I know you'll find this hard to believe, but Donald Trump isn't really a stable genius. What's that, you say? OK, you didn't say that. I did. Captain Capslock took to Truth Social while on break during the hush money/election interference trial to dramatically feign victimization again. But while throwing his pity party, the twice-impeached, four-times indicted former President, who left office in disgrace, accidentally admitted that the Stormy Daniel's $130,000 payoff would have mattered if it came out before the election.

"THIS ISN'T A TRIAL, IT'S A POLITICAL CAMPAIGN, A WITCH HUNT, JUST LIKE THE HIGHLY CONFLICTED AND BIASED JUDGE, JUAN MERCHAN, WANTED IT TO BE, "the former President wrote. "I'M SURE HIS POLITICAL FRIENDS AND ALLIES, AND CROOKED JOE BIDEN, IN PARTICULAR, WILL BE THRILLED THAT THEY ARE GETTING AWAY WITH THIS CORRUPT, "ANCIENT," AND HIGHLY POLITICAL ATTACK ON HIS 2024 PRESIDENTIAL OPPONENT."

Aside from all of the lies in that post, Trump has the emphasized part of his rant wrong. The hush money story came out after the election, while the Hollywood Access story came out just before the election. Maybe he has his sleazy scandals mixed up. And that's the point of the trial. Trump interfered in the election by ensuring the story didn't come out before the election.

I'm sure Lumpy's attorneys are the ones throwing Ketchup at the walls right now. You would think that compared to the story of the stolen documents, the hush money case isn't as relevant, but it is. It tells the tale of how far Trump went to get into power. He, not Biden or election workers, interfered in the 2016 election, and he tried to steal the 2020 election.
