It's been a tough week for Michele Bachmann, with the reported demise of the Tea Party Caucus and her crazy talk on the House floor.

And now?

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) is under investigation by the Office of Congressional Ethics for alleged misuse of campaign funds, as first reported by the Daily Beast. [...]

Peter Waldron, who served as Bachmann’s national field coordinator in the 2012 presidential race, has filed an the Federal Election Commission complaint alleging that the lawmaker’s campaign improperly used leadership PAC funds to pay presidential campaign staff. He says he has spoken to investigators in what he described as “a very cordial two-hour meeting,” and other staffers tell the Daily Beast that the questions they were asked relate to the same payments. Waldron has also accused Bachmann’s team of not paying Iowa staffers and of attempting to force them to sign non-disclosure agreements.

A reminder: Bachmann won the Iowa Straw Poll in 2011.

Nice party you've got there, Republicans.
