The dangerous and discredited efforts of reparative therapy which claim it can convert people from gay to straight, is endorsed by the Texas Republican Party. Gov. Rick Perry was speaking in San Francisco on Wednesday night, and a Common Wealth interviewer asked him about this controversial practice his party is supporting. The Texas Governor went on to compare homosexuality to alcoholism.
For the record, alcoholism is progressive, chronic and fatal. Homosexuality is not.
