Talk To Action

Sarah Palin was baptized at Wasilla Assembly of God and attended the church for over two and a half decades, and she has been publicly blessed by a number of pastors and religious leaders employed by and associated with that church.

Last Sunday our research team released a video, a ten-minute mini-documentary, focusing on the Wasilla Assemblies of God and the video seemed on the verge of a massive "viral" breakthrough when YouTube pulled it down, citing "inappropriate content".

At the point the video was censored by YouTube it had been viewed by almost 160,000 people. The short of it is that YouTube has censored a video documentary that appeared to be close to having an effect on a hard fought and contentious American presidential election.  Read on...

And they allow all the Rev. Wright sermons to remain...

we could be looking at potential problems here

Well, it shouldn't have been yanked, but let's not tar Palin with the nuttiness of this whole church. Look, the church I attend is far, far more conservative than I am personally. And let's be honest: unless Palin HERSELF espouses some offbeat religious comments (and I've heard there's ammo in this regard), I think it would be unfair to ask that Obama not be blamed for Pastor Wright, but then hold all these kooks against Palin.

I can't believe this crap. These posters are worst than crap. All you heard when people were talking about obama sitting on his butt in a church that preached against whites for 20 years was, it was ok cause when he caught fire for it he quit.

Now the same bunch of posters who flamed, slurred and lied about Hillary Clinton are posting stuff about Palin's church and are upset because it was pulled.

If it is not right to talk about obama's church and his pastor why is it ok to talk about Palin's. I think that is terrible.. In both cases religion should be off limits.

Plenty of other sites not based in America that would not censor this video.

glumbert.com is one of them

How interesting, since you can still find the Reverand Wright videos all over YouTube, profanity and all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hPR5jnjtLo

And until the Right stops bashing Obama over his church associations, it's entirely fair to bash Palin over hers. Until the Right stops bashing Michelle Obama over a few words in her honors thesis, it's entirely fair to bash Palin for her husband's associations with the Alaska Independence Party, that advocates breaking up America.

WOW - These people are sick, sick, sick!!

And, there is far uglier stuff on You Tube.....

As for the difference between Rev. Wright,
Obama has been shown up on the stage doing
what Palin is. Not that I've seen, anyway.

baby jesus was in Alaska once and loved the salmon but skipped the moose.

Pass the video around and everyone start putting it up on YouTube. Just flooding the site with thousands of copies of the same video should garner some media attention.

Google/Youtube were rabid in their BBC WTF7 purging eighteen months ago, until they admitted defeat after a week and gave up removing versions going up.

Tim Berners-Lee has finally lost it big time and wants to purge/ censor the interwebs.

We have that new UN initiative that is trying hard to become a standard for IP routing history , pushed very heavily by the Chinese gov and the US NSA which is attempting to make every packet and connection of the interweb traceable back to the origin, pity the whistle blower, pity the political activist of a banned opposition party, pity the human rights observers, pity anybody who criticizes or upsets the wrong person online.
if it becomes default on the web, people will suffer and die for their words and reporting.

That video could use better editing. Much better editing. I guess they were trying to cram a lot in within the confines of youtube's video size constraints?

If these godbags (e.g. like the kids at 6:50) had the same sort of love for their fellow man that they claim to do for god and jeebus, we might have a chance as a species. But instead they're saying "fuck all a'y'all" to us and pledging allegiance to the invisible sky fairy. That's what fear will do to you...

actually youtube has been deleting anything and everything negative towards the republican party......even the SNL Tina Fey as Sarah Palin clip!

We need to spam the hell out of youtube with all the scandals of the Rebuke campaign now......shut them down.

