funny as hell.....and true

Dear Citizen:
Are you ready yet for the November 4th Elections? How about your friends, family, and neighbors?
More Americans are expected to vote this year than ever before in history, so don’t be left out! Be sure to ask everyone you know the following questions:
 Are you registered to vote? If you moved recently, have you updated your voter registration?
 Did you apply for an Absentee Ballot? Do you know your state may not require any reason?
 Can you find your local Polling Place? Do you know it may have changed from last time?
The answers to these questions -- and all your voting needs -- can be found at www.StateDemocracy.org -- the FREE 1-Stop citizen empowerment portal that Delivers Democracy to your Desktop! StateDemocracy is among the Internet’s first (since 2001) and most encompassing civic empowerment tools.
In order to boost voter participation this year, StateDemocracy.org is offering FREE widgets for all 50 states. You can simply download and embed these widgets into your own website so your visitors can register to vote, get an absentee ballot or find their local polling place.
Lobby Congress Via StateDemocracy
StateDemocracy.org also equips you to maintain an active dialog with your state and federal lawmakers once they are elected. And RIGHT NOW is an especially opportune time to contact your U.S. Senators and House Member, as Congress takes up major legislation on such issues as offshore oil drilling, another economic stimulus package and all federal appropriations bills over the next few weeks.
As you lobby your elected officials, remember that lawmakers view your constituent input as reflective of scores of other citizens who felt similarly, but didn’t have (or take) the time to share their opinions.
LobbyDelegates.com Further Empowered Grassroots Voices
Over the past 5 months, you may have visited www.LobbyDelegates.com, along with 26,000 other visitors. This latest public interest portal by the StateDemocracy Foundation remained the only online tool enabling rank-and-file Democrats to lobby all 800+ Super Delegates on which candidate to back for the party’s Presidential nomination.
StateDemocracy Foundation Website Users Unite!
Many of you have used our StateDemocracy.org and LobbyDelegates.com tools in recent times, and have hopefully found your experience uplifting and empowering. Economist Asks Why Cindy McCain Can’t Bail Out Wall St.

This jerkoff looks like a white supremacist nazi.

Everything about McCain's campaign is screwed up, from him to Palin, to lobbyists, to neocons, to these Nixonian attacks on the press.

God help us all if McCain wins this thing.

Cash for Trash.

The 700 Billion or is it a Trillion dollar bailout brought to you by the same people who brought you the 'War' in Iraq.

What is wrong with this picture?

Calling the MSM to bring up Keating 5 . I sent some stern emails to these wussy bastards (even sent one to FoxNews which will surely go to Cavuto's recycle bin).
Quit giving McCain a freeride on this.

A small question: has anyone heard that Palin is meeting with Kissinger and other foreign leaders?

In this election cycle the unbelievable has happened, for sure. But this shows that the neo-cons are trying to legitimize Gov. Hockey Mom. And it's sickening.

It's disgusting isn't it? It's essentially 50/50 on the presidency right now. It should be at least 70/30 .

Call it like it is man. The time to "be nice" is when you've already won.

Conehead.

Among my top ten differences between progressives and conservatives is:

*Progressives believe in facts.

*Conservatives believe that anything that is not explicitly in their favor is biased against them.

I think this is a perfect example.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

the msm is just toying with us. they are setting up Obama for a blitz. All this supposed newfound fact-based 'reporting' will dissappear in two weeks. the last 4 weeks will find the media making a whole "look! Shiny object!' stories interspersed with attacks on Obama, there will be Arrogance, Rage, Anger, and a whole host of code words. the media blackout on biden goes unnoticed even now.

In a parallel universe, a scandal like that would sink a Presidential run. But thanks to Bush, stuff like the Keating 5 is desensitized in the press.

I still say, we've got to end this numbness in the press and turn up the fire on McPOW and his cohorts. I thank KO for talking about this, but this has to catch fire because he can't get away with this. He simply can't.

#5, The Very Bitter Ceci Hussein....

Yeah, I saw this earlier today. Disgusting as hell. I'm sure there will be lots of photo ops that McCain's camp will use to "prove" her foreign policy experience. This is such a f'n joke. If it weren't for my family and friends, I'd probably move to Europe if McCain and Palin win. Maybe I'd do that anyway.

Heh, and the antitextual expansion of eminent domain was brought to us by the Court's "liberal" wing, over the vehement objections of the RATS.

Let's just face, Gov. Hockey Mom is an imposter of the worst degree. And if people fall in love with her glasses and their ability to be a "mother", then they are setting the rest of us for that long ride to hell in a handbasket.

Kissinger is questionable in his own right, but no person of good standing would give this woman a proper footing on the world stage. They can't. She doesn't deserve to be there because she is a credible threat to the stability of our country, nationally and internationally.

From the Bush lie article: After seven years of criticizing the U.N. for its huge, costly bureaucracy and indecisiveness in the face of grave problems, Bush will make his final address to the General Assembly on Tuesday. His speech, scheduled to last 15 minutes, was to stress the need for multinational diplomacy .

That would be damned funny if we weren't so seriously fucked.

You Lousy facts!!! (shakes his fist in the air) TTTTTIIIIIIMMMMMMMMEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!

If you want a laugh, Google Earth has a newish feature called 'Street View',
basically the USA and various other countries have 360' photos taken every 10m or so along major and minor roads.
Patchy major cities and other places dominate.

Its pretty amazing and you can just use your mouse to look around, then click to the next visible camera icon in the pic to teleport etc.

Google blurs out number plates of close cars and faces that are too identifiable, plus certain advertizing slogans names etc.
One hilarious thing I found looking around the streets of St' Malo, was that some young prudish intern at Google TRIED to blur out a sign pointing to a public WC, they failed and the sign sized shaped blur is below the sign.

They must have a fish eyed cameras with a 180' lenses on a vehicle, and use software routine in GE to give the VR landscape.
very trick software, works very well, and worth a play with if get bored.

very funny

The fact that they may steal this election scares the hell out of me. There could be a revolution.

I think they just don't want to let pollsters know who they favor. To many, their vote is a private matter as it should be with all of us.

StirFry @ 56:

This campaign has been going for two years now and I can't believe there is a 10% that are undecided. Do these people live in caves?

Undecided means many things when said to a pollster:

I don't care;

Whatever, just stop calling me;

I don't pay attention to any of this, but I'll just say undecided to sound like I'm actually trying to make up my mind;

I'm voting against Obama because he's black, but I'll not get caught saying that to you as this poll goes on.

Etc.

I believe in the Second Amendment, but this is over the fuckin' top even for the NRA.

You want to know what kind of America we'd have under Sarah Palin?

Check out El Salvador. They have a zero-tolerance policy towards abortion. It's criminalized.

Women who go to the hospital have their private areas checked. If there is evidence of a backroom abortion, you're arrested, examined by police, charged and convicted. Women are serving 30-year prison sentences in El Salvador for having abortions. No exceptions exist for rape or incest. Birth control is also frowned upon and declared a sin by the religious leadership. Abstinence-only sex ed, needless to say, is the norm.

Who the hell knows how far she and her fellow ruthless, extremist Republicanite brethren (including her own personal Dick Cheney, Todd Palin) would take their twisted fantasies, were they to take power?

I did watch this, and yes, even after the 9/11 commission that this man is up to no good. And for Gov. Hockey Mom to be "educated" by this man, this only adds to the fact that this woman does not deserve to be in the WH.

At last, the unvarnished truth:

I think I see the bald-headed dude's problem. He's got the word "attack" confused with the word "exposed". I'm sure if someone politely corrected him he'd calm right down.

I took a Gallup presidential poll last week (in Texas). They've called me twice with the same poll after that. Each time I told them I already took the poll. They said sorry and hung up. My neighbor said it happened to her as well. If we're freeper bastard I would taken it again and again. I find this very odd.

Stevie Spielberg also rallies against Prop 8. Biden thinks the National Guard should get more representation in the Armed Forces, for some reason.

