that they were misled, perhaps deliberately, by the Bush administration and Pentagon brass. Because 911 was an act of mass murder overtly covered up by the Bush administration, the many lies by Bush amount to more than mere obstructions of justice or cover ups. They amount to high treason --a mechanism by which this administration seized power unconstitutionally. Holes in Bush's theories are holes in Bush's theories. Lack of evidence in support of Bush does not refute his critics who point them out.

The lies about Iraq WMD, the sales of WMD to terrorists, and the threat to the nation have reached a new level. A "White Paper" sent from the White House to Congress, Oct. 4, 2002, as the basis for war was supposedly based on a critical intelligence report received by Bush-Cheney on Oct. 1, 2002. Now we find out that, for all practical purposes, the White Paper was written in July 2002. This is an absolute outrage. It's worse than anyone had ever thought. This story in "Scoop" is just 1,000 words (short for me!). If you find it worthy, please get it around. It simplifies a more complex report referenced within the article and it is easily understood.

My thoughts exactly! Most of them are to stupid to know they have been insulted.
Pseudo democracy and only the comedians tell the 'wider audience' about it.
Pathetic.
Its good that they caught this group.
Now I wonder if they had any help from outsiders, and if Rush or Coulter could be arrested for conspiracy...
If they had succeeded it would have been just another 'lone gunman' in American history.
afterburner @ 129:
Well first off we don't pay journalists companies like GE, CNN, FOX, and all the rest of the msm does the paying. That is why they lie so easily, they trained their whole life to work for the msm and say what ever they want them to say!
Can someone please explain to me, just what qualifications Cindy McBain has to do ANY kind of fact finding mission to Georgia?
When I saw that on the ticker....I laughed out loud...wtf?
ferrofluid (Obama + Biden = 2008) @ 131:
Yeah...what was it...3 guys with rifles? Were they in cahoots I wonder or just 3 random assholes.
Johnny2Bad @ 18:
Well, to be fair, they should have put up that billboard at both conventions just to be an equal opportunity offender.
afterburner @ 129:
"We" don't pay the journalists. The smart ones figure out what they should write pretty quickly if they want to keep their jobs. Freedom of choice in a country where the media all have parent corporations.

What's with the crass comments? It is quite clear that she was born with a plastic spoon in her mouth........courtesy of The Who.
Each and every day of our lives, we make choices that affect our adult lives. I'd say she was one who got off the couch, moved on down the street, and out of the hood and into the halls of ivy............and for THAT, you're going to dis her????????????
WOW...................just, WOW!
L.A. Confidential @ 64:
That's one thing I have to agree with you about. Darwin, like Jesus is dead and beyond helping anyone. However the lessons learned studying Darwin have far outweighed any lessons I learned studying Jesus.

He is somewhat unhappy that Clinton wasn't the nom.
Michelle Malkin getting smacked down by Alex Jones.
Hahahahahaha!!!
MountainMan23 @ 42:
It has to be a staged fake. Remember, Brit Hume said racism was over in America and a black man being nominated for president was no big deal.
We need universal healthcare ASAP...
Maybe then LA can afford some therapy.
Great billboard!
Karen @ 69:
If Mc Lame had bought all six houses in one area he could have started his own TIF district. Repubs ain't exactly Einsteins though.
LockeNessMonster @ 140:
