I can't believe this cretin is currently locked away in a basement someplace with Steve Biegun and a set of flashcards trying to memorize the names of foreign leaders in time for the debate with Biden, and will probably pull it off.
Actually, the best part of the Hannity/Palin infomercial (the greatest thing since Dianetics and miracle car wax) was all of those bobble head shots of the fawning Hannity, nodding in admiration of the next great Republican stateswoman. And is it just me, or does Shawn Hannity remind you of a less smart and more shrill version of Lou Costello? Just tell me this doesn't look like an episode of Hannity and Colmes?
If she really wants to win, Palin is going to have to show a lot more leg and some serious cleavage.

From here on out, we gotta assume that any time Palin is interviewed by anyone on Fox, or by Limbaugh, etc., the conversation will be at least loosely scripted.
Does anyone doubt not only that Hannity lobbed softballs, but that Palin was given the questions ahead of time, and set about memorizing general responses?

You're partly right, but there's a huge difference between a five minute satellite link segment on Olbermann's own show, versus a two hour infomercial that constituted Fox's "official" Palin interview. When MSNBC puts on a two hour slash fan fiction segment of Olbermann and Obama french kissing on a velvet futon, and claims it was their official Obama interview, then you can claim moral equivalence.

Did the hannity/palin interview get much coverage other than KO and the comedy channel? Oh, I forgot....probably got a lot of coverage on Fox because I flipped on BillO the Clown the other night, and he was replaying some of it.

Yeah, but you know no matter how much velvet Biden uses to soften the pummeling he does of Palin, the Howie Kurtzes of the world will say he was "harsh" and that Palin held up well under such "adverse conditions," and that because she memorized enough foreign leaders' names and didn't crap herself and run crying back to Todd, the debate will be judged a wash.
No one will ask about her repeated lies on the bridge to nowhere, nor how insane it is to claim foreign policy experience because Alaska is near Russia, nor how stupid it is to claim that a refueling stop in Ireland actually qualifies as a visit to that country, nor why she suddenly wants to ignore the subpoenas in Alaska.
All that stuff will be off the table because the American media, with a few notable exceptions, are a bunch of pussies.
If only the European media could get their hands on both her and McCain and ask them the pointed questions that our own media is too timid to ask.
If McCain gets elected, Palin will be nothing more than a figurehead when John finally bites the dust, controlled by neocons and theocons. Jehovah, Allah, Buddha, and/or Vishnu save us all.

I don't understand. In his interview with Obama, when Obama referred to Hannity, O'Reilly corrected him and said "Hannity is a commentator"........how can Palin have a interview with Hannity?

There were no talking points in the Obama interview by Keith. On the other hand, Palin probably couldn't have gotten through the interview without the obvious verbal clues that she shameless repeated. It was like the Gibson interview without the deer in the headlights look displayed by Palin. I wouldn't doubt if both used teleprompters to get them through. She just didn't have to make up another lie like she did in her acceptance speech!
A co-worker today said that McCain/Palin was a good ticket because "they'll surround themselves with smart people". I reminded him that was the same argument many of us (me included) used when we voted for Bush. I figured it out and realized my mistake, but some of these fools still don't get it.

Seriously, what has happened to journalism? I live in Australia now, and it doesn't matter who the politician is, from an opposition backbencher to the Prime Minister, they get grilled, and on a daily basis, not in a one-time exclusive. They certainly work their spin and their talking points, but they are never let easily off the hook and have to be prepared for anything.

The point is, Keith Olbermann never talks to anyone he disagrees with, nor does he care to. He has absolutely no room to talk about Hannity here; it's hard to imagine him conducting an interview with either Dem candidate any differently. In fact, I can't recall one tough, hard-hitting interview he's ever given to a Democrat. Even with Hillary Clinton, who he despises, he was less hard-hitting than the Hannity/Palin interview. Olbermann is hypocrisy defined.