Chris Rock was good tonight. I caught half of Bill's interview and I listen to him speak every chance I get, he's truly a man who is capable of speaking credibly on most any issue, listening to him tout Obama, and then Biden, its clear he, like Hillary, are big fans of Joe, but about Barack himself, it just seems, not so much. I dont know.

Chris Rock on Sarah Palin: "She's shooting moose from Helicopters, and Michael Vick is saying "What the hell am I in jail for?"

The McPalin Difference

It's not funny 'cos it's true.

Chris Rock was good. Especially to point out that Barack Obama is the candidate. I liked when he said the Patriots got a lot of points, but they lost too. That was funny.

Just for a laugh... I got the following "WHY I'M VOTING DEMOCTRAT" E-MAIL from an ex-friend of mine who is working for an oil company on the NORTH SLOPE OF ALASKA.

(My responses follow each of his "articles" in parenthesis:)

Hey, Cowboy,

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

(People who don't vote Democrat seem to think that government should be SMALL and FREE. Government is necessary... and must be paid for. It's the Republicans who think they can go to war without raising taxes... and are just fine with running up a debt of BILLIONS... carried largely by CHINA. Do you think this is FUNNY?)

I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

(Republicans are ALWAYS offended by Freedom of Speech. Mostly, I think that's because Republicans are offended by Freedom of Thought. Thou shalt not display individuality. Thou shalt not tolerate shades of gray. Thou shalt not resist your leaders. Thou shalt not protest outside of our designated Freedom of Speech Zones. thou shalt not stray from the Party talking points. Thou shalt not drink the other guy's Kool Aid. Thou shalt fall in line... or thou shalt be designated as UN-PATRIOTIC.)

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

(No, REALLY... when we pull out of Iraq, the Iraqis will simply go back to doing WHAT THEY HAVE ALWAYS DONE... which is HATE AND KILL EACH OTHER. WE have created such chaos in that country that NOBODY really knows WHAT will happen when we leave. We now have an army of over ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND SOLDIERS who are STUCK in that country with no exit strategy... and no mission except NOT to get bombed to death or shot in the back. This is SICK AND CRAZY at the same time. It's Bush and Cheney's fault... and they desparately want to pass the whole boondoggle on to the next president (no matter which party) so they can run away as fast as possible from the responsibility of their WAR CRIMES.)

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

(If you can still be so callous and in such denial over MAN-MADE GLOBAL WARMING... there is no hope for you. If you would PROMISE to read it... I would be glad to give you a free subscription to Scientific American... or WIRED... or SMITHSONIAN... or National Geographic... or maybe a FREE library card for your local public library. OPEN YOUR EYES, MAN. We are facing disaster... and you make a rude joke about the type of car I drive.)

I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

(Fetuses ARE NOT BABIES. Fetuses are fetuses. It's a medical term. Abortion terminates fetuses... it does NOT KILL BABIES. This is a LIE thru the use of language... for purely political and religious purposes. Babies are warm and cuddly, and poop in diapers, and cry when they are hungry, and make you feel good when you hold them. Abortion DOES NOT KILL BABIES. Isn't it interesting that Sarah Palin lauded THE CHOICE she was able to make regarding her Down Syndrome pregnancy... and THE CHOICE she was able to make for her seventeen year old daughter regarding her pregnancy (and shot-gun engagement to a reluctant dad.) She just wants to take away that FREEDOM OF CHOICE from other women. Human life is NOT SACRED. Human life is overly abundant, and tenacious, and readily expendable depending where you chose to focus your looking glass. I am not interested in keeping all death row inmates alive. I am only interested in keeping alive THOSE WHO ARE INNOCENT of the crimes for which they were prosecuted and convicted.)

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit.

(This is such a ridiculous statement I can't even respond intelligently to it... see recent headlines regarding Bush's 700 Billion Dollar Wall Street Bailout... WITHOUT OVERSIGHT.)

I'm voting Democrat because I believe three or four pointy headed elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

(You must be talking about the pointy-headed liberals who FREED THE SLAVES... or ENDED FORCED CHILD LABOR... or GRANTED WOMEN THE RIGHT TO VOTE... or WANT TO GRANT HOMOSEXUALS THE RIGHT TO GET MARRIED... or...MAKE IT ILLEGAL FOR CRIMINALS TO POSSESS ASSAULT RIFLES... do you mean THOSE liberals?)