Sounds like it's really their tube to me.... At least it sounds like someone or some group thinks it's their tube.... Look folks, I don't care either way what Palins religous affiliations are particularly... I'm not voting for her to begin with so viral or not.. Appropriate or not.. Lies or truth... It's not an issue for me personally... I got plenty of reason not to vote for her. I don't need to know what she's doing in a church to further inform me. However, what this does bring to mind is.. Who really owns these internet portals and engines and websites and whatnot, and what's it mean to see one thing of a certain type of nature censored while something else of a similar nature is continued to be allowed?? (Wright sermon?).. And as long as I'm going there, where does the telecommunications deregulation act of 90 whatever year it was that trashed the fairness doctrine and allowed for the glut of media consolidation that has occurred in its wake fit into all this shit??...... And finally, is this yet another illustration of why we should, (though 59 million apparently ain't) be totally fed up with republicans and their version of the status quo??................................JD

palin's favorite hymm.....'onward christian soldiers'.....

wow, black nylons in a nice catholic school girl way...can't wait to see that on snl

So, what exactly was deemed 'inappropriate' about this vid?
I watched it and saw a whole bunch of Jesus Freaks acting like they always do.

Religion can't be off the table completely. The difference here is that Obama got called on his church....and he quit. Palin hasn't been called out yet, but if she is, and doesn't denounce her church and quit, she's got a problem. If she believes what these churches are espousing, and will make policy decisions based on those beliefs, then she is a very dangerous person indeed. The voting public needs to know about it.

Jesus.

Those church folk are real movers and shakers.

It's amazing what a good batch of METH will do for the human spirit.

Why can't I freakin email clips anymore??? Anyone care to fill me in???

I know Palin might be a bit nutty overall, but I'd hate to have the churches and other public meetings I have attended over my lifetime brought to light or into question if I was running for office. I figure most people have some sort of embarrassing religious or other affiliation in our closets. I too went to the Pentacostal church for years as a youth (my Grandfather was a Preacher in his own church that he built with his own hands) and I witnessed many episodes of speaking in tongues, and "Holy Rolling." Over the years I attended services in Baptist, Catholic, and other Christian churches, always searching for some sort of clue to enlightenment. Hindu temples were visited, along with Druid services and American Indian pow-wows. Eventually I realized the sheer silliness of all organized religion and bailed completely, only to start attending certain 12-step meetings after the attempted suicide of my estranged wife. All I am saying is, sometimes people attend things on their personal spiritual journey that are not necessarily meant to be shared with the voyeuristic world out there. Just prove her a liar and fake politically and socially and let that be it. By putting these religious zealots on tv and making them look bad, all you do is unite all of them against you.

"actually youtube has been deleting anything and everything negative towards the republican party……even the SNL Tina Fey as Sarah Palin clip!"

Yes, I noticed that, too. There are several YouTube clips that have the lifespan of a doughnut in a police station. They are yanked almost as soon as they're put up. The ones I've noticed are:

1. The clip of Rove saying McCain's ads are over the line. (The master of sleaze calling McCain sleazy. Oh the poetic irony of it all.)

2. The clip of Rove saying Tim Kaine isn't fit to be VP because he's only been Gov. of Virginia for three years (1.5 longer than Palin) and mayor of small town Richmond (30X the size of Wasilla) before that, but that Obama would probably pick him, in spite of his lack of qualifications, for "intensely political reasons."

and

3. The SNL clip of Palin/Clinton.

The SNL clip being yanked is particularly funny, since the Fox News review of the SNL skit is to be found EVERYWHERE on YouTube. That's interesting, since the only part of the skit Fox showed was the part that, taken out of context, makes Palin look good and Clinton look bad.

My conclusion was that, either YouTube is shilling for the Republicans, or (more likely) the Republicans have a whole army of college geeks going around searching for those videos, and flagging them as inappropriate.

I had a grandmother who was a member of the Assembly of God church - when I did my undergraduate work at the University of UTAH she was genuinely concerned for me - she honestly thought Mormons had horns and was just certain they'd steal my soul.

Thankfully she karked it before I came out of the Atheist Closet - I'd have had the pastor of the local church banging on my door.

Do I want one of these folks leading my country? hm. Not so much.

Fundamentalism of ANY sort is not healthy.

Unbelievable. America is filled with these types of churches. We are a nation of voodoo worshipers. This church is no different than bushmen howling at spirits. Incredible footage.

All I can say is be afraid very afraid if this woman makes it to the VP.. I think she is such a fake. A son (Track) is a druggie and the other daughter (Bristol) is a drunk, pot smokin baby maker. Palin has nerve to preach to everyone else.

