Andrew Breitbart's Nixonian ratf*&ker named James O'Keefe
Andrew Breitbart sounds like a whiny ass titty baby when he joined David Shuster and tried to promote the idiotic notion that the publicity O'Keefe is getting from the media is tainting the jury against him....LOL. The idiotic plot that O'Keefe concocted to smear Mary Landrieu is now smearing Breitbart, and for good reason.
Notice how he tries to change the subject of his pal who is a student of Nixon's dirty-trick political ideology.
Rick Perlstein explains this in his awesome book "Nixonland." This is a longstanding tradition in conservative politics: the dark art of political destruction at all costs. Karl Rove was one of these young conservative operatives back in 1970 who lied his way into Al Dixon's campaign and distributed phony invitations.
In the autumn election season of 1970, a cherubic, bespectacled teenager turned up at the Chicago campaign headquarters of Alan Dixon, a Democrat running for state treasurer in Illinois. No one paid the newcomer much attention when he arrived, or when he left soon afterwards. Nor did anyone in the office make the connection between the mystery volunteer and 1,000 invitations on campaign stationery that began circulating in Chicago's red-light district and soup kitchens, promising "free beer, free food, girls and a good time for nothing" for all-comers at Dixon's headquarters.
O'Keefe and his crew are only following in the footsteps of the worst of the worst. They are funded by a right wing outfit called The Leadership Institute.
Founded in 1979 by veteran Republican activist Morton Blackwell, the Leadership Institute has worked with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Karl Rove and Grover Norquist. The group raked in $6.6 million in 2008, according to its most recent publicly available IRS filings, which doesn’t list donors.
“What we teach is to use creative and imaginative ways to make your points, to reveal what we think is political correctness run amuck, liberal hypocrisy and double standards” on left-leaning college campuses, said Sutton, who supervised O’Keefe at the institute until O’Keefe was asked to leave because his investigative work could interfere with the Institute’s Internal Revenue Service standing...read on
Poor James is ordered to stay at mommy and daddy's house to keep him out of trouble.
James O'Keefe, the 25-year-old conservative filmmaker who was arrested this week in connection with a plot to tamper with phone lines in Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's New Orleans office, is out of jail on $10,000 bond, Talking Points Memo reports. The judge ordered O'Keefe to live with his parents until a preliminary hearing set for Feb. 13.
And notice the high powered lawyer O'Keefe immediately received. He's backed by big conservative money.
Michael Madigan, O'Keefe's lawyer, said Wednesday that his client was not trying to wiretap or interfere with Landrieu's phones, but he would not explain why O'Keefe was there. He also would not say whether O'Keefe was working for someone or was on his own.
"The truth will come out," said Madigan, a Washington lawyer who represented Sen. Howard Baker, the Republican who famously asked during the Watergate investigation, "What did the President know and when did he know it?"
Watergate. Wow, it all fits, doesn't it?
Jonathan Turley explains all the charges here.
A lot of people also don't realize that O'Keefe doctored the tapes to make it look like he was actually dressed up as a pimp at ACORN.
ACORN spokesman Kevin Whelan said the arrest calls O'Keefe's credibility into question, and used the opportunity to point out that he "edited (ACORN videos) to make things look as bad as possible." He said, for instance, that O'Keefe actually wore a normal dress shirt when he was in the ACORN offices, but spliced in shots of him dressed as a pimp in the final videos.
.
Mike Stark did a big report on him.
These ratf*&kers are celebrated by FOX News and Andrew Breitbart, but this behavior is a core principle instilled in conservatives. And as for the Junior Watergaters, I don't believe their story, because as this story explains, they were trying to gain more access to Landrieu's phone system.
After being asked, the staffer gave Basel access to the main phone at the reception desk. The staffer told investigators that Basel manipulated the handset. He also tried to call the main office phone using his cell phone, and said the main line wasn't working. Flanagan did the same.
They then told the staffer they needed to perform repair work on the main phone system and asked where the telephone closet was located. The staffer showed the men to the main General Services Administration office on the 10th floor, and Flanagan and Basel went in. There, a GSA employee asked for the men's credentials. They said they left them in their vehicle.
The U.S. Marshal's Service apprehended all four men shortly thereafter.
If they had that type of access, I think they would have had a field day and committed many more crimes.

