A friend lent gave me that book, but I didn't get around to reading it, and then I moved so it got shipped to Canada. Anyway, she told me about it. Sounds very cool!!!!
[edit: Wonder what the snowflakes look like around wherever Cheney is? ...Horribly monstrous?]
If Cheney's brain can pinpoint more potential incidents of blow-back against him and the actions of the Bush administration, then his brain should be probed.
A number of very thin, flexible electrodes can be inserted into various parts of his brain with little or no discomfort. He can then be probed for valuable information that could save the lives of countless Americans over the next few years.

You must not know, then. Open your mind. I can imagine the shape a water crystal would take given your words.
The research of Dr. Masaru Emoto captures frozen water crystals in photographs that present a glimpse into the mysterious response of water to thoughts, words and pictures.
I must admit, though, I clicked on ducatidave's name and found that his posts generally all take a derisive tone. Too bad. Water around him must make some very sad shapes... and don't forget, our bodies are 1/3 water, so that is why our attitudes very much shape our realities.

it stops snowing, and there's no snow pack on the mountain ranges around the world, and there's no freshwater run-off in the Spring, and so there's not enough water for them to make Tea!!!?

..I on the other hand have a cozy wood pellet stove blazing away
(fairly eco-friendly as well),
very nice to come in to, after shoveling 20cms of powder at midnite ... its nice here when everything is covered in a blanket of fresh snow... the pretty little black and white mergansers are swimming in the bay even tho its almost frozen over ... (wish I didn't have to go to work).
I miss that kinda stuff about living in Canada; that whole scene you described.
I saw the Chinese are now making burnable stove pellets from all kinds of things that used to be waste, like corn stalks. However they explained it (can't remember details), it's more eco-friendly than what they used to do, saves on using coal and wood/trees.
Saw El Limpballs on Faux a little earlier this evening, unfortunately not speaking from his death bed.
As predicted by several folks on C&L yesterday, Rush was was just as effusive as he could be praising the US health care system and about the wonderful, competent, efficient treatment he received, for what was most likely a contrived problem in the first place.
He blurted that his experience Proves that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the health care system - it does not need reform of any kind. Which is pretty much correct, the health care practitioners we have are generally quite excellent - problem is El Lardo, millions don't have access to the health care because they have no insurance and can't afford to pay for it!!!
Expect to see his diatribe repeated ad infinitum for the next few weeks.

That a-hole is SOOOO predictable. Of course he has no prob with healthcare, what with the f-load of money he has. Of course, now he's untouchable in the sense, if anyone attacks him, he'll WHIIIINNNNEEEE cuz he's sick. And the ditto heads with fall in line as usual.....
when Beck had his butthole problems, there was just no end to his little girl whining about how horrible it was in the hospital. But that was before any so-called "reform" was talked about and a non-white President.
We're supposed to have a few falling here around Philly this weekend, and I'm going to get some black construction paper and take my grandnephews outside to "catch" and quickly see some of those amazing shapes .....before they melt. Too bad we have no electron microscope.

I hear you on the Chertoff part. Something else that stood out is here we are in a "time of war" and private contractors are winning bids and supplying limited, expensive scanners instead of the government obtaining as many as possible, even if they do show you neeked (OMG not in our conservative society)
And help me please. You are telling me that Schipol Airport in Amsterdam, where the Lockerbie bombed plane took off, does not have a full body scanner?
...is mind-opening.

When will government of the people, by the politicians, for the corporations perish from this Earth?
Not soon enough!
... around Dick Cheney as they are everywhere else.
Just as no one has ever proved there is a God, no one has ever proved that there is a Cheney, or at least one with supernatural powers.
But, then again, there is that constant stench of death....

Same as here, and we got pretty snowflakes this morning. :)

Not looking forward to the heating bill.
As I live in "the shoebox" (see yesterday's open thread) the heating bill is manageable. There are benefits to being scaled back. (Less cleaning too.)

and lots of snow. Oh well, it's January!
and we can still wear sun glasses in one direction :)
and there must be a chinook somewhere around here!
I've been marvelling at the brilliant sparkles refracted from the snow pack in the forest here as I hike everyday.
Great to see the crystals themselves close up.

And so many of his followers are quite happy with their health coverage, too.
Until something catastrophic happens. But as long as it doesn't happen to them, they will jeer derisively at those who are having problems.
