A gem from the Pre-Code days before Hollywood got all priggish about sex and horror, this 1932 adaptation of the 1924 Richard Connell short story features Joel McCrea and Leslie Banks. It also showcases the talents of a number of cast and crew who would go on to turn Merian Cooper's idea of "a giant gorilla on top of the Empire State building" into King Kong a year later.

Enjoy!