"All they intended to do was to VIDEOTAPE THE OFFICE STAFF TO SHOW HOW THEY ARE IGNORING THE PUBLICS CALLS TO LANDRIEU TO KILL THE HEALTHCARE LEGISLATION."
Heh.
I'll try to find the link.
(I've been reading stuff all over the place....)
Just found the source: Los Angeles Times, January 29, 2010 - Front section, page A21, far upper column right.
Headline: "Lawyer Says Wiretapping Wasn't Goal": The four men accused of targeting a senator's office only wanted video, he says.
Here's just the first paragraph: "Four conservative activists accused of trying to tamper with a senator's phones were attempting to record undercover video of her staff ignoring calls from constituents angry that she supported President Obama's healthcare overhaul, one of their attorneys said Thursday."
"The US has an army of 90,000 soldiers in Afghanistan and is spending $100bn a year, but has still been unable to defeat 20,000-25,000 Taliban who receive no pay at all." - Patrick Cockburn
How interesting that El Rushbo's "wild guess" was spot on as to what O'Keefe and his buddies were doing...
Well, if that was the plan why did they need to go to the main telephone closet? I doubt any of her staffers were in there.
That reasoning sounds a little lame coming from their lawyer.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
The proof is in what they were carrying when apprehended. What type of recording tools, surveillance equipment, etc. The marshalls have that but maybe it's not public yet.
If they were attempting social engineering by getting someone to admit they don't answer phones, they did a pretty crappy job.
Funny part would be if they had traditional analog recording equipment and Landrieu uses VoIP. ha-ha, that would be great.
Furthermore, why would you have to pose as phone company employees to catch people in the act of not answering phones?
Is there a secret number only Landrieu supporters, campaign donors, and Facebook friends know?
Smell Test, does it?
Like O'Thief said - The Truth Will Set Him Free...free to be convicted of a felony.
"A federal law enforcement official said one of the suspects was picked up in a car a couple of blocks away with a listening device that could pick up transmissions. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the information was not part of an FBI affidavit that described the circumstances of the case."
If report is true, why wasn't this info in the affidavit?
... was a perfectly legal handheld scanner (which you can get at Radio Shack, Target, WalMart, etc.), then it cannot be part of the 'intent to commit a felony' charge.
The felony is in the actual tampering with the equipment/physical plant.
My bet is they will try to ignore this story as much as possible until all the news dies down. If O'Keefe is convicted they will barely touch on it in their news segments, and not one of the major Fox Republican Entertainment Channel talking heads like O'Reilly or Hannity will bother mentioning the story at all.
O'Keefe got them what they wanted already. Now that he's bad news for Fox they will ignore him.
It's an exclusive~
Okay so, when O'Keefe goes to jail that will be the top story on Hannity's show?
Seriously? If that is the case, O'keefe has an idiot for a lawyer.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
And if it's a jury trial, anyone who watches FOX News is out.
david shuster reamed that assenheimer royally.

I've seen her movie Das Blaue Licht, Triumph des Willens (which influenced photos of such luminaries as The Beatles, and such chthonic as gary seinfeld cast, and rock documentaries), and of course Olypiad, where she was practically stroking Jessie Owens body with her camera.

I've been in a couple phone closets, and in any mid-size office they're a veritable rat's nest of wires and crap going everywhere. Unless you really know your stuff there's no way these morons could have done anything but install a repeater for the bug in the receptionist's handset. If that's that they were doing, it's a slam dunk federal office wiretapping.
See ya later, boys!

I imagine there may be a search warrant or ten in Breitbart's future. (Plus the apartments of the four suspects, their cars, their computers, etc.)
If they tampered with anything in the equipment room, it's a felony.
For that matter, whatever they did with the handset is enough to get them sent up the river.
How soon until Repubs try to spin this into a Nat Sec issue? Something along the lines of how poor security at a Democratic Federal office allowed four people without credentials to gain access to a Senator. And because O'Keefe exposed how Democrats are still very weak on security, we owe him a debt of gratitude! H.R. 809 anyone?

just as much right to defend these alleged perps as does Jackson or Sharpton to defend their alleged perps of choice.
As does Breitbart regarding these alleged perps.
He is essentially playing that role in this case although he certainly has much more of a direct complicity in the circumstances.
Although I doubt you would defend the actions of the alleged perps.