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that when the terrorists don't have to hide from us over there, they'll come over here, and I don't want to have any guns in the house to shoot them with.

(Now, see, you got this talking point wrong. You are supposed to say "they hate us for our freedoms..." which is juvenile and absurd. THEY HATE US because we occupy their lands, and steal their natural resources, soil their holy ground, and offend their religious sensibilities. I really don't believe Democrats are going to take away our guns. We only want to make it harder for criminals to posess assault weapons. That other thing is a LIE perpetrated by arms merchants and war profiteers so they can sell more AK47s... or give them to Iraqi insurgents)

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that there are three distinct branches of government and judges should legislate from the bench.

(So you don't think that when the Supremes stopped the legal counting of votes in Florida in 2000... that they were not "legislating from the bench..." and APPOINTING a candidate who DID NOT WIN THE POPULAR VOTE??? And What?? You don't believe in three distinct branches of government? Oh, I get it. You believe in Cheney's idea of the IMPERIAL presidency.)

I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

(You Republicans come up with THE WEIRDEST sexual depravities! First Congressional interns... then homosexual trysts in Minneapolis airport bathrooms... now HORSES??)

I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

(Yup... TWELVE BILLION DOLLARS in one quarter? Obscene for sure.)

Makes ya wonder why anyone would EVER vote Republican, now doesn't it?

(Yea... especially with my adjustments. I agree completely. Thanks, for this little excercise. Think I'll send it around... and see what some of my LIBERAL friends think of your BONE HEADED assessments of Democratic voters. Do you still wonder why Americans are finally getting tired of McBush's "Constant Campaign" and KKKarl's "...only way to win is to go negative" approach to modern politics for McCain. Of course I don't think I'll send your address along with my distribution. I wouldn't want to open any of them up to the sour flavor of your KOOL AID.)

I took a Gallup presidential poll last week (in Texas). They've called me twice with the same poll after that. Each time I told them I already took the poll. They said sorry and hung up. My neighbor said it happened to her as well. If we're freeper bastard I would taken it again and again. I find this very odd.

Maybe that's how they get the numbers they want to report. Call the same people over and over again.

That's what I think as well.

Prescott Bush owned shares in the Silesian American Coal Company, located at Auschwitz. Originally Auschwitz was in Poland, but Hitler siezed this part of Poland in 1939, because the coal and minerals there were vital to his war machine.

Prisoners at the Auschwitz Concentration Camps worked in Prescott Bush's coal mines, and in the coal gasification project run by EG Farben (Bayer), the same company that supplied the ZyKlon-B gas pellets for the gas chambers at the Auschwitz Death Camp, just up the road from the Auschwitz Labor Camp.

In 1942 the US Govt seized Prescott Bush's shares, and in 1950 cut him & his partner $1.5 million in return (that's 1950 dollars) and Prescott used the money to finance his political career.

I don't know whether it's in the Bush DNA or their "upbringing" but they (and their cohorts) are ruthless conscienceless vampires, leeches who trade human suffering for profit.

The American Fascists won World War Two.

64 Niko Griffin Says: You want to know what kind of America we’d have under Sarah Palin?

Check out El Salvador. They have a zero-tolerance policy towards abortion. It’s criminalized.

Women who go to the hospital have their private areas checked. If there is evidence of a backroom abortion, you’re arrested, examined by police, charged and convicted.

Yes, that's correct. He's a horrible man; a criminal of the worst sort. The fact that Palin is meeting with him, in particular, says nothing good. Army Unit to Deploy in October for Domestic Operations -

Beginning in October, the Army plans to station an active unit inside the United States for the first time to serve as an on-call federal response in times of emergency. The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent thirty-five of the last sixty months in Iraq, but now the unit is training for domestic operations. The unit will soon be under the day-to-day control of US Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command.

The soldiers are learning to use so-called nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals and crowds.

http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/army_homeland_090708w/

Funny as hell, and well deserved.

