Too bad these guys are so full of shit they want to throw up.

It is bad for the country to have them blathering from their soap boxes into a five network 50,000,000,000 Watt Megaphone.

Where the hell are all the Democrats on TV? It's as if they don't even exist anymore...

But there's this silver lining: Until the primaries are over, the GOP will continue shooting itself in the foot, multiple times per day.

willard - Obama bashing and promising to eliminate tax - nice one willard, considering we are in desperate need of revenue. willard, the most dangerous candidate in recent history.

Willard wants to give ALL his vast fortune raised on vulture capitalism to his children, horder, so he wants to eliminate the estate tax too - sheesh!

I have to admit, I'm surprised the Republican's aren't voting in a Christian. But, I guess we'll see if they can actually pull that lever in November for a Mormon. [/churchlady]

Just that one dude who is the only candidate to serve in your armed services and who respects the Bill of Rights. No biggie. Oh he is also the only one who is anti-war and wants to end the war on drugs too. But the media says he is unremarkable so best to pretent and ignore him. The oath of office is antiquated as it is anyway. Have a good one. Enjoy your American Gladiators.

Ron Paul does not respect the Bill of Rights. Saying it in every post for two days isn't going to change that fact.

Right, so when Ron Paul eliminates pretty much the federal government what is his plan for dealing with mass anarchy afterward? The fact is that Paul wouldn't be able to do anything he wants to anyway. The powers that be won't let him. This is probably one of the only times I agree with the powers that be.

Geronimo.'s picture

Ron Paul believes in the human spirit and doesn't think mass anarchy will be the result. He also trusts in local law enforcement to do what is best for their communities, or for those communities to influence the local law enforcement enough to effectively police themselves if necessary.

As far as I know. He voted against the NDAA if that is what you support.

"You don't support Ron Paul? Well you probably think it's great for the president to be able to grab anybody off the streets and hold them in a secret prison forever without charge or any evidence that they are a danger to anyone". Come on, you know better than to come out with a lazy, cowardly ad hominem like that to try to paint your beloved Paul's critics as being somehow in league with 'the enemy'. When you resort to tactics like that, deliberately projecting a wholly negative stance on somebody with no evidence, you appear afraid of having an actual discussion about the merits of your own point of view. Probably because there aren't any - Paul can believe in the human spirit all he likes, that doesn't mean eliminating a bunch of government agencies (and the jobs they have and the work they do) won't cause enormous upheaval for the country.

Not to mention, as is constantly pointed out when it comes to Ron Paul, he only believes in the human spirit of humans who have the same skin tone, genitals and religious beliefs as himself. Nobody else is allowed to make decisions for themselves in his world.

I'm wondering if that was the effect of Democrats voting for Frothy Boy. Overall, it was a good night for the Game Show Host. Not a good night for the Kenyan Socialist.

Just finished watching Romney's victory speech and Santorum's concession speech.

Santorum alluded back to the revolutionary war, and made reference to the wealthy and "educated" kings (not sure if he used that exact word). What is this man's problem with education? Simple, educated people don't vote Republican. But his "tale" of the Revolutionary War... I couldn't help but think, "Hey Rick, in that story, YOU and the GOP are the wealthy Brits waging war on the poor farmers in America."

Santorum goes on to whine about how were not drilling & strip mining every square inch of our country to produce more oil, even holding up a chunk of Shale as a prop, noting how high quality "light-sweet crude" oil can be extracted from it.

Then Romney gives this ridiculous speech where he promises an "across the board tax cut" (that means a huge windfall for the rich and crumbs to the poor), and THEN promises "to eliminate the 'Death Tax'." The morons behind him CHEER, and I'm thinking to myself: "There's not ONE SINGLE PERSON on that stage behind him that would ever have to pay that 'Death Tax'. What on Earth are they cheering?"

Romney wonders why on Earth Obama would say no to "Keystone", saying he would "approve KXL" so that oil would be available "here at home". I guess Mittens never got the memo that the piipeline goes to the Gulf because it's intended for EXPORT.