Republicans claim to be against anal sex, yet James O'Keefe clearly is a Republican ass-baby. At the age of 25, when many men are socially mature enough to hold a steady job and start raising a family, this spoiled, cynical little frat boy spends his time posing as a 70's TV pimp, then doctoring videotapes to smear community action organizations, then attempts to infiltrate the senate offices of a national politician to disrupt communications.
Underlying all of these unethical, illegal activities is O'Keefe's blythe presumption that no matter what he does, his father and his connections within the Republican establishment (like the high-priced Republican lawyer that appeared out of nowhere) will rescue him and see to it that he never spends a day in jail.
I ask you, how childish is this? How stinky is this? What more evidence does a reasonable person need to conclude that, despite their very loud and insistent protestations, Republicans are, in fact, having ass babies?
O'Keefe's father's reaction to his son's crimes is revealing. "Bad judgment" is his judgment. Nothing more. What of your own bad judgment, Mr. O'Keefe? Had you not indulged in unprotected anal sex with your wife, then this whole sordid episode could have been avoided. Instead of having a stinky, pale, reedy little ass-baby on your hands, you might have had a plump, happy little cherub that never would have embarrassed you so.
But no. You just had to pound that ass. Couldn't wait for a rubber. And now, here's the result. Mr. O'Keefe, shame on you for having an ass-baby. Shame!
For most of us they would consider us an adult about 4 years earlier.
But I have noticed that if a person remains a republican their entire life they never mature. A prime example is strom thurman at what ever age he was he still had the maturity of a 12 year old boy.
A fellow I know that is a republican was at my home one day years ago now. There were two other people and it was the first time they had met. After the republican left one of the others ask how old was that guy? I said 31. One of the others said I thought from the way he talked he was about 17. It really seems that along with their inability to feel shame, they never grow up. That is one of the reasons I have come to the conclusion that, republicanism/conservatism is a mental illness!
He should be forever referred to as such.
Andy sounds like such a little bitch! He keeps crying and repeating the same sentences like a baby. What an F'n Moron! I'm so glad that David Shuster DESTROYED him.
NOBODY 2012
throw titty in a post and I'm readin it!
Cut the mike and end conversations with people like this.
He is so rude. He thinks it's HIS SHOW and he's interfering, and being rude, shouting over the show host/interviewer.
I hope they have the good sense to NEVER EVER have this guy on TV again.
He simply has NO MANNERS AT ALL.
And I don't give a DAMN what he has to say.
that is understandable, as most of the time, his mouth is filled by drudge's dick
uh, and note to admin...before you delete this post as having no taste...i think it is well beyond time to finally out the closeted gay conservative cabal
taking down phone lines cannot be what they were there for
we are talking about an office that runs on its phones
in a matter of minutes they would have had techies there to repair the problems
they were there to bug the office
call me when the money trail leads to vitter
but in this case it sounds like their plan was to get some embarrassing video, pretend to fix the phones and then leave.
"They then told the staffer they needed to perform repair work on the main phone system and asked where the telephone closet was located. The staffer showed the men to the main General Services Administration office on the 10th floor, and Flanagan and Basel went in."
In other words, they told the staffer that the phone didn't work, and then asked to see a telephone closet, presumably in the office, where they could "fix" the phones and exit with their video. Instead, the staffer personally showed them to the GSA office so their only choices were to brazen it out there or come up with an excuse to the staffer why they didn't need to fix the system they claimed was broken.
The only thing this doesn't explain is what the guy in the car was doing with listening equipment. Still, even fools like these would realize that wiretapping a Senator's office was serious shit. I doubt their intention was anything more than the same type of stuff O'Keefe had gotten away with before.
But, you're forgetting their motive. That, and how st00pid they are.
What is your conceptual, continuity?
"These ratf*&kers..."
Perfect description. They are vermin. Less than vermin. Ugh
i couldn't hear a d-mn thing. they should only be allowed to perform interviews via a chat board with a site monitor to moderate the men babies. is this considered "good tv"?
This is exactly what Hillary Clinton was referring to when she made the "vast right-wing conspiracy" remark so many years back. And unfortunately, it continues today.
I'm sure it was on Bill Clinton's mind, but as President, he couldn't express it without sounding like a mental case. Essentially, Hillary said it, full well knowing her remarks would cause the heat to be directed on her and not her husband.
Jimmy Carter was the first Democratic President after Nixon and Ford and was probably the testing ground for the ratfuckers like Rove to cut their ratty teeth on. By the time Bill Clinton came into office, they were well-trained.
Interference in elections by dirty trick squads must be prosecuted as a federal crime. It's essentially treason against the people of America and the Constitution

Why or how is democracy as we practice it, worth being exported around the world? Seldom do poor people or minorities get a fair shake when confronted with legal maneuverings. ACORN illustrates that point.
All four of them including Breitbart should be given as many years in jail and cost them as much money as the Watergate felons.