He refers twice to a lack of "symmetry" between the sides of the campaign coverage. This I think is symptomatic of a pervasive misconception of what unbiased means. Fox's "fair and balanced" exemplifies and exploits this misconception. Balanced coverage is merely a cheap approximation of unbiased coverage. The McCain campaign's tactics are out of balance with the Obama campaign's tactics. McCain lies his ass off where Obama's transgressions are more a matter of spin. If the coverage is to be unbiased it must be unbalanced because of the imbalance in the candidates and their campaigns. By demanding "symmetrical" coverage the McCain campaign is trying to force the media to react against minor Obama infractions in the same way that they appropriately react to McCain's flagrant lies.

I wrote about this back in 2004, I wish somebody with a real audience would point this out...

It's probably for the possibility of Martial Law. Presidential Directive 51 gives him that prerogative. It could be in anticipation of a possible false flag terrorist attack. Posse Comitatus or whatever you call it was overturned I think in the Patriot Act or Military Commissions Fucking Act. Who knows what these bastards have planned. Everyone should educate themselves and others on the so called Conspiracy Theory movement in this country and get on board with a proper defense against this bullshit. Hopefully you know all this. A Police State could be right around the corner. All the legislation is set up for it. Many people from mainstream to alternative have spoken about the possibilities of it. Mark Crispin Miller came on this very blog and talked extensively about the threat of a police state, yet too many Americans are hesitant to delve into what their peers might consider to be topics too close to the conspiracy taboo. Wake the fuck up and grow some balls if you want my opinion. Let Freedom Ring. And thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Chris Dodd has some excellent ideas here:

So yeah, the Dodd plan. Good plan. Buying up mortgages for 15% less than the current market value of the house, then reissuing a clean mortgage to homeowners helps the banks while still giving them a slight haircut (but only slight, odds are home prices will drop more than 15% before the slide is over.) It helps homeowners stay in their houses. It sets a market price so that banks know what mortgages are worth and thus what the derivatives based on houses are worth. And giving the mortgages bought to the FDIC, one of the few agencies that Bush didn't cripple, is genius.

Giving the government stock equal to the value of any bailout for the company is also only fair. If they get bailed out, taxpayers should have a chance to get their money back. If they don't like that, well, beggars, and they are beggars, shouldn't be choosers.

Having a review board is a good idea, though having the Treasury Secretary, Fed Chairman and FDIC chief on it is perhaps unwise. Still Congress chooses two of the members. I'd prefer direct oversight through the Congressional Budget Office, which reports directly to Congress, but this isn't too bad.

Clawing back compensation based on fraudulent financial reporting is a stroke of genius and may be what Dodd put in so that he could eventually trade it for something else, because fact is, almost all of these bastards have used dubious accounting to inflate their earnings and therefore their bonuses and salary. They're all guilty and they know it. Under a vigorous Department of Justice (say, oh, an Obama one) they could all be prosecuted.

The Republican controlled Congress was able to repeal Posse Comitatus Act that removed states control over their national guard forces in 2006.

However, The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 (H.R. 4986), which Congress passed on January 22 and President Bush signed into law on January 28, contained language that effectively repealed revisions to the Posse Comitatus Act made in 2006. The 2006 language made it easier for a president to declare martial law.

A wide range of freedom-loving individuals had opposed the expansion of police powers granted to the federal government as part of the ongoing "war on terror." In an address before the House of Representatives on May 22, 2007, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) cited "the changes made to the Insurrection Act of 1807 and to Posse Comitatus by the Defense Authorization Act of 2007." Because of that act, warned Paul, "martial law can be declared not just for 'insurrection' but also for 'natural disasters, public health reasons, terrorist attacks or incidents' or for the vague reason called 'other conditions.'"

My concern is that this is not national guard troops we are talking about here. This is the US Army division aka under authority of the president and homeland security. Even if this is unconstitutional, who will enforce this with Mukasey at the helm of a corrupted Department of Justice who refuses to enforce Congressional subpoenas?

Voters now rank Obama higher on the economy than McCain.

I am an American taxpayer feed up with the last eight years.

