Facing a barely civil crowd, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus told Sean Hannity that he thought a brokered Republican convention was highly unlikely. He praised his party for the high turnout and great ratings they've enjoyed this primary season, and at the end of the interview, he refused to take blame for the GOP Congress's failure to overturn Obamacare and "end Executive amnesty."

"If I could wave a wand and overturn Obamacare and tear up executive amnesty, I would do it on this stage." said Priebus.

Both Priebus and Hannity appeared nervous and defensive in front of this crowd. "I know you're not in Congress," said the Fox News Host. Hannity pushed Reince to agree that Congress has the "power of the purse" and that they could have done more to stop Obamacare and 'executive amnesty.'

Reince Priebus responded in the worst possible way for this crowd: he reminded them that Barack Obama is President of the United States and has power under the Constitution to stop the Republican Congress dead in their tracks, no matter how much CPAC might growl about it.

"[We also] have a Constitution that provides for veto authority that the President has, and that's Constitutional as well. [Audience rumbles.] I mean, I'm for ya, I mean, you can't promise things you can't deliver as well. [Audience really rumbles.]"

CPAC is a bunch of rabid, Reagan-worshipping conservative dead-enders for whom the Constitution is revered as long as it doesn't give any power to the Kenyan Usurper in the White House. They're not a fan of the RNC, who they feel sold them out by accepting that, well, yeah, the President of the United States has...veto power?

Reince tried to temper their rage by pointing out at the end of this video that hey, the RNC is a Maaaaajor Sponsor of your convention. "We threw all this money at you so please love us!"

Direct quote: "We support you, we love you, and we want you to be proud of your Party."

Then he and Hannity got off the stage as quickly as they could.

The whole 22 minute interview is at C-Span.
