I fail to see how any prosecutor can bypass Sarah and charge Todd with anything. It was Sarah who had the spending authority as Mayor to help grease the construction company for help with Todd's building project. It was Sarah as Governor who could potentially steer lucrative contracts their way. Todd may have improperly sat in on a lot of meetings he had no business being at, but he couldn't sign any checks to my knowledge.

My money's on Allen Dulles as being behind the assassination. Though ousted by Kennedy as Director of CIA just weeks before, he still had connection in an agency that was after all designed to be clandestine, and whose officials and agents operated with sufficient independence that they might continue to follow his orders even after he was officially gone. As V.P. Nixon had had oversight over the agency during the Eisenhower administration, and could have seen to it that all key personnel were loyal to the Repuke party first and the constitution second, third or not at all. (similar to the stacking of the DoJ under Bush)
Other suspects like the Mob or Castro have been put forward as having been involved, and they may have been peripherally. But only someone with connections in the intelligence and law enforcement communities could have acted to suppress real evidence and plant false trails after the fact of the assassination.

Was on his deathbed, had nothing to lose, and could easily have been tossing out one more red herring before his demise. Didn't he blame frickin' LBJ? Once again, you can claim almost anybody to have been involved on the periphery, but if you're looking for the spider at the center of the web that person MUST logically have had high-level connections in the intelligence, law enforcement, and possibly military apparatus.
I doubt that LBJ had any more of a chance of something like making JFK's brain (the most important evidence, especially WRT the direction of the fatal shot) disappear than did Castro or any other non-government suspect you might name. Again, the standard analysis of motive, means and opportunity would point to Dulles.

Many political observers in Alaska are fixated on rumors that federal investigators have been seizing paperwork from SBS in recent months, searching for evidence that Palin and her husband Todd steered lucrative contracts to the well-connected company in exchange for gifts like the construction of their home on pristine Lake Lucille in 2002. The home was built just two months before Palin began campaigning for governor, a job which would have provided her enhanced power to grant building contracts in the wide-open state.
SBS has close ties to the Palins. The company has not only sponsored Todd Palin's snowmobile team, according to the Village Voice's Wayne Barrett, it hired Sarah Palin to do a statewide television commercial in 2004.
Though Todd Palin told Fox News he built his Lake Lucille home with the help of a few "buddies," according to Barrett’s report, public records revealed that SBS supplied the materials for the house. While serving as mayor of Wasilla, Sarah Palin blocked an initiative that would have required the public filing of building permits—thus momentarily preventing the revelation of such suspicious information.
Just months before Palin left city hall to campaign for governor, she awarded a contract to SBS to help build the $13 million Wasilla Sports Complex. The most expensive building project in Wasilla history, the complex cost the city an additional $1.3 million in legal fees and threw it into severe long-term debt. For SBS, however, the bloated and bungled project was a cash cow.

I think I am seeing the preparation for a new talk radio/tv show host.
