McCain's economic adviser makes Obama's case for him and against McCain's bogus 5000 dollar tax credit as his health care plan.
Younger, healthier workers likely wouldn't abandon their company-sponsored plans, said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, McCain's senior economic policy adviser.
"Why would they leave?" said Holtz-Eakin. "What they are getting from their employer is way better than what they could get with the credit."
dday elaborates on it...

the same boob that said McCain invented the Blackberry? And he still has his job? And now this? If this is any indication of how a McCain administration would be run then why would anybody vote for McCain?
Oh yeah, I forgot -- Obama's a socialist...
Obama said that he was going to collectivize peanut butter-jelly sandwiches!
The longer she delays, the more she fuels the rumors which are circulating about her abortion during her Miss Alaska competition days.
People with the details in Alaska are putting the information on the blogs up there.
I'd say that if she has nothing to hide, then where are the records?
She's worried that she will fall from the pinnacle of being Miss Pro-Life in a heartbeat the minute the truth comes out.
I did not know that.
Of course, it wouldn't matter to us. Other than the hypocrite part.
More of the "Do as I say, not as I do" GOP.
I didn't know that either -- where is the info coming from?
If it turns out that she did undergo an abortion, then she'll just come out and say that she was young and stupid—as opposed to middle-aged and still stupid—and that's why she's so strong against it now: the devil, the Dems and those doctors made me do it.
GOP rhetoric is so hypocritical. They condone wannabe-child-molesters (Foley), serial adulterers, thieves, con-men, corrupt bastards, etc., yet they still blame the Democrats for the so-called decline in "values". But as long their base buys the words and ignores the actions, the GOP will keep at business as usual.
that good old what-goes-around-finally-comes-around feeling... I'll be waiting for this news to "hit" (dick-fingers) the news... like a shark circling in water.
She knows politics is all bullshit and lying to the voters.
It's just that she's an amateur...compared to some others.
Clean up on isle 3!
Holtz Eiken, gotta love him and McCain would like to wring his neck right now. He's just taken any credibility McCain may have had on his bogus health care plan away from him in one fell swoop.
McCain's plan would mean nothing to the millions of us having problems paying for our health care plans - not to mention the millions who have no plan.
I used my outside voice...

Anyone can see that Sen Obama's plan is more beneficial. As a side note, I received notice from my employer that our premiums are going up in Jan 08, as well as our deductable and co-pays. And I work for a large Health System!
all of mcsames people know he is going to lose. They are only there for the money they can make off of this tired old fool.
What a joke mcsame has made of himself.
I almost feel sorry for him. So stupid he has surrounded himself with all these bush money grubbers.
But what the hell mcsame is just a money grubber himself.
He has spent his whole life sucking on the public teat.
Why would anyone vote for the old fool.
But I never thought anyone would be ignorant enough to vote for bush!
I suspect there are a lot of people voting for McCain against their own best interests, despite the fact that they know better. They just can't cross party lines to vote for the best man for the job. Nevermind the race thing:
I am talking about people who are stubbornly sticking with their party rather than doing what is best for the country and themselves.
Sad.
Another wheel comes flying off the Straight Talk Express.
How many wheels does that bus have, anyway? I mean, any day now that thing will be less a moving motor vehicle than a trailer home with a steering wheel and a faded, peeling campaign slogan on its side.
Does McCain actually HAVE any economic advisors, besides maybe Arthur Laffer drawing curves on napkins?
It's a sad day for the Republicans when, after having sent Carly Fiorina and Phil Gramm off to live in a cave in Afghanistan until after the election, they have to ask DENNIS MILLER to be their new economy Guru. And how do you expect to get good sound bites out of a guy who's so hung over that he can't even keep his hands steady enough to hold a RAZOR?
obama's plan has a lot of potential. it's really NOT a government plan. if you are happy with your plan
keep it. obama wants to open up the congressional plan creating a huge pool that would bring down the price. most people will want health insurance if the price becomes more reasonable. wages have NOT
kept pace with cost of living inflation(which they try to hide).
actually the people that are part of a paying POOL absorb the cost of the people that receive healthcare
services in that region essentially a TAX.
the other little tid bit mccain likes to say is 5k which is for a family. mccain's tax break/rebate will NOT
keep pace with the 10% increase in annual cost. mccain also wants to rid REGULATIONs...look out if that happens.
Isn't a health insurance plan nothing but blatant socialistic plot??!!
- take the money from the healthy, put it into a big pot, stir and pass out to the sick - and, of course, keep some of it for the insurance company, the CEO's and all.....
When I see things like this, it makes we wonder yet again if the republicans aren't doing everything in there power to destroy any chance McSame has.
Like some woman who got married?