An interesting thing happened on The Rachel Maddow Show last night. During a give and take with Pat Buchanan, Rachel asked who he thought was responsible for the current financial crisis. His response was classic: the "liberals". (Poor Pat. Still stuck in the liberal vs. conservative time capsule of the 60's.) Rachel, visibly surprised, asked why. His explanation? It was because of the "liberal" lending policies of the banks to people who were not good credit risks. And then the magic moment happened. Rachel threw her head back and roared with laughter. Pat was noticeably chagrined.

I was reminded at that moment of an interview I saw with the great Mel Brooks some years ago concerning his portrayal of the Nazis in The Producers. His philosophy (and I'm paraphrasing here) was that if you make something funny, it becomes ridiculous and thus diminishes its importance. Chorus-boy Nazis and frauleins with pretzel-covered breasts goose-stepping to the tune from Springtime for Hitler — now that's funny! And Mel was right. His single greatest achievement was to make a joke out of something diabolical. Maybe there's a lesson for us here.

The McCain/Palin campaign is still relevant because we make it so. But in fact it's a big laugh. We let the lies and the distortions get to us. We get angry and respond with long-winded arguments and rants. When all it deserves is a laugh. Take a page out of Ronald Reagan's playbook: chuckle, smile, and say, "There he goes again." And walk away laughing. Looking ridiculous is an unforgivable mistake in politics. Once you've been labeled a joke no one will take you seriously. McCain/Palin is a joke. It deserves a good laugh.

And yet the Clintons STILL try to undermine Obama. Lieberman like...

Nice Perspective. I like that. I hope it works.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP 1;

By now the U.S. public/taxpayer are the proud owners of AIG, Freddie and Fannie and within days most of Wall-Street, and might as wel start taking theyr 'prized possesions' into theyr own hands. Turn the SHOCK around and start behaving like the OWNERS, and make sure, YOUR POSSESSIONS are going to be managed in a way that benefits the WE THE PEOPLE, kick em Bernanke's, Paulson's and all that other white-wasshing-trash into the gutter where they belong!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 2;

With your prized possessions in your owners hands, you'll be able to stabilize the crumbling mortgage market, wich is the main reason for the credit crunch, with a fore-closure stop!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 3;

Make sure that your prized possessions MAKE money and remember YOU ARE THE BANK NOW! Invite all evicted home-owners and bail them out with a proposal to rent theyr fore-closed houses against the current housing market price, you can gather more than a million lease-contracts by now, wich means a steady income and probably a profit on YOUR INVESTMENT in the near future! 1 million times an average rent of say, 1000 dollars a month, wel, you can do the math!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 4;

See this whole whole DISSASTER AS A CHANCE to become THE REAL OWNERS OF YOUR COUNTRY, those Neo-Conned GOP-fraud-artists can be beaten once you show the determination that you'll hold on to YOUR PRIZED POSSESSIONS!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 5;

TAKE PRISONERS, HUNT THE THUGS DOWN WHO CONSPIRED TO STEAL YOUR COUNTRY, TO ENSLAVE YOU, WHO SEND YOU TO DIE IN THE GOD-FORSAKEN DESERTS OF IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN, MAKE EM DO HARD LABOR FOR THE REST OF THEYR LIVES!

Peace, and be prosperous with your prized possessions!

McCain the republican candidate is still going to go a long way to crab the thing in honest way. The $700 billion bail out plan for the present financial crisis is another jolt for the masses. he financial crisis of the country is so deep that superficial remedy on the cost of tax payer money is ridiculous option. The remedy lies to dig out where really the problem is.
This historical election is a chance for voters to choose the honest. selfless and dedicated leader to bail out the country from the ailing economical crisis. So each eligible voter must vote this time to elect the democratic candidate Obama.
For that use http://www.statedemocracy.org which equipped with all voting related tools.
thanks

42, ferrofluid (Obama + Biden = 2008)...

Hey, Ferrofluid.

