Rep. Darryl Issa is one big con man, but you knew that already. He was outed as a major scam artist when we found out that he selectively released misleading details about the IRS to make it look like they targeted conservatives. President Obama was interviewed by Chris Matthews and responded to that bogus story.

“If on the other hand, you’ve got an office in Cincinnati, an IRS office, that I think for bureaucratic reasons, is trying to streamline a difficult law to begin with, and interpret whether a non-profit is a political organization, deserves a tax exempt agency, and they’ve got a list. Suddenly, everybody's outraged… And, I’ll point out that there are some so-called progressives and perceived to be liberal commentators during that week that were just outraged at the possibility that these folks had in some way been discriminated against. And, that is what gets news.”

Conservatives are up in arms over Obama's take on the phony scam, but the president should have indicted Rep. Darryl Issa for trying to perpetrate a con on the American people. Yes, the right wing media and Beltway elites promoted the bogus story, but Issa is the one who should be singled out as the real villain here.