One fact comes shining through: To be a Republican, you have to be seriously uninformed."

I personally believe this means that people are not liking what they see in Santorum. Does that translate, however, into votes for Romney?

Looks like the "Democrats for Santorum" didn't achieve their goal of promoting Theocracy and restoring America to the 18th century... I mean, helping Obama have an easy opponent and have a few laughs.

I know I've already made my point on this in other threads but between this site and a few other comments sites I've been on over the past few days I'm baffled at the lack of memory people seem to have. They truly believe that Rick Santorum is crazy enough to make people stop voting GOP. Really? Crazy enough to get a bunch of birthers, secessionists, teabaggers and Theocratists to finally become enlightened and see the error of their ways?

Remember when we said the same about Dan Quayle? He was so radically rightwing that Americans would surely wake up and see that the GOP is crazy! Nope, wrong. We got George Bush Jr. But surely nobody would vote GOP again after the disaster that was GWB and his radical rightwing agenda? Oops, wrong again. We got Palin claiming GWB was a liberal. But surely after that laugh factory that was Sarah people would wake up and see the GOP had gone too far... Wait, then we got the Tea Party? Surely this must be the limit and the GOP will implode... Again, those who laughed were wrong. Now we had Rick Santorum getting votes from dumbass liberals who thought it'd be funny to vote for a Theocratic prosperity gospel woman-hating racist nutjob because surely his candidacy will make Americans wake up and see the GOP is crazy. And the national dialogue keeps getting pushed further to the right each time.

Yet, anyone who mentions that perchance, Ron Paul might be a decent GOP candidate is ridiculed as a Paulbot and riddled with cries of "racist!!!" Really? Is Paul a bigger racist than Santorum? Gingrich? Romney? What Republican has a chance in hell if they don't play the Southern Strategy?

But god forbid there be a real anti-war, pro-privacy candidate in the running. That would be stupid. We wouldn't want poor Obama to have to answer for his war crimes, his expansion of the Bush Doctrine and his continued shoveling of money to Wall Street and the 1% through Geithner and Bernanke. That might make our dear leader look bad! Ron Paul might have many terrible ideas for our nation, but all of Santorum's ideas are bad. All of Romney's ideas are bad. All of Gingrich's ideas are bad. And many of Obama's ideas are bad.

Seriously, I want anyone who thought a Santorum candidacy would be good for the nation to explain to me why? What good would come of it?

I can give you a long list of bad that would come of it. Number one: It would give even more primetime coverage of an ideology that should have been abandoned in the 18th century and help make it mainstream again.

In response to Santorum's vomit comment:

The idea of separation of church and state,

Romney said, "has been used by some to demand that there is no recognition of God in society."

"I do not believe we should establish secularism as a new religion in America," he said. "At the same time I respect President Kennedy and his expression of his own views."

What does that mean and who's God is he talking about?

Ape-Man's picture

It means shit is so full of santorum that it is literally making him nauseous.
Note to willard - Exactly by whom has it "been used" by? Got a name you can pull out of your magic huggies?
Note to republicans - America is a secular nation - that's where she gets her strength - - get used to it.

From what I read in exit polling (thanks, MSNBC!), the dems didn't play a huge role. Either that or dems crossing over lied about their political affiliation.

I was shocked that Romney only won over women voters 43-38 after everything Santorum has said.

As per usual, the young folks skewed Paul (37% to 26% Romney & 32% Frothy), but they were only 10% of the voting bloc. The biggest chunk was 45-to-64-year-old whites (SHOCKING!).

Self-identified Dems only made up 9%, and self-identified "very liberal" or "somewhat liberal" only made up 12%.

Santorum was BIG among tea party supporters and tea party opponents (read: liberals & moderate republicans), and generally solid among low-income/low-education voters (again, SHOCKING!) but it's effing hilarious that he lost Catholics by nearly 10%.