These 'happy clapper' outfits are all over the world.

But there's only one developed country where someone of this ilk would be considered even remotely electable for a high office.

It's worse than that. The hate-radio jockeys were just accusing Obama of being "unamerican" because he hung out with a Liberation Theologist who occassionally said nasty things about America, and they inferred that Obama might share some of his views.

This goes beyond that. If Palin is an end-timer dominionist, it not only proves she's NUTS (and not simply "unamerican," which is the worst case scenario for Obama), but also might be tempted to PUSH THE BUTTON because she's tired of waiting for the RAPTURE. That is DEFINITELY the kind of thing the voting public should know before putting her in charge of 50 000 "new-clear" warheads.

I don't think unfettered Christianity can ever produce democracy.

Unfettered Islam, OTOH, came the closest out of all pre-Industrial religions to doing so.

And now we allow Conservatives to commit logical fallacies every time they use Islam and fascism as one word. Those two are inherently incompatible.

Whereas the Church, through a lot of faults both of its own and others, ended up being far more hierarchical.

Weird, ain't it?

You cannot have a functional democracy in a place where people put belief before reality, and opinion before truth.

And the media plays into this insanity by always having a representative from both sides, even if it's a faux argument. The scientific community may have a consensus on global warming and evolution, but you wouldn't learn that from the news.

In the modern world, you cannot have an argument about whether evolution or global warming are real. Only in America.

The central reason why this happens in America is because belief in a certain opinion is more important than the facts to back up that opinion. And the reason why belief trumps facts is purely radicalised Christianity.

My god, that video is sickening, and THIS is what John McCain wants to bring into the White House in the person of Sarah Palin?

If Jesus is supposed to be the king of Alaska according to her church, why didn't the state government resign, starting with Sarah Palin?

Cell-phone bliss because Jesus has entered the circuits? Those Alaska people in that video are fringe kooks. And here I thought Southern snake handlers were the fringe religious nuts.

I wonder what you think of Indian tribal religions, here?

If You Tube is going to get into the business of censoring factual information because it doesn't like the facts, if it is going to get into the business of censoring inconvenient truths, it's time for it to go out of business. The censored thought will just find expression elsewhere. Fools. Who owns YouTube and what is their tie to Republican controlled propaganda organs?

I believe a candidate's religion should not be a matter of public concern, IF there would be nothing to be concerned about. One portion of this article puts it very clearly: "If Sarah Palin may hold apocalyptic end-time beliefs or believes that she has a divine mandate to initiate an end-time conflict, American voters have the right to know about the doctrines taught in Palin's Alaska churches."

I don't believe I have any business knowing Palin's personal end-time beliefs. I have my own set and it is nobody's business but mine. However, the part that bothers me and should bother every voter is "...believes that she has a divine mandate to initiate an end-time conflict...."

This is the woman who is talking up taking a hard-line stand against Russia over the Georgian conflict, folks. Do you want her one heartbeat away from the button? I don't. This makes the Rev. Wright's "God damns America" sermon seem absolutely tame in comparison. Every MSM outlet should be on this like flies on manure. But they won't touch it.

Not to defend YouTube or their apparent bias, but I stayed up to see Tina on WU and was disappointed. We got Dave the Lumberjack and Cathy the cartoon character, but not even a cameo of Tina. Aside from the opening sketch, the episode sucked rocks. Not even the musical act was tolerable. And there was no Bob Smeigel bit, either.

I don't know how you could see a Tina Fey from WU 13Sep08 on YouTube, since there wasn't any. At least not on the West Coast replay.

The problem with the third wave Assembly of God loonies and others alike is not that the misinterpret the bible, the “problem” is that they take it literally and choose not to disregard the more unpleasant parts. As the moderate and mannered believers who make excuses for the unpleasant stuff and sort of ignore it and believe in a appropriate and sufficient way, sort of not really believe in superstition, maybe just a little, enough to toss the scripture nonsense on the kitchen midden.

