NY-20 Special election: 'Too close to call'
We won't have a winner tomorrow. Steele must be chewing on his fingernails.
The race in the 20th Congressional district between Republican Jim Tedisco and Democrat Scott Murphy is too close to call. With 100 percent precincts reporting, Murphy leads Tedisco by only 59 votes, 77,344 to 77,285.
With nearly 6,000 absentee ballots that will essentially decide the race as of Monday, the election will not be decided at least until April 13.
As of Monday, 5,907 absentee ballots were received by the state Board of Elections out of around 10,000 mailed, according to spokesman Bob Brehm. Absentee ballots must be postmarked by March 30 and received within seven days for regular absentee ballots or 13 days for military and overseas ballots.
This election should have been a slam dunk for the republicans, but when you're a party that is run by RushBo, "stuff happens." At least RushBo is moving out of NY...Or as he says: Drop Dead.

As a New Yorker I say, tax Rush's fat ass back to Palm Beach!
What's he doing in librul New York anyway? You would think this is the last place he would want to be, of course dittoheads are too fucking stupid to see the irony and hypocrisy of a their leader bashing liberalism while living part time in the nation's most librul cities (second only to perhaps San Francisco). Why isn't his fat ass living in Omaha Nebraska or Tulsa Oklahoma if he loves conservative societies so much?
Surely you're aware that in that upstate district, there are 70,000 more registered Republicans than registered Democrats. I can easily see why Limbaugh was there: He was motivating that conservative base.
As for why he doesn't live in Omaha...It' probably for the same reason a lot of professional athletes who are neither native Floridians nor performers on Florida teams make their homes there: There's no state income tax.
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust.
for Rush it has always been about the money.
Rush says he's moving out of New York due to New York's taxes. He says the taxes "punish achievers," referring to himself.
But what has he ever achieved? He's a high school graduate, college flunk-out, non-veteran, thrice-divorced, drug-addled, porkulent professional bullshit artist. There is no evidence the man ever created anything in his life beyond hate and discontent.
The only effect his moving from New York to Texas will have is to raise the average IQ of both states. New York should say, "Good riddance."
I hope that's just a rumor that rash limpballs is moving to Texas. We've already got the booshes and the jonas brothers.
Haven't we been punished enough?

If Steele is chewing his fingernails, I can't imagine what Tedisco is doing right about now. Then again, I live relatively close to the 20th district and, after hearing from family members who work close to Tedisco, I know Tedisco's a bit of an irresponsible jerk who doesn't belong in Congress. So I'm getting a HUUUUUUGE bout of schadenfreude over these results.
John Cornyn from Texas will start WWIII to prevent Murphy from being seated. Maybe, if he can get the GOOP to fund this battle, as well as the one against Franken, he can drive his party into fiscal bankruptcy. They're already morally bankrupt.
If Murphy wins Steele is gone causing embarrassment to the GOP, if Murphy looses Steele stays and we still have him to kick around some more as he continues to be a drag on the GOP. The glass is half full either way you look at it!
If the Republicans win by one vote they will declare a mandate. If the Democrats win they'll denounce New York as a liberal bastion out of touch with the rest of America.
Well, while we're waiting 2 weeks for results, perhaps the Murphy and Franken families can go on vacation together. Perhaps a stay in Rush's newly vacated NYC apartment.?
Fuck Rush Lamebrain! New York is way out of his league. All I can say is - adios, motherfucker!
If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're gonna get selfish, ignorant leaders.

one of those 59 votes pushing Murphy ahead is mine. This is a R+3 district, so it was an uphill battle. Right now there is still 4000 absentee ballots to count.
The MOST INTELLIGENT thing Lush Limpdick ever said:
"The economy is a pie. It never grows. Somebody gets their slice; somebody gets their slice. If somebody's slice is bigger than somebody else's it means that somebody else is being cheated"
Now if he could only apply that to places like Walmart...businesses and corporations.
Maybe if CERTAIN DICKEHEADS weren't getting such a big piece of the pie there would be some pie left over for the unemployed and underemployed.
I work in Saratoga Springs and I have heard how Murphy is going to join the Socialists in destroying the country if he wins. Limbaugh would be proud!
While I have no preference in this race, because I have lost faith in most politicians, I hope Murphy can squeak it out, only to drive the knuckle-draggers even crazier.
At the www.poststar.com, the comments on the political stories are nuts!
Republicans have no qualms about saying "fuck you, you're on your own, and by the way, let's lower taxes on the rich"
I believe this Murphy guy is in a district that covers the Adirondack region of New York. Even though most people that live in the region are Republican I'd MUCH rather have a Democrat in there making decisions that will affect the environment in this area - those of you who have been there know how exceptionally beautiful this area is - it's a rare place in the northeastern US in which there is still significant wilderness, and it ought to remain that way.
There are people that live within the "blue line" that would like to see this place become just like everywhere else, with more houses, businesses and pavement - I straight up tell these people JUST LEAVE IT ALONE - if you want houses, businesses and pavement YOU GO to where that is.
Time to call in Katherine Harris and The Supremes!
don't let the door hit you on your fat ass as you leave NY!
