There's not that much to say about this disgusting clip. Here we have former Navy SEAL Carl Higbie and Koch shill Pete Hegseth not only endorsing waterboarding as something that's really not so bad, but then making the absurd claim that if we had waterboarded the Brussels bombers, they might not have committed their act of terror yesterday.

Higbie, as surrogate for Trump, explained earnestly that waterboarding isn't really all that bad. After all, Navy SEALs get it as part of their training, and while it's miserable, it's not that terrible.

"And if they waterboarded this guy they caught in Brussels, they might have had this information to stop this attack, so I think it should be brought back out," he added.

There's so much wrong with that last statement. It assumes that waterboarding is effective. It's not. It assumes that waterboarding would have yielded useful information. It doesn't.

Statements like that, broadcast by former Special Forces officers, are beyond disgusting. And then there's this tweet:

Hegseth more or less agreed with Higbie, because of course he did. There's no daylight between Cruz and Trump on this issue, so it's only a question of who says it more forcefully.

Truly pathetic human beings, both of them.