This is especially true of dominionist sects like the one to which Palin belongs, which would impose their will and version of Christianity on all others, by force of arms if circumstances "required" it (see: Joel's Army). People like Palin can justify any act, simply by telling themselves they are doing God's work. They can and do routinely violate the law and the requirements and duties of office by claiming that they are abiding by a higher law. There is no crime or atrocity that cannot be excused by such thinking. It is a form of insanity that makes them qualitatively identical to the Taliban or to Jim Jones and the like. We would have to be insane to allow them access to the riens of power.

YouTube needs to be called on the carpet for this.

there's a huge difference between the views of a particular preacher in a denomination, and the worldview of a denomination as a whole. obama's denomination (united church of christ) is mainstream, with local variation left and right. i happen to know this firsthand. palin's church, on the other hand, and many of the fundamentalists, are extremists. they are fundamentally fatalistic, believing in a deterministic world, where humans play a passive role, and must submit to the "will of god" as they believe it to be. believe me, you don't want that kind of worldview running your country.

Heck, I respect ANY religion that a) doesn't try to push its tenets on me; b) doesn't try to inflict its beliefs on our wonderfully secular government; and c) is nonviolent.

In all 3 respects, Christianity fails miserably. Christianity, regardless of color, is THE most savage religion.

Shit...

that means I get thrown there, too.

Because, no Christian can ever have free will, we're all mindless automatons of Jesus bound to crush people the way the USSR failed to.

It saddens me to think that you'd probably sentence me to be burned in pitch to light the streets at night the way Nero Augustus did to the Christians then, because you'd never let me speak in real life. I'm automatically banded in with the darkness, even though I am not of it (SoBap, for reference...)

You know what is most ironic? If Jesus came back today, it would inevitablynot be in a way that fullfilled their literal expectations, and as soon as the returned Jesus figure became known, they would be slitting each others throats for the honor of being the one who got to nail his ass back on the cross. Their persecution and condemnation would begin at about the time that the new Jesus made it known that he wanted nothing to do with what they stood for. Just a hunch.

Read carefully - I don't disagree with you! What I was trying to point out is there is a big difference in simply believing in an end-time scenario and believing that you play a part in that scenario. Big. Difference.

I don't want any person arrogant enough to believe they were appointed by God to push that button for Him. This is where the line is crossed and an individual's beliefs need to be public knowledge.

Now there's a state in serious regression. Anyone who accuses the left of being mentally unstable should be forced to explain these.

What other religion on this country is so determined to take over the government and force their beliefs on everyone?

Mindless automatons of Jesus? No, because if these wackos TRULY tried to emulate Jesus, they'd have to do a complete 180; you know, they'd have to treat others with respect, be tolerant and loving of others, and give away their fortunes to those in poverty or in dire straits. And the media plays into this insanity by always having a representative from both sides, even if it's a faux argument. The scientific community may have a consensus on global warming and evolution, but you wouldn't learn that from the news.

In the modern world, you cannot have an argument about whether evolution or global warming are real. Only in America.

No, the reason belief trumps facts is that learning the facts is hard.

Belief is intellectually easier. And to make religion a sign of societal illness...

Learning the facts shouldn't be hard. They aren't in other countries. The reason why learning the facts is harder in the U.S. is because you have religious fanatics fighting the truth being taught in schools and you have the media pandering to the religious fanatics by treating their opinions as if they're equally relevant to the facts.

I currently live abroad, and you wouldn't hear a politician of either major party utter the words "global warming is a hoax." Much less something like "Intelligent design should be taught side-by-side with evolution." They'd be laughed out of the room.

And yes, America has an illness. No other modern Western country has the widespread religious fanaticism of the U.S. And if you're serious about combatting radical religious fanatics, the worst way to do that is by being more fanatical than them, just with another religion.

tyree @ 2:

we could be looking at potential problems here

Ya think???!

Well, if YouTube won't allow it, put it on Funnyordie.com

Although this is probably the scariest video I've ever seen (especially considering Sarah Palin is potentially seven weeks away from becoming a heartbeat away from the nuclear codes), at least Will Ferrell at Funnyordie.com won't take it down. It will get millions of views there ("The Landlord" got almost 60 million hits).