Just curious why you were looking at that street in St. Malo? While working in Europe some years ago, I spent a long weekend in St. Malo with 3 friends. Great walled city; food and wine very good....remember a seafood place we went to one night...mm, mm, good. After a couple of days, we drove to Mont St. Michel, a place I had wanted to visit ever since my first trip to Europe in 1986....but didn't get to it until some 14, 15 years later.

With all the depressing crap out there coming from repugs, it sure is nice to reminisce about my days in Europe!

Time for bed.

Because theres not that many countries that have done the street level photos,
USA, Japan, Australia worldwide and France is the only European country to have done it.

Alice X - (Let Nader Debate) - status quObama - change you can pretend in - @ 4:

Cash for Trash.

The 700 Billion or is it a Trillion dollar bailout brought to you by the same people who brought you the 'War' in Iraq.

What is wrong with this picture?

Exactly. If we're going to spend a trillion to bail out Wall street, why not create that "Lock Box" that Al Gore talked about and put Social Security, Medicare, and medicaid --- heck why not create Universal Health care and slap that baby inside? Then main street is covered.

General Jack D. Ripper @ 3:

This jerkoff looks like a white supremacist nazi.

Looks like? He's a Republican.

Nice try pinhead. That crap worked before. It won't again. Your old boss said it best when he said "Fool me once, shame on...me....fool me, .......... we won't get fooled again."

Here is my take on what has happened. In 2000, a few reporters were sick of Al Gore and began examining every little pimple and wart of his, leaving Bush to skate to Supreme Court appointee victory. In 2004, most reporters were still frightened by 9/11, Osama bin Laden, the wars in the Middle East and the anthrax mystery to really examine Bush effectively, and again he kept the White House.
Now, the MSM has collectively awakened to see how it has been manipulated in a major way by Bush-Cheney these past seven-plus years. They now see how incompetence has led us into disaster in terms of financial markets, government operations (like Katrina) and international relations. The truth is, the Bush-Cheney cadre CAN NOT GOVERN. The prospect of four more years of people who have no idea how to govern frightens them -- read George Will's column about McCain's "dismaying temperment" in today's Washington Post. The MSM is now beginning to do the jobs they have had all along and really scrutinizing people's records. There's lots to find with McCain-Palin; not so much with Obama-Biden, who are two intelligent, thoughtful men who respect the rule of law.
The thing that amuses is the hollering about unfairness from the McPain camp. I mean, what was fair about what the outright lying about Gore and Kerry in 2000 and 2004? GOP advisers recently complained about middle-class "whiners" having a hard time making ends meet. Yet they are whining. They can dish it out, but can't take it.
Just my two cents'.

Slick Sarah the Talking Snake Slayer is dissapointed the American taxpayer has to bailout the financial services and insurance industry http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080917/ap_on_el_pr/palin

....dissapointed we had to do it less than 2 months before the election is what SSTSS meant to say.

So considering the fact that the next president, whoever that may be, has to deal with astronomical budget deficits for at least the first two years, I have decided that I absolutely will not vote for Obama. Sure I would likely fare better under Obama, but that's like saying I would fare better facing a rabid badger compared to a giant shark.

I was already leaning against Obama for his FISA vote... Had too many concerns with that being simply political expediency. Also, it reminded me of B. Clinton and his support of DOMA and DADT. Sure B. Clinton was a good president overall, but unconstitutional is unconstitutional, and DOMA certainly is, just as the FISA bill is unconstitutional.

The thing is, if WE don't hold them accountable and vote for them anyway, we only have ourselves to blame for a Constitution in shreds and an economy in the dumpster. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Voting for the Republicrat party's candidate will not fix our situation. However, you can be sure they will do all they can to not only save their political butts, but their real butts as well.

They know full well if we DON'T pass this bailout, supposedly up to 2 million jobs will be lost over the next two years. That many unemployed people would likely result in massive discontent, if not outright revolution and political violence. In addition, the effects would not be felt by the US alone, and that means greater international violence as well once the global unemployment rate increases.

So instead, we just work to stave off the inevitable. So long as it doesn't happen now, who cares? Just pawn off the problems on the next generation, who will have to just pawn it off once more on the subsequent generation.

Oh well...

And you thought President clinton was slich hahahahahahah
