In a new poll poll by The Washington Post and George Mason University's Schar School l conducted last week shows that the American people trust Robert Mueller much more to be honest with the facts than Donald Trump.
This is a fairly big deal since Trump, Republicans in Congress, his minions on Fox News and other conservative outlets have attacked the integrity of Robert Mueller, the special counsel, and the entire FBI to defend Trump at all costs.
Cries of "witch hunt" have blasted out from Trump to Sarah Huckabee Sanders to his state -sponsored propagandists for almost two years now.
What is really interesting about this whole is that is it is weighted more towards Republicans and Independents than Democrats.
As Politico notes, "The poll, conducted Feb. 6-10, showed 56 percent of respondents were more inclined to accept a version of the facts from Mueller, while 33 percent put more trust in Trump's accounts. Respondents were selected randomly; 32 percent identified as Democratic, 39 percent as independent and 26 percent as Republican."
Embedded in in the new poll our numbers the Trump administration will not enjoy.
51-34% approve of the way Mueller is handling the investigations. 52-35% disapprove of the way Trump has responded to the Mueller investigations.
Mueller has not uttered a word in his defense or his handling of the special counsel since he was empowered.
Numbers do not look good for Trump on impeachment if Mueller finds he obstructed justice or "colluded" with Russia.