This video needs a home where everyone in this country can view it before they vote.

John McCain and Sarah Palin are a danger to our country. McCain because he was stupid enough to choose her and she because of what she says on this video and the people with whom she is associating. She cannot POSSIBLY understand the meaning of separation of church and state. It is a virtual impossibility.

...and we call Muslims "Religious Extremists". These people are far more scary.

Friends, this is the rock and roll demon your parents warned you about! If I get to pick which of the young fellas puts their hands on me, I'm in.

Now this is getting more than just unbelievable, this is downright frightening. These people have the same make-up as the Jim Jones Kool-Aid drinkers. Spread the video to as many people as possible. If this wacko gets in we are doomed.

i have strong respect for people who have formidable religious
beliefs, but only for those who don't force their beliefs on anyone
who don't threaten those of other faiths. this group in alaska
is a cult and not a religion. it is to be carefully watched.
these kinds of cults have a long history of destroying
both their own followers and anyone who refuses them.

This Link will allow you to lodge a complaint. I'd wonder if loding a complaint about the removal of this along with a reference to this video. Youtube, whether we like it or not, is dead center in the campaign this time around. They have to be held accountable!

The only thing that may be inappropriate about this video is it links Palin to a group of Religious extremists.

Is this what YouTube doesn't want people to find out?.................are they also part of the problem MSM?

Palin can run but she can't hide.............even with the Korporate media's help.

She has to face Biden in a debate very soon and based on the inflammatory and racist campaign that the Retardlicans are running I think that Biden should have some tough questions to challenge her with!

Palin has been engaged in all of the "bad behaviors" that she now admonishes Washington and especially the Dems for. It's almost laughable ........ You can see the Rovian direction behind her mantra.

Tell the lie, The Korporate media will do the rest!
Even if the lie is debunked at least it's out there and distracts from the real issues. (We got nuthin')
Repeat the lie enough times and many of the sheeple will buy it!

Obama/Biden should at every public opportunity Call them on their lies and not make the mistake of being above the fray. Ask Al Gore and John Kerry how that strategy worked for them.

This information should not have been pulled...People should be aware of exactly what beliefs our potential presidential staff hold. It's a basic right of freedom of speech for a documentary to be posted to YouTube, which has a huge variety of videos going up every day. Why not ones related to the election? Or at the very least, for a basic understanding of what this "Third Wave" actually is.

to be fair, nbc demanded that the clip be taken down

as is how they differentiate hate speech from legit political speech

the entire abc palin interview is up on youtube....fair use

the snl clip pulled....copyright law

why the above doc was pulled, i have no clue

there is really no commentary...just clips of the different assembly of god churches, including wasilla

and i dont believe these people are crazy or evil

the evangelical preachers learned way back in the 20s that you bring in a crowd and keep them there by creating a show

some of the best showmen of all time have been evangelicals (marjoe, billy graham)

the pentecostals take it one step further and really get the audience into the act

its the simple power of persuasion and group think that you see going on, on the vid...the same thing occurs at stage hypnotist shows....and the chasidic sects of judaism use the same methods

sure, they arent really being filled with the spirit of god...they are getting high by the increase of adreniline and other hormones that provide them a sense of euphoria

and look, all of that would be well and good...if it stayed in the church, their family and their community

but now you know why palin said she didnt blink when mccain offered her the vp post...you know why she can lie with impunity about basically everything

she believes that she is on a mission from god

and that is what is scary

Sometimes it is embarrassing to be human. These people need to stop taking drugs.

"As a christian, what I find offensive is that they dare call this Christianity…looks more like a pagan festival…or the Burning Man festival…where were the snake handlers or people spitting fire?"

So Truman, is it just the outlandish activity that you find offensive? Do you share the same ideals, i.e. the U.S. should be converted to a Christian theocracy, all non-Christians are going to "hell" and George Bush is a righteous person?

One of the reasons people came to "the New World" was to escape religious persecution. (Of course, in the case of many, i.e. the Puritans, once they got here, they persecuted others. See: Roger Williams/Rhode Island/ religious freedom.)

