It's really pretty funny watching Andrew Breitbart throw conniptions claiming that his little dirty trickster, James O'Keefe, was actually set up by the Department of Justice.

Breitbart said he though the U.S. attorney's effort was part of a payback scheme against O'Keefe, who posed as a pimp and prostitute with another citizen journalist to enter ACORN offices around the country and get advice on how to apply for federal housing grants for a brothel.

"It's tied to the Justice Department. And we've been very aggressive in asking (Attorney General) Eric Holder to investigate what's seen on these ACORN tapes and he's ignored it," Breitbart said of the media ploy.

Apparently they were lured into donning phone-repairman disguises and attempting to infiltrate the phone system at a federal building. By, um, Sen. Landrieu! That's the ticket! They did the whole "jammed phone lines" thing just to sucker in poor O'Keefe. Uh-huh. Poor guys.

Dang that DoJ and their mind-control plots!

Seems like they should have been trying to gain access Holder's phones to "prove" that he was ignoring their calls to investigate ACORN. Guess their mommies couldn't drive them to D.C., so they were stuck with Landrieu's office.

What a brilliant plan by the DOJ. Hell it's so brilliant that O'Keefe still doesn't seem to recognize it.

O'Keefe should save his lies for the boys in the yard. And like the late great Richard Prior suggested, "Keep the inmates laughing so that they won't think about sex."

Bernie Goldberg (I think that was the guys name) was on BillO last night raising hell because the NYT carried such a big story about O'Keefe and what he did. He said the Times never made that big a story about Rev. Wright.

Then on morning joe today that whole crew thought too much was being made of what a "kid" did. Joe said he was only 24, a college student. Okay, maybe kids stay in college longer than they used to. Maybe O'Keefe is going for his PHD or something.

I think O'Keefe was on Hannity last night. Is it true, does anyone know if the judge slapped a gag order on this case?

I'd heard that, too. Appearing on Hannity, then, would be in contempt of court ... which ain't exactly going to win Jimmy O'Keefe, Cub Reporter any points.

And if there's not a gag order, then O'Keefe should be prepared to have his statements introduced as evidence. He admitted he and his friends posed as phone company employees, confirming the first part of the charge 'entering federal premises under false pretenses'.

Bernie Goldberg is the former CBS News reporter who wrote the book 'Bias' (which was largely assumed to be sour grapes because he didn't get a snappy promotion). Amusing to see hack journalists coming out in defense of a hack journalist. Take note - the ones who whine the most about how poor little Jimmy the Journalist is getting slagged are probably O'Keefe's ethical role models.

Blartblart and O'Keefe, in turning in doctored tapes to the DOJ, essentially did the same thing as what Scooter Libby did, which was throw sand in the faces of federal investigators by lying to them.

Blartblart and O'Keefe should go to federal prison for the doctored ACORN tapes.

The conspiracy undoubtedly runs much deeper than anyone suspects. AT&T is obviously in on it, they clearly installed telephone lines to lure in unsuspecting kids from the "fake telephone repair guy" subculture. It can be traced all the way back to Alexander G. Bell, who introduced the telephone for this very purpose. He also shares his last name with Art Bell. Coincidence? Think about it.

By the way, keep a file on this O'Keefe guy. He's going to be the campaign manager for the GOP candidate in the 2040 presidential election.

The MSM has dropped the ball again. Andrew Breitbart owns the rights to O'Keefe's life story -- biography a.k.a. life rights -- and has a financial interest in whatever occurs in this ongoing drama. If Breitbart wasn't involved in the actual alleged felony, he is at least a direct benefactor because of his contract with O'Keefe. He shouldn't be on TV adding to or subtracting from the story as it is only to his benefit to do so..........