The fouding fathers despised being forced to have a state religion (the Church of England) hence the separation of church and state in the Consitution. Didn't the evangelical movement give birth to mega churches?

I don't know if we should be thankful for that.

I know people feel the need to be politically correct, but the fact is; ALL religion is a scam. But if people want to follow a religion, I'm okay with it... BUT, all those people who want the world to end? I don't like or trust them one bit. After all, why should I respect someone who wants everyone to die in horrible torment?

How sick is that?

In primitive cultures, religion was an important (although abused) tool to rally groups of people together. It was also a way of 'explaining' how the world worked. 'Why did so and so die of a disease? God must have punished him!'

In today's society, to believe in such primitive myths is rather dangerous. From what I've seen in this video, the worshipers don't really like the world around them, and want nothing to do with it. I also hear that Palin believes in The Rapture.

I don't want her ANYWHERE near the White house. The last thing we need is a nut who wants the world end in charge of our nuclear arsenal.

I have nothing wrong with that, to each his own, but keep it out of our secular government and especially foreign relations. I have serious doubts governor Palin can do that.

'God' can't be a prick, if he's fictional. That's like calling Santa Claus a scumbag.

Aside from all that... it's the who 'I want the world to end' thing that really gets me about crazy cults like that. To want world destruction, just for the honor of being in the presence of an invisible man? How does that make sense?

It's insane.

Outrageously, dangerously, sadistic, malicious, and INSANE.

Almost forgot. Google and You Tube have been trying to censor Fabled Enemies too. The latest 911 documentary from Infowars. I watched it and it helped to tie up a few loose ends for me for sure. I would recommend it to anyone . Really delves into how the White House and Pentagon colluded to keep the Able Danger probe down. They even have video of Brit Hume fuming over the Able Danger coverup. I was shocked i tell ya.. Brit Hume ?

Only 30% of the people in Norway could find Switzerland on the map. Bullshit on other countries being smarter than we are.

Where did you get that statistic?

A comparative study in the Beeb.

And that 30% was the highest number of any country surveyed.

I hate repeating myself, where is the source of that number? So I can actually read the study....

Jewtube loves McCain, they delete all the good stuff

What a bunch of nutjobs, seriously. I think they've been drinking some woohoo for way too many years.

I agree. It's scary that Christians hold so tightly to the rantings of a delusional old man (John) when they believe - and actually look forward to - the end of the world according to the book of Revelation.

The Jews of the world issue you a collective: Fuck you and the horse you rode in on, for dissing their scriptures.

If you want to diss the Bible, diss the Christian portion. If you want to diss on the Jews, diss Tanach. The two are not a hard-fast dichotomy.

You are a bit full of yourself, aren't you?

You are not only the authority on everything, you also get to speak in the name of a whole group of people... So much awesomeness must be hard waking up in the morning sometimes, eh?

I can appreciate the Jews' bluntness! But ANY religious book that is so violent and has a Supreme Being one must live in fear of is bullshit.

Let's look at Leviticus. Apparently, homosexuality is an abomination. But so is eating organisms that "creep" along the ocean floor. So how come it's OK for these rightwingers to rail against gays, while havnig a nice dinner of shrimp? Hypocrisy!

And all that "smiting" and vengeful crap good ol' God did in his anger? I guess he's not perfect after all, since he can't control his emotions.

I'm not "dissing" (pet peeve alert: when did "dis" become a word, or "disrespect" become a verb?) Jews or anybody in particular, just all hypocrites who oppose those things their own God did, but give him a pass because he's "God" and can do what he wants.

A few choice phrases highlighted, and I thought it was Norway, but it was Sweden. All those damned Vikings look alike:

Topping the scoring was Sweden, with an average of 40, followed by Germany and Italy, each with 38. None of the countries got an "A," which required average scores of 42 correct answers or better on the 56 questions.

• Only 71 percent of the surveyed Americans could locate on the map the Pacific Ocean, the world's largest body of water. Worldwide, three in 10 of those surveyed could not correctly locate the Pacific Ocean

Mexico ranked last with an average score of 21, just three points from a failing grade.

Ah, I just love the smell of human stupidity in the evening.

"Ewwwww, group masturbation"
What's wrong with group masturbation - the laughter church sounded kind of fun to me. Get high as a kite without drugs.

" ‘God’ can’t be a prick, if he’s fictional. That’s like calling Santa Claus a scumbag."

*Ahem* So what would YOU call a man in a red suit who ..... comes down people's chimneys once a year and leaves a "present?"

Pretty scummy, I'd say....

God's actions in Tanach trouble me as a Christian. Jews tend to allegorize them. I wish Christians would follow suit from the authors of the damn books.

And for the record, God's a dick in the Bible. Few deities worshiped anywhere are not dicks. Just look at Indra or the dark god of the Tsalagi.

So, yes, it is a bit of a bore being so awesome. It just bothers me that somewhere there's someone more awesome than me out there.

I dunno, the lingam seems rather fun to worship.

I just went to Youtube and searched for "church Palin" and got this:

“church Palin” video results 1 - 20 of about 1,060

That's right. Over a thousand films and the few I checked are just like the ones above.

So I don't think Youtube removed the videos.

What happens is this: When a ReTHUGlican sees the video, he sends a message to Youtube saying it's pornography. YouTube pulls the flick until they get complaints from the poster saying it's NOT TRUE.

YouTube WILL repost the film, but this method keeps the film off the site for at least a week or 10 days. There is an ARMY of Republicans shutting down information at YouTube and elsewhere this way. We need to stay on top of them and call THEIR films PORNO the same way, then re post the films we like over and over again.

It is a war out there and we HAVE to win it.

I've thought of something like that too. YouTube is likely terrified of lawsuits, given the kind of site they operate, and people's tendencies to libel, violate copyright, and be obscene.

They just might have a policy upon complaints to presume guilt, remove the video, and then wait and see.

And the Republican Party is exactly the kind of political machine that would abuse such a policy.

The General is right by saying the Tenach and the NT are "not a hard-fast dichotomy". There are some Christians who do believe in following the laws given in the Tenach and, as the Jews do, view God's actions accounted there allegorically.

Where mainstream Christianity has gotten things wrong is fixating on a few actions they think, for some reason, are more abominable in God's eyes. The truth is that all sins are equal in God's view. You are right, eating shrimp is every bit the sin as being gay. Telling a lie is an equal sin to being gay. Judging others on their sins and ignoring your own is as big a sin as all the rest. These Christians go to church on Sunday? Sin! The Sabbath day is Saturday and hasn't changed if you claim to believe what is written. Christmas and Easter? Man's additions that include pagan traditions.

The problem with most of professing Christianity is they've built a comfortable little bubble for themselves, excluded what they don't like so they won't have to deal and spend most of their time finger-pointing at the sins of others. They're using their religion as a shield so they won't have to think about the world, science, politics, or even the theological basis of their own beliefs. They are so busy thinking about all of the sinners around them who they think are going to burn in hell that they can't even see their own hypocrisy. And their arrogance knows no bounds.

Guess that means I can (and will) flag EVERY SINGLE Wright vid I see as well...

"Inappropriate content"? Damn straight. That's the scariest thing I've seen in a long time. And a congregant from this "church" could be our VP and most likely PRESIDENT? I'm outta here if that happens. This is truly scary shit.

Looks like Charedis are joining in on the fun in fundamentalism:

Shit on a shingle...

Some noteworthy quotes:

The gang allegedly gagged her, hit her, kicked her and said she would be killed if she did not move out of the ultra-Orthodox Maalot Dafna neighbourhood.

n June, a 14-year-old Mea Sharim resident was taken to hospital with burns after an attacker hurled acid at her.

Israeli media said that at the time of the attack the girl had been wearing loose-fitting trousers and a short-sleeved shirt, enough to provoke the ire of religious fanatics.

Dammit, the Jews are supposed to be the nice Abrahamic religious folk. Why did they think cribbing from their bigger brothers was a good idea?

Scott@3

Now that very big of you Scott, but the problem is that the damage already has been done as far as linking Obama to Wright. Now, you think things have to be fair when it comes to the republicans? Are you serious? And the Wright videos can just stay put because.....?
